II am not at at all diminishing the worry and outrage over the H1b issue, but this author is correct that the conversation went straight from “drones invading” to immigrants invading via the H1b broken system.

yeah, I haven’t seen an adequate answer to who was fielding those drones, the apparent origin of some of them from offshore, etc
granted, there was a lot of civilian mis-identification of normal small-plane and helicopter traffic, but not enough to explain them all
Tucker Carlson and Michael Shellenberger had a long discussion and some potentially wild-hair explanations (there was a Chinese satellite shepherding them; one came down or was brought down and opened up and it was Chinese-made)
But I’ve yet to seen anything that fully convinced me
PresTrump said “they know, I don’t know why they won’t tell you” (referring to the US gummint)
I hope he follows up on that pretty quick and gets some definitive briefings held to inform American citizens

Better late than never: last night a federal district court held that backdoor searches of databases full of Americans’ private communications collected under Section 702 ordinarily require a warrant. The landmark ruling comes in a criminal case, United States v. Hasbajrami, after more than a decade of litigation, and over four years since the Second Circuit Court of Appeals found that backdoor searches constitute “separate Fourth Amendment events” and directed the district court to determine a warrant was required. Now, that has been officially decreed.
