That CDC seminar slideshow is the Glen Nowak Strategy… I saved a pdf but can’t locate it on the net so I can share – my 2 most recent bookmarks are scrubbed.

The take-away line from that entire media propaganda presentation states:

“Health literacy is problematic.”

They don’t have a counter-strategy for people who are literate/knowledgable in creating optimal, robust health; they do not take flu shots in response to propaganda.

A very knowledgeable homeopath I know and I were discussing vitamin C one time. He relayed that according to studies humans are one of the animals whose bodies don’t create vitamin C due to alterations of the GLO gene in humans. (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC3145266/)

A number of animals create large amounts of vitamin C. Don’t remember the exact number, but the comparable number for humans would be in the 10s of thousands of mg. Oral dosages above about 2,000 mg can cause stomach pain, diarrhea, headaches, and other symptoms (hence the use of IV). The homeopath I know consumes 5,000 mg daily.

Not a lot of the latter 2, but some. Mainly Bromelain – highest in the stem (this was discussed last weekend? Sometime in the last 10 days).

Correct – endogenous (internally produced) Vit. C is why most animals can eat road kill with no ill effects and Humans cannot.

It does matter very much *what form* we take it in however. Some forms are less bio-available and cannot get into the cells to be used efficiently, so a lot gets ‘expelled’ (diarrhea, etc)… which is not efficient – what’s expelled is wasted unused. 2000/2gm is a very low amount to be causing ‘upset’/expulsion – that form is not efficiently used.

IV and Liposomal Encapsulated forms are readily taken into the cells and used fully – the half-life is very short (hours); the body uses it all up efficiently.
Dr. Levy & Dr. Saul both explain very well how VC works in the body – making it easy to understand.

The darkest-color fruits/veggies are highest in content, BUT… they really have to be organic and non-GMO now to actually contain the supposed/claimed amount of all nutrients. Nutrients in foods come from the soil, so it has to be there to get into the fruits of the plants, trees, bushes, vines.
Listing foods ‘nutritional content’ in a generic (USDA) way isn’t accurate, imo.

Hybridized foods grown in depleted soil, bathed below and above ground in synthetic/petrochem fertilizers and pesticides *cannot be* as nutritious as Heirloom varieties grown in healthy/live soil without the petrochem impositions.
One can taste the difference – tomatoes are a good example, but it applies to everything.

I’ve stepped up my juicing since we talked about it on an open thread recently, because I have noticed myself giving in to temptation more often than is good for me.

Just a note – the 2K number comes from Mayo and likely a lower boundary level of single dose ingestion. Regardless, spreading out intake over the course of the day (4x) is better.

Your 1st listed source I wouldn’t use. They use soy lecithin and they don’t specify the source of their C or even if it is non-GMO.

Your 2nd source would be usable, but the palm oil inclusion isn’t my favorite.

I would suggest Core Med Science as a source.

Another way to enhsnce bioavailability, that is get the substance (in this case vit. C, is with DMSO.

Most substances find our skin and cell walls to be a fairly effective barrier.

However, DMSO goes right in as if there is no barrier.

Whats more, any substance with a molecular weight of under 1000 moles can be carrued along with it.

Another aspect of using I.V. Vit. C; all living organisms have certain parameters for conditions under which they can live or tolerate, under which they will thrive, and under which they can’t; temperature, humidity or moisture, alkalinity or acidity, exposure to light, etc.
For instance, HIV is killed instantly with exposure to light, which is why transmission is limited to intimate contact.

Before aspirin and tylenol, they used to cover people with blankets, have a fire in the fireplace, and have someone sit to watch them, to make sure they did not throw/kick off their blankets.

The fever gets high enough, and 90% of the infections humans get that cause fever, die at around 105.

Hence in Westerns etc. where uncharacteristically Hollywierd actually depicts it right; once the fever breaks the patient will recover.

Cancer cells prefer a slightly acidic envirment, a ph of 7.1-7.4, IIRC.

Expose them repeatedly to an environment that is either much more acidic (use Vit. C) or much more acidic (use sodium bicarb, a.k .a baking soda) and the cancer cell dies.

They are also slightly anaerobic, i.e. don’t really care for oxygen, so food grade or “pure” hydrogen peroxide, mixed with DMSO, might just do the trick as well.
