Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name. Thy kingdom come. THY WILL BE DONE, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
For Thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory, forever and ever. Amen †

Perfection…
He spoke it into being! I have to remind myself how great a God we serve. Much, much, much larger and greater than any of my “challenges”. Unfathomable.
Mornin’ annie
Haven’t made it to Oregon – but, your wonderful pics bring me there! ❤️
Thanks for faithfully posting these fine devotions.
Thanks for your thanks (it’s hard work).
When Mary recognized Jesus she called Him Rabboni, which means My Rabbi. As the devotional states any doubt, confusion, and sorrow disappeared.
“After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi from the east came to Jerusalem and asked, “Where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him.”” – Matthew 2:1-2
“Christmas Spirit”
😌
🙂
A wonderful musical way to start my day… thanks, Garrison
You’re welcome, friend benzy . . . 🙂
Good Morning, Garrison 😘 Your musical well is deep. How wonderful for us that it never runs dry 😌 ☕
Our first December Cursday
There may be some with post Thanksgiving “hangover” 😎
Nice walks should help with that 😉
Chilling with a good book..
Mornin’ Bets
Yes! Always happy when there is a doggo or 4 in the mix! Having said that, we usually have ours plus g-doggies for Christmas and Thanksgiving (sometimes our great g-doggie too). It can get a bit chaotic, but therapy dogs are there to listen! 😁
I’m aiming to be a guest just like that, Corny 😎👍🏻
💕
Hubba hubba 💕
I’m tired now
Quite right, too!! 😊
Only those of a certain age will remember…
Good morning, Bet! The picture of the Irish wolfhounds reminded me that I have an Irish cap hiding somewhere. May come handy in the next few days. Looks like time for the fireplace to get going for a few nights. ❤️😍
Morning, my brother 💕 Chris used to have one (I love them!), but has opted for his Indiana Jones felt one which has stood the test of time. Nature can’t seem to settle here temp wise…only now are the leaves decide ing their time is over, but for the most part we’re still more green than not. I expect one morning I shall awaken and find every branch on every tree (except the oaks) bare…
Bets,
If you drop the 13 and add a 90 to that PowerBall ticket – that is us!
Ugh, girl…
Mornin’ Gramps 🙂
I have a collection of traditional Irish wool “flat caps” that I acquired about a decade ago. Now that the weather is suitably cold, I wear one everyday.
Here is the company I usually buy from. They are located in the US but import directly from Ireland. No longer cheap but the real thing:
Celtic Clothing dot com.
Love that you do this!
🙂
I bought mine from the gift shop at Newgrange, Ireland.
A few more words about traditional Irish flat caps.
Here is a more direct link to the Celtic Clothing collection of authentic Irish wool “flat caps”.
https://celticclothing.com/product-category/men/irish-flat-caps-hats/
These caps generally come in two designs. You can order one with a snap brim or you can order one with a brim that is stitched to the cap material. I strongly recommend that you purchase a cap with the material stitched to the brim. Caps made in this way just look a lot better, IMHO.
Perhaps my facial features (I’m Scots-Irish) “fit” my cap choices but when I start wearing these rather distinctive caps, –
people often stop and comment on my choices of headwear . . . (Yes, this
is sort of flattering, but I rather think my old-guy features somehow make me look “Irish enough” that I I belong with a flat cap.) I’ve had some interesting sidewalk discussions on cultural heritage as a result of wearing my flat caps.
Good evening, Garrison. It’s such a small world here in our branches. Here you are talking about your Irish flat caps and your Scots-Irish heritage.
My daughters just took a trip to Ireland in September to see one of the countries of our heritage. They brought me the most beautiful sweater from the Aran Sweater Market of the Aran Islands, Ireland. It came with a registered certificate of authenticy.
I’m going to wear it tonight when I’m out with the dogs. It is due to drop into the teens here in Mississippi.
Your sweater really needs a nice tweed flat cap. 🙂
Hey there, Betsy. You are on a roll today. Good to see you here today for more than a drive-by.
As with you, it’s been busier here than our normal, especially with hosting Thanksgiving last week. This week has been eye appointments for my husband, Monday, Tuesday and today. His macular degeneration decided to flip from dry to wet in one eye. He got the first injection today. He did very well.
So, now, on to Friday and the weekend. It’s supposed to rain, yay. It has to warm up to do that. Its going to drop into the teens here tonight. Even so, it is a beautiful night with a bright crescent moon.
Blessings and prayers to you, Chris and family.
Admitted! 🤣
Morning, EE 💕 Yep…
Morning Bets 💕 So many good ones you posted today, where does one begin! 🙃
💕 😁
And I posted them all without coffee!!!! 😂☕
Even more impressive!
I need a trophy 😁
DONE! 🏆 💕
Nipper!
Ahem, I only know of him from listening to my grandparents – 😁
Francis Barraud painted this iconic gem 3 years after Nipper died, and named it, “His Master’s Voice.” Nipper had belonged to his brother originally, and Barraud loved watching the little dog as he listened to the phonograph.
Ahem indeed! 🤣
Oops, saw this and posted it —too.
Perhaps one of us here wlll remember…
when the rest of us forget. 😄
A Jack Russell of course, like our Penny. But she tilted her head just like that…golly, I surely do miss her…💔
Bets
“Frazier” was always one of my favorite sitcoms. I just thought the writing and characters were so well done. Still watch reruns occasionally – that little Jack Russell, Eddie was so smart and funny, and I think a big part of that show’s appeal.
Nipper?
Great minds, Patience. Great minds!
Yes. So you remembered more than I did…the photo is iconic, but I didn’t know his name.
His Master’s voice!
Precisely 😊👍🏻
-“Francis Barraud painted this iconic gem 3 years after Nipper died, and named it, “His Master’s Voice.”

