Incoming first lady Melania Trump sat down with ‘Fox & Friends’ co-host Ainsley Earhardt to discuss her upcoming film, the transition back to the White House the second time around how she plans to expand her ‘Be Best’ initiative.
Additionally, the general schedule of the Trump inauguration has been released.
Saturday, Jan. 18 – On Saturday, a president’s reception and fireworks display will take place at Trump National Golf Club in Virginia, as well as a Cabinet reception and vice president’s dinner.
Sunday, Jan. 19 – will include a wreath laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery, Trump’s MAGA “Victory Rally” at Capital One Arena in Washington, and a candlelight dinner.
Monday, Jan. 20 – Inauguration Day will start with a service at St. John’s church, followed by tea at the White House.
President Trump and Vice President-elect JD Vance are scheduled to be sworn in at noon, followed by the official farewell for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
President Trump will then head to the President’s Room near the Senate chamber, where it’s tradition to sign nominations.
Following the signing room ceremony, there’s a luncheon hosted by the Joint Congressional Committee on Inaugural Ceremonies. President Trump will then kick off the presidential parade, which goes from the Capitol down Pennsylvania Avenue to the White House, with a review of the troops.
After the parade and an Oval Office signing ceremony, President Trump and Melania Trump will attend three inaugural balls, the “Commander in Chief Ball,” the “Liberty Inaugural Ball” and the “Starlight Ball,” and he is expected to speak at all three, according to the press release.
Tuesday, Jan. 21 – Inaugural activities will conclude with the National Prayer Service on Tuesday morning.

If someone is taking birth control pills and they are sexually active, then, in a manner of speaking, they are having abortions on a routine basis. The birth control pill stops the fertilized egg from adhering to the ovarian wall which is an abortion.

I do my best to align our family dollars toward places that echo our, ‘Life is sacred,’ stance. I am of an age that I know MANY women who faced unplanned pregnancies in their teens/early 20s (I am early 60s). Roe v Wade had been decided just before I started high school and Planned Parenthood was coming into the schools, telling young girls that they could get birth control and/or abortions without their parents’ knowledge or consent. Ultrasounds did not exist and we were told that there was nothing there but a “clump of cells” for the first half of the pregnancy at least!
I knew women who had shotgun weddings, women who gave children up for adoption, women who became single mothers…and I knew many women who had abortions. They tended to fall into TWO main categories – they either regretted it almost immediately and were plagued with guilt and remorse, some for decades, OR they felt absolutely justified and defended their decision to anyone who dared to question them, truly believing that it was THEIR body and THEIR right to do what they did.
By the grace of God, I did not have to face that decision, even though I was young and dumb at that time (’nuff said) but I wonder if I might have panicked and made the wrong “choice…so I try very hard to be gracious to anyone who had an abortion and then regretted it, especially in a time when there was not as much technology available.
However, I have to admit that I do not have the same level of patience and grace with women who refuse to acknowledge things we now know – there is a discernable heartbeat at 6-7 weeks, most of the organs are fully formed by 8-10 weeks, the baby feels pain, etc.
I do not know if Melania Trump ever had an abortion, and it is not any of my business, but I have to say that I was both surprised and disappointed by her statements in the book, which I did read. She could have said that it’s a personal decision and that she falls more into the “pro-Choice” camp and left it at that, but she went out of her way to say that she is actually a staunch advocate and doesn’t believe there should be any limitations. (That was how I interpreted what she wrote, which, again, I found very disappointing.)
So we’ve found out she’s not perfect. Are we really so surprised? Yes I’m disappointed but I’ll live.
By the way I was one of those young women who found myself in a family way before the wedding. So we just moved it up a little. But I had already made up my mind that I would not have an abortion ever.

I saw a video clip of Melania saying exactly that quote from the book. It breaks my heart because she hardly ever talks publicly, and when she did, it was about “my body, my choice,” the battle cry of baby killers. I’m sorry, I felt sick to my stomach.

Melania needs to realize that God will forgive her if she repents and turns away from the behavior they have condoned for so long. Abortion is man’s construct not God’s. Jesus will wash her pure as snow.

My coworker gave me Melania’s book for Christmas. I read it and was surprised by it. Both positive and negative. I had no idea she had done so much to update and renovate rooms in the White House which hadn’t been done in decades. Also, the rebuilding of the pavilian which I don’t ever recall hearing about. I got a lot tired hearing about her “Be Best” program. It sounded rather trite to me.
I came away thinking she was a very intelligent woman who was immersed in the fashion industry from youth where a lot of her values eminated. Yes, her Mother was a very strong positive influence but the fashion industry is a rather vapid self absorbed community. She is very driven by appearance and looks – there’s good and bad to that. I didn’t come away from it thinking she was too full of herself though.
She does have a strong sense of self and self determination. I was thinking she had grown up in a “communist” country but really Slovenia was on the fringe and she has a strong Euro basis which is where her outlook comes from I think. Her life was more upper middle class with many European type vacations.
I guess I lost a bit of my luster with her. Still love her as our First Lady.
Melania was in architecture school when she made a change. She did not finish school, realizing that she had more of a future in fashion and modeling.

We can appreciate the fact that she was treated horribly during the President’s first term, and that she has MANY admirable qualities, AND is exceptionally beautiful, whilst still bemoaning the fact that she appears to be ignoring both the science, AND the teaching of the Catholic Church, of which she claims to be a member, in her position on abortion!

The real issue is the safety and security of President Trump and family. I for one am very worried and I am praying for their safety. I wish it was held in a secret secure location and streamed.

Agreed. Melania and Barron, too, have suffered enough during the first Presidency. The way they were treated by MSM was despicable. She is a mother, a wife, a stepmother and now she will be FLOTUS again. I wish her and her family all the best.

I also love this woman. She is obviously more confident and poised than she was 4 years ago. She is extraordinary blessing in Donald’s life. I have been praying for both Donald and Melania daily-for their safety and their deeper conversion to God’s holy will. Please join me in praying for them both-along with this incredible transition team.

Meanwhile, Juan O Savin (107-17) is discussing the potential for an “event” that could negatively impact Pdjt and his cabinet and appointees present at the DC swearing in suggesting a safer alternative might be appropriate considering recent events…. In other words, different venue for the swearing in. Fewer MAGA targets for bad actors. Sounds reasonable to me….
