President Trump cannot appeal the case until the judge concludes the matter on J10, Dutch. After that it will be tossed at some point by a federal court.
This is the legal aspect that is necessary. Since they won’t dismiss–do your sentencing, judge. Then, initiate the appeal and hopefully the appellate court will find the case so meritless, unwarranted, and an egregious use of lawfare that all people involved on the prosecution and the judge are censured and disbarred.

c. unelected “officials” should not have immunity at all. These are inferior officers. There are really only a few types of officers who have the same protections as superior officers, such as congressional members, AG, directors, etc. And like judges, even these superior officer should not have complete immunity…for precisely the same rational reasons that SCOTUS has ruled recently about conduct of a President: is it official or not?

How long is this gag order in effect? In perpetuity? I would think that after this sentencing is handed down the case is essentially over. That being the case, Trump can let loose the dogs of war on Merchan.

I am a crimial defense attorney. I have read through the comments. Most of you are missing the one thing. Trump’s legal team needs to get the United State’s Supreme Court to have the sentencing adjourned post 1/20/25. After that all bets are off and Merchan is powerless. Talking about what to do post-sentencing is meaningless. Of course appeals will be taken and motions will be filed. But the damage will be done. Trump’s legal team had ample notice this all will unfold this way. I cannot imagine he does not have a legal plan to defer the sentencing. If the S.Ct. punts – well things become nettlesome. The Dems will seek to vacate the election results which will not work, but they will try to give Trump a black eye going into 1/20. The black hats have far more sinister plans to derail Trump…but dehumanizing him was always their favorite plan.

Me: The above statement mkes no sense. Maximum damage is inflicted on Trump with a sentence pre-January 20.
Merchan is aware of this and wants maximum pain and impact.

Agreed. Those are Turley’s assessment, and the one I disagree with is exactly that Jan 10 sentencing is not tolerable – even though nobody cares what Merchan says.

It would be inappropriate for Roberts to comment, as there is always the possibility that if the state courts didn’t reverse this, then Trump could pursue a habeas corpus petition in the federal courts, saying the trial violated his Fourteenth Amendment due process rights (the statute of limitations issue).
Like I have been saying–Yes Trump won…However until the 20th is over and done with no shenanigans and/or violence by the Globalists I just don’t think I can get comfortable. This order by the NY judge is probably just the start and/or just the tip of the iceberg.
There is no safety (or completely “comfortable”) this side of the grave.
About ten years at CTH, and I’m completely comfortable with never again being entirely comfortable.
