(I took a screen shot, and will try to find it for you). My daughter used the instructions to set up the Postimages. I still struggle with it all the time – very frustrating. Today it won’t let me use it at all. Keeps giving me a message that the site is “suspected for potential phishing.” When I tried to use it anyway- it won’t let me.
I’m going to look for the instructions Woo sent me, but, at the moment, I have no way to post it. Do my best. 😊

My husband got home from work before me, walked into the house and began sorting mail on the kitchen counter. 2 men (sorry my thumb hit 3 before) were sitting in the living room, got up and came toward him. He pulled his firearm, told them in his horrendous Spanish not to move, and retrieved a shotgun from the bedroom. He had called Border Patrol and the sheriff by the time I arrived. The men were saying that more were out on our property, but they were not found.
They had come through our doggie door. One of our dogs was outside barking his head off and 2 others were in the house with them.
They were drinking our beer and had eaten the birthday cupcakes I had baked: this, after ripping off 2 kitchen cabinet doors rather than simply opening them.
Those two actually spent some time in the Pima County jail. We’ve had many illegals come through our property. Some laugh at me when I instruct them to leave (with a gun on my hip), some are on their last legs (we give them water and call BP), some rip open our irrigation, some killed my little burro, Annabel. I will never forgive that. 😢
All are a threat to us……when I come home to an empty house, I carry a firearm in one hand and a key in the other. That is not how American citizens ought to live. I’m counting on Mr Trump to change it. 🙏

Well it’s not presidential politics, so I’ll just drop my thoughts here. This insurance CEO murder is pretty disturbing. Feels kinda “fight-club”-esque. I haven’t seen the video. I haven’t seen any evidence. But based on all I’ve heard, this was specifically targeted and most assuredly so if the markings on the shell casings are real.
Insurance companies are in business to make money and I’m against regulation in principle. And perhaps once enough regulation is removed, all medical care and insurance rates will drop. But for the moment, these insurance companies have paid a lot of money to lobbyists to get some pretty unjust laws in place which hurt the people who unfortunately need to collect on their claims.
I can only imagine this guy lost someone important because this insurance company (formerly headed by the victim). It’s a foolish move and changes nothing but if the truth is similar to what I imagine, then I certainly can understand it.
I hear the crime has caused a big ripple in the insurance business. (I could joke about the life insurance rates of Insurance CEOs going through the roof but I won’t… their policies would probably be cancelled anyway) I hope someone, or many someones, will think about that when they make decisions about insurance claims and the people who need them paid.
My wife had a female cancer a couple of years back… more than a couple actually. She was at stage 3 and they expected her to get to 4 before her treatment was completed. But she did things which apparently no one normally does and she beat that cancer completely. The most optimistic plan was to shrink the affected area down as much as they could, then remove a whole bunch of stuff from her… sorry, no need for the details right? Well, she did some specific dieting — something we are BOTH continuing to this day — and it, combined with the radiation and the low level chemo, actually ended that cancer without the need for surgery at all. I’ll never forget the looks on the two doctors’ faces when they saw it. My wife is “advanced” in age (as am I) so they had no idea what to say about it other than 30yr olds with the same situation never get results this good and most actually pass away.
But the costs? Multiple hundreds of thousands of dollars for all that we went through. While I’m sure there’s skill and knowledge involved — most of that paid skill came from doctors who did little more than look at information and order things to happen. The technicians following those orders were not particularly skilled or even caring. They actually seemed to HATE us. So I’m not sure why such things cost as much as they do… but I have my suspicions.
I once tried to explain that insurance companies WANT the prices of things to go up. If they are taking, say, 20% of what they are paying out, then a rise in the costs benefits them. And of course higher consumer costs are completely unaffordable which makes insurance absolutely necessary. Medical technology is just about the only technology gets more expensive at time passes while almost ALL others get cheaper, smaller, faster and more effective. That’s rigging.
It’s gotta be fixed. This murder was the wrong move. It won’t change anything for the guy who did it. But maybe if it encourages these companies to pay out as they should…? The loss of life, even his… this CEO’s is awful. But I’ll pretend to be an insurance company and any of their employees … and I’ll pretend not to care.

