It’s strange; it’s just strange. According to the Washington Post (Bezos) and New York Post (Murdoch), President Trump’s incoming chief of staff, Susie Wiles is reminding all of the Trump nominees not to post anything on social media.

According to information relayed by a ‘source’ inside the transition team, this warning is not connected to the recent blowup controversy over immigration and H1B visas. So why the reminder?
As reported, the warning from Wiles does not apply to the DOGE team, Ramaswamy and/or Elon Musk, or to any of the Czars (David Sacks) and appointees who do not need Senate confirmation. The warning only applies to those who are going through the confirmation process. But again, the timing… why?
The nominees Wiles notes in her admonishment, have not been posting on social media. So, what triggered the reminder that says, “no member of the incoming administration or Transition speaks for the United States or the President-elect himself.” It’s odd. The only issue that has erupted where that concern would be applicable are the issues around immigration and H1B visas. Yet the source on the transition team says Wiles was not speaking about that issue.
I consider myself a person with attune Spidey senses. Pretending just doesn’t work for me. When the principal officer says, “no member of the incoming administration or transition speaks for POTUS”, and then an anonymous transition person quickly says Wiles is not talking about team DOGE, my suspicions are that Wiles’s reminder was triggered specifically because of the dangerous controversy, and the anonymous transition team member is obfuscating the reason behind the warning.
In essence, I suspect the warning really is about what the Occam’s Razor indicates it would be about. As always, I could be wrong; but I’d be willing to wager on this one.

The one cabinet nominee I’ve been squeamish about that has frequently spoken out of school about his conversations with President Trump, is Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. On several occasions, he has spoken – even bragged – about his conversations with PDJT, and some of his actions immediately following the announcement of his addition to the cabinet have been less than wise, much less low-profile (case in point: the advertisement by his wife for her shower products while RFK Jr. showers in the background – very tacky).
So the admonishment by Susie Wiles reminded me of when my mom used to warn all of us kids that if one of us screwed up, we’d ALL get spanked.

Tech employees are a different breed. Smart, systematic but also too emotional. The emotional side is that of young children. Children who never got in trouble, disciplined nor had consequences.
And lets not forget the creation of DOGE is not a PAID position. They are not hired by the Trump Administration or the People. DOGE is a brilliant idea and Trump basically appointed them to run with it. Kind of like, let’s see how it goes. H-1B is a runner giving us an inkling into the intent of those who chose themselves as the appointees.

It doesn’t take into account some of the better points of the establishment of the Fed, like each Fed region being able to set its own interest rates, a valuable power to combat market problems, or recession factors in differing parts of the US.

Well neither have been in the US for an entire generation, lest have the roots and experience of decades of generations to really know and experience a culture. If an anthropologist has to be in the field for 2 years to have a rudimentary understanding of a culture for study and to ensure seeing all of the cycles of that particular culture, then it would logically follow that for a political representative to know a country enough to be its representative (let alone the highest representative of the citizenry – a president), the representative should come from a cultural context and understanding of the country’s cycles that draws on generations of experience. It is integral to true “representation.”

i am reading the book the “Once and Future King” who in my thinking is President Trump. It is an interesting tale with Merlin and all kind of hobgoblins involved, but I am very far from reaching the end of the book. But so far, I am very much enjoying the story.

For a year I have watched my very smart and well educated husband get countless interviews to not get a job. Thousands of applications and about a hundred interviews for the past year….. As someone in the HR/recruiting space I know exactly what is happening as I have seen it up close in my own job…. Companies MUST advertise and do (some) interviewing before moving to hire a (considerably) cheaper H1B…I have also noticed he does just fine up until the interviews with Arjun or Darshan.
Take from that what you will. But this H1B Visa thing hits our country VERY VERY deeply. I wish more people would realize that. It is both cultural and economic and ANTI American at its very core. When I saw the postings from both Elon and Vivek it infuriated me. I am even more disappointed that we have heard nothing from our MAGA leader on this…other than reTruthing an Elon post.

I’ve worked in IT for 30 years. The H1B visa system is convoluted and corrupt, yet there is a shortage of willing IT programmers for contract jobs. The market drives IT hourly rates and barring some Deep State initiated black swan event, the economy is going to grow, rates will go up, and there will be a lack of people who know how to code. If you want to make $100/hr and jobs are being offered at $75/hr you either take it or pass, but don’t say there’s no work.
On the personal experience level, my company did IT integration where we had a project team and often hired a programmer du jour dependent upon what software skills and languages were needed for the particular project. We tried hiring several H1B visa programmers where virtually all were from India. They’d sign a contract on Friday to start on Monday and then on Monday they didn’t show up. We’d call them and they’d say that they took another job making $5 more an hour. The concept of integrity or business ethics of signing a contract was foreign to them, In fact, in their culture, this was seen as a win for them that they got one over on you. So, the H1B program is a mess, many of the people are not reliable (you get what you pay for) and it needs serious reform but on the massive scale of critical issues facing our country, this does not make the top 100 problems to deal with.
