Below is a quick and heavily edited overview of the DC Circuit Court.
Note the court was established Congress in 1983 … with the BS reason to relieve issues with using 4th Cicuit Courts of the VA and Md Circuits for DC cases as well as the BS reason to remove any bias favoring VA and Md. Hard to believe the current situation was not envisioned … a biased court used by Congress to weaken the Executive Branch of the Government.
If the Republican Congress wanted to fix the situation, the DC Circuit can be dissolved by Congress and the 4th Circuit can resume control over the DC Centric Government Cases.

DC should not exist as a “city”. All of its residential and commercial districts should be returned to Maryland, with the only remaining residents being the Presudent and VP, maybe some embassies. Congress should no longer oversee DC, except for its Federal buildings, parks, cemeteries, etc.
Dissolution is the only remedy. The corruption in both the district courts and the circuit court of appeals cannot be remedied by impeachment due to the two-thirds vote requirement in the Senate. Attach a dissolution amendment and zero out their funding. Without courts, the judges are no longer part of the judiciary. Although there may be one or two good ones, they can be reappointed. The others must go.
I think part of it was carved out of Virginia. Some of the DC leftists who bleed taxpayers all day commute back to Northern VA and vote blue, ruining a once-beautiful state as do those nasty Californicators who move to red states.

I therefore propose a very simple solution: “eliminate(!) the ‘DC Judicial Circuit’ entirely.”
“The District of Columbia” was an entirely-artificial Constitutional construction intended to create a “neutral” center of national government. But it was never necessary to then assign this construction its own “Circuit.” It should have then been obvious, to one and to all, that such a thing would immediately simply become “a weapon of politics.” Which is precisely what did happen.
Therefore – eliminate the District, entirely. Any future cases can then be decided, round-robin, by the Districts of the States from which “DC” was originally carved.
Agree. In a sane world there would not be a DC court, as you advocate. But even in a semi sane world, it should be the weakest of all Federal District Courts.
When you consider the depth, breadth, geography and population covered by the other Circuits, DC should be at the very bottom of the list.
Why and how it got to be so powerful is a real mystery.
One thing that might help is moving agencies out of DC. If the FBI was physically housed in a state, then a solid argue can be made that the presiding court over matters relating to the FBI would begin in the District where it resides.
Like most things, they don’t do what I suggest, but it would be very constructive for the new AG and the new FBI Director to start an investigation of two things that go to the heart of the corrupt DC circuit. (and a bonus #3 and #4)
We all need to get to the bottom of how those warrants, grand juries, and various rulings came about, the level of coordination between DOJ/FBI/Judges to set up kangaroo courts, and start hacking away at the collaboration between law enforcement and judges to railroad defendants.
Do not forget the woman who works in the DC court system who conveniently assigned all of Trump related issues to the same corrupt judges over, and over, and over again.
It’s “random” how these cases get assigned to the same corrupt judges. That’s the story they tell, anyway.

One of President Trump’s most important action was announcing the replacement (firing) of DOJ Antitrust Lawfare Chief Jonathan Kanter who was actually the Lawfare hatchetman for Microsoft attacking it’s competition, Apple Computer, Google, Facebook and Amazon with Antitrust lawsuits. I highly recommend everyone do the same. I have always thought Mark Steyn is a treasure for freedom-loving people everywhere.
It just struck me like a bolt of lightning. There is more than one way to skin a cat and also more than one way to IMPEACH a FEDERAL JUDGE. The President can state publicly that he’s giving a preemptive FULL Pardon to every person coming before certain judges who have made Political decisions instead of impartial decisions of guilt or innocence. These judges which number at least 6 would be castrated or spaded and rendered impotent. The Congress which is fatally poisoned by partisan politics is thus bypassed.
President Trump can’t fire the DC federal judges but he can abolish the DC District Court! Which would have the same effect!

I like it. In law enforcement there is what is known as a “Giglio”letter. An officer is impeached as a credible witness in advance and the sitting government attorney will not use their testimony in any case before the court.

A further update to my previous post. President Trump could name the judges he doesn’t want to handle political charged cases up front, then whatever random method judges are assigned (if you believe judges are assigned randomly your an idiot) the judicial branch would need to modify to exclude political judges presiding over political cases. The President decides which judges are to be excluded because he has the plenary power of pardon which our founding fathers gave to counteract a corrupt judiciary.

The Washington DC District Court isn’t in the Constitution so a Republican Congress can abolish the DC District Court entirely. Federal judges are appointed for life but without a court in DC they would be rendered useless and even better HARMLESS!

How does anyone justify that a pool of 12 people from DC can be construed to be a “jury of your peers”?
A good place to start, the only place to start, is to go after the DC BAR. That’s the regulating body of all things lawyer. I’m confident there is a good RICO case among a dozen other charges that can be brought upon them. The conduct of the DC lawyers and the judges is horrifying and un-American. If that body was honorable it would be eliminating the ability of these corrupted prosecutors and judges to make a living in law.
California BAR is a quasi state agency that has sat by and watched maybe consulted in the removal of rights by lawyers and judges.

Punitive damages are usually excluded from Umbrella/Personal liability policies so the corrupt/biased DC court/jury made sure Mr. Steyn had to pay damages out of pocket. Double whammy!

Here is how to deal with the corrupt DC courts. Start investigating them for corruption. The investigation itself compromises their ability to be fair. Also, Congress can change their jurisdiction. To be honest, DC shouldn’t have its own court system.
Federal judges can be impeached and have been several times in the recent past. It takes 67 votes in the Senate, but it can be done.

When the authorities decide who they want to prosecute and then go looking for a crime it is clearly a perversion of justice.
All defendants should be allowed to shift the venue to their home county.
I think the geographic jurisdiction of the District Court for the District of Columbia needs to be enlarged. The reason is because the D.D.C. serves in essence a single county which has a peculiar interest, thus ensuring a biased jury pool. Experience has shown this to be true. There should be multiple courthouses to serve the expanded geographic area.
One way around the court system is to use pardons. Pardon someone and Congress can force them to testify as to their crimes. They won’t go to prison, but they can be fired, an have the public watch four years of testimony of the corruption in government.
Abolish the corrupt DC Court System with its carefully curated Communist judges and functionaries, make the Feds prosecute their victims in their own states and districts, put the pain of the process on the other foot, let the jackbooted thugs be overwhelmed with the vastness of our land and we’d see their appetite for mendacious mischief and wanton cruelty abate.

If anyone deludes thamselves that the American Courts, or any courts have ever actually dispenced Justice, they ARE deliusional, and have never had any actual experience WITH the Court system.
Victims of wrongdoing can rarely if ever truly be made whole; no amount of imprisoning those who have persecuted and prodecuted the J6 prisoners, can give them back whats been taken from them.
Nor can any amount of $, make up for the years they did NOT spend with their growing children, etc.
Those who have hardened their hearts, and insist their continued support of PDJT is contingent on him prosecuting all of the wrongdoers, are already lost.