Well she gets all the credit for doing the research and most of the execution. I’ll take credit for forcing her to make the choice to LIVE. (She’s from Japan and her experience with cancer is that both of her parents died miserably from the treatments… they are a government run healthcare system and “everyone gets the same treatment” which isn’t at all appropriate for a condition like cancer)
I told her that if she wants to choose the path of no treatment, that she will have to help our son understand. She couldn’t do it and thus accepted treatment. I further explained that the Canadian system is like Japan’s (though not as bad) and that Canadians who want to live travel to the US for treatments as to others from around the world. That helped.
But what did she do? She did research in how to make her body “hostile” to cancer to help starve it out. Something about adjusting the PH levels and of course cleaning up the diet quite considerably. While in general we dropped consuming nearly all processed foods and processed ingredients, the main part was juicing.
We have gone through several brands of slow masticating juicers — they have a LOT of torque and tend to break themselves. We started with Hurom (which is nice) but they broke a lot… we used it a lot. Every day… several times a day from time to time. I think what we have now is a NAMA? Not sure.
The ingredients are simple: Carrots and Apples and a bit of lemon juice.
The balance of carrots and apples give us what the body needs and the lemon juice is to make it taste good…. it’s pretty “ihh” without it and the Vitamin C doesn’t hurt.
Our son, who is now 18 and still growing taller, is now in charge of making the juice for both my wife and for me every morning. It’s just part of our day and it’s never a bother. And that’s the trick — you have to integrate it into your day. You can’t ever “make room for it” it has to be part of the day just like exercise.
And at the time of her treatment, exercise really wasn’t part of it. But eventually it did become part of our almost daily activities.
What happened is when we changed our diet, things just started getting better. And then we add new things here and there to see if we can integrate them into our lives.
Aside from her cancer, we have been completely disease free. Now that I’m thinking about what else was going on, C19 was a raging fire and the way I brought her to treatments was annoying…. so more than a couple of years for sure. The main struggle now is keeping carrots and apples in stock! 🙂 Usually not much of a problem but occasionally…
I’ll add that we didn’t get “the shots” either. Just about the only thing we can trust and control is our use of natural things… it’s why I think the “diet” isn’t so much about what we eat, but more about what we stopped eating. Now the PH levels thing was important for her. But since we “did it together” the whole way, I did it all too… except for the chemo… they wouldn’t let me. (I didn’t exactly offer either…)
Now I have even MORE reason to distrust the medical industry and REALLY hopeful as to how RFKjr can make some meaningful changes.

Well, we used to try to do composting with it. But it became more work than I was interested in at the time. Now we just toss it.
It never occurred to me to make something with it. Have you heard of this being done?
what is the benefit to the masticating juicer (not sure what that is) versus just eating the apples and carrots?
I know you didn’t ask me, but I’ll give you my thoughts –
A masticating juicer’s mechanism is nearly identical to my old-time cast iron meat grinder –
it has a corkscrew-shaped internal mill that turns and moves the food through, which is crushed (chewed/masticated) to pulp… the juice falls through a fine screen into a cup and the pulp is pushed through & out the end of the machine
(the same way a steak going in would come out of the end of a meat grinder as ground meat)
My centrifugal juicer has a basket with fine-mesh walls & a shredder inside and the fruit/veg is pushed into the shredder & basket that spins at high speed… everything is shredded to a fine pulp then pressed by centrifugal force to the sides of the basket, the juice falls through the fine-screen basket into a trough, and pours out a spout into a cup. The pulp remains inside the basket- though some machines expel the pulp also into another receptacle.
One would/could not probably eat 20 apples in one day, but one could easily drink the juice of 20 apples in one day – if 4-5 apples made one cup of juice (approximate, depending on size/type) one could ingest the nutritional value of 20 apples ( or carrots, celery, kale leaves, etc.). Most of the nutrients are in the juice, not the fiber.
I also put most things including citrus – lemons, limes, grapefruit – peel & all, through the juicer so I get the essential oils from the peels in my juice. More nutrients reside in the skins of most fruits & veg’s. One should remove seeds from apples before juicing – there are very few rules & dont’s, most things are fair game depending on your preferences.
One of my most – OK my absolute – favorite juice is watermelon; there is very little pulp left from a whole melon (I do take the thin outer green layer off but leave the white), and an abundant amount of densely nutritious & *Heavenly* tasting juice.
Dr. Wahls protocol that I linked is a good reference for how much & the types of foods & for which nutrients are needed to reverse chronic diseases – for what makes Humans healthy. Juicing allows one to comfortably ingest many times more nutrients than is possible to eat in whole-food form – though her protocol does not require juicing (I don’t think, I haven’t reviewed it lately).
I did some research into qualities & features of different machines & chose heavy duty & multi-function…
prices vary from under $100 to several hundred, depending…
get the best quality you can afford – mine are Omega (masticating) & Olympic (centrifugal) –
both have lasted & worked problem-free for many years.
FWIW both assemble & disassemble easily; I find the Omega easier to clean.

It just goes to show how little they actually know about Human health.
It’s so good you both have stayed the course.
You would have to eat 7 to 8 regular sized carrots and 2 to 3 apples every single morning. Consider the amount of time that takes. The process of cutting and prepping is now negligible because we’ve gotten really good at it. and the current juicer NAMA, is exceedingly reliable and affordable. The output is easily consumable and isn’t even a satisfying meal by itself which allows us to enjoy something more normal on top of that.
If I simply ate all of that stuff, it would be a monotonous and tiring drag which makes the experience more negative and thus increases the likelihood we wouldn’t continue it.
But under this model, we get a system that works and remains positive and satisfactory.
As for why a slow masticating juicer? I’ve heard this keeps the raw vegetables fresher. And I can tell you that as it rises to room temperature it “goes bad” much faster. A faster juicer will not yield the best results and is just a “food processor/mixer” at that point.
Also something I didn’t mention. On occasion, when I feel like I need to “reset” myself (bad experiences, feeling or even just stress, I will do juicing instead of meals for about a week. “Man on a mission” mentality. And once I’ve completed it, I feel a LOT more healthy and a lot stronger and better in every way.
I’m not going to try to separate or isolate the psychology and the nutrition from the results to see which aspects are the most important. The purpose is the results and analyzing it will not help me improve it and will probably serve to hurt even the over-all results because if I found it was purely psychological, it immediately loses effectiveness.

I have heavy-duty juicers, one masticating & one centrifugal – I admit I never used the pulp to make recipes… it seemed like one more thing on my already too-full list of jobs when the kids were home & we juiced every day.

I just spoke with my friend at the epicenter ( though it might have been under ocean? ) and they say all is ok and it was quite a shock. They seemed nonplussed except for the tsunami warnings. 7.0 is huge. Yes. I was in SoCal too but had a relative in San Jose. Said you couldn’t stand up on the sidewalk and the windows were bulging in and out.

You did everything you could to assure a positive outcome, but it didn’t turn out the way you wanted or expected. We’ve all been there. It tests our faith. Maybe you accept the outcome or maybe you’re frustrated. God wants to help you put the situation into perspective and remember that he is always in control of every situation—even those you so desperately want to control.
Dear Lord, It feels like everything is out of control in my life right now. I know good things are happening too but the stress is overshadowing them. I wanted a better answer, things to change, but my hopes are dashed. Many people try to comfort me by saying that you’re in control, but it doesn’t bring me comfort. It seems condescending.
Lord, I want to understand and discern the plans you have for me. Father, restore my faith as I trust that you’re omniscient and I’m not. Envelope me with your peaceful balm to soothe my questioning mind. Remind me that you hold the whole world in your hands and all things work for good to those who believe in you. I do believe! Amen

Lord, you know how irrational I can become when I’m anxious. I can’t reign in my thoughts. Instead of expecting the best, I worry and wonder. I fret. My stomach churns, my heart races, and I can’t take my mind off the issue. I know you don’t want me living in a constant state of turmoil. It’s not good for my physical or mental health. It makes people around me miserable and keeps me living in a perpetual state of chaos instead of calmness, which I crave.
Father, you tell me in your Word to cast all my anxiety on you and so I’m doing that in this prayer. I lay at your feet the things I’m struggling with and I implore you Lord to free my mind of concerns. Remind me please to take deep breaths and trust that you can make a way even when the path is not visible to me. Father, please lead me to refreshing Scriptures when I feel anxiety approaching. Holy Spirit fill me with the serene peace and joy of the Lord. Amen

I read on The Gateway Pundit that the Senator from my state, Iowa, is leading the charge to derail Pete Hegseth. Article speculates she wants the Secretary of Defense job. Left her a phone message about spending too much time with the ultimate RINO Mitch. Also, Iowa’s all in on Trump and she could easily lose her Senate job next election. Her staff will probably trash the message as usual.