They are such curious little dogs, Patience. Full of life and energy. 😍
Back in my younger days Betsy, I was able to outlast in hours, a Jack Russell Terrier tossing and returning a tennis ball! I too was full of life and energy 🙂
I Love that pic and the Nipper dog as RCA’s logo and catchphrase brings back fond memories. I was able to raid their library for a lot of Elvis and mid seventies country stuff.
But never heard a “Nipper Dog” story before! I feel like asking “is this true”? lol. but I trust you 🙂
Oh yes. It was well known to us ’50s kids, and they even made ceramic statues of the dog which fetch a good buck nowadays….

Peanuts Gang : Christmas Song “Linus & Lucy”
Thank you, Cactus 😘 The older I get the more my anticipation of seeing this childhood favourite matches the excitement I felt looking forward to it at Christmas when I was young…it’s the small things in memory that bring the most joy 💕🌲
That’s the ringtone I set for my granddaughter! 😊😊
Wifey, kids and I watched every Peanuts special feature cartoon (Christmas, Halloween, etc.) that came out while our kids were still living at home. We all watched them (repeats) even when the kids were teenagers! Tradition!
Most people don’t realize how many Peanuts “Charlie Brown” cartoon specials were created and aired on broadcast TV back in the latter 2oth century….
Wikipedia has the list….
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peanuts_animated_specials
Cactus, This tickled me – watching the “gang” rock out!
Here’s a fav of mine – it never gets old …
Too bad that sort of innocence is long gone, Della this was the best part of that glorious sweet show 😌🙏🏻🌲
I agree – this part is so sweet!
And, love when Linus quotes the angel, (“Fear not”), he drops his security blanket …
God’s Word does give us strength and courage!
I sent this to my son to show his kiddos.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful to reclaim the culture’s interest in good, wholesome things instead of junk!
🥰🙏🏻
That is so beautiful I remember this. Life was carefree. Thanks MissDella.B !!
Mornin’ dear Bet. Next to my “inner red-neck” there resides an “inner Snoopy” . . . There’s plenty of room in
there so no worries . . . 🙂
Slept late this morning. About 9:45 there was a familiar “thump” — Little ‘Tink got cold and so sought a warm spot with me. Nice kitty.
Hahahahahaha!!!!! I’ve felt that thump many times, and sometimes even felt the warm body trying to find an opening under the sheets and blanket to crawl down to the bottom of the bed for extra warmth. The trick was for us to hold very still and tuck our toes away from the murder claws 😎
I’m starting to worry about our three ferals which appeared suddenly and which I feed. It’s getting colder. One has found the couch in the garage and goes under. The other two (related I’m sure because they get along) don’t seem to have discovered it yet. The one that goes under is very docile while one of the other two doesn’t like him and makes those guttural sounds at him. So far no response.
Some progress with the one who looks as if he dressed for some black tie event and comes to sit with his spatted front paws tightly together. When I out out food he comes up to me and feeds. I talk to him and so want to reach down to pet him, but he’s not there yet…patience, Bet, all in good time. Prayers have been offered to St Francis that he might whisper in their ears that they have stumbled onto a very good thing and someday will become little Tinks 🙏🏻💕
Yes, Bets
Moving toes under the sheets is just asking for trouble!
Wow, you’ve made a lot of progress with your little tuxedo kitty. Good going! I bet they learn how to cooperate with one another and you’ll eventually find them cuddling together. 😻
Good morning, patty 💕 May I add to yours? 🌲
Morning Betsy… great pics and music 👏👏👍😘
🇺🇸💪😀👍
Good morning, Jim. Bumper week 😘🌲☕
Gorgeous addition, Betsy!
I love it so much…such a happy French carol 🌲💕
Great selections Patty..👏👏👍..

Thanks, Jim So much good Christmas music! Love it all!

CLASSIC!
05 December
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
(1756-1791)
A musical child prodigy, skilled at both the piano and violin in 18th century Salzburg, Mozart and his older sister Nannerl, also a pianist performed throughout Europe.
Mozart started composing at the age of 4 or 5, finished his first symphony at age 8, and his first opera at 11. In total, he composed over 600 works, including 53 symphonies, dozens of masses and liturgical works, and over 20 operas and lyric theater pieces.
Vienna became his home for the last ten years of his productive, yet short, life.
05 December
Alexandre Dumas
(1802-1870)
One of the most widely read French authors, with perhaps his two most famous novels being “The Count of Monte Cristo” and “The Three Musketeers”. These novels and others have been adapted into countless films over the years.
Dumas’ father was a Haitian-born French general who was the son of a French nobleman and a slave from Haiti which was then a French colony.
Dumas himself was married four times and may have had as many as forty mistresses.
05 December
Claude Monet
(1840-1926)
was a French painter who is often credited as one of the founders of Impressionism, a revolutionary art movement that sought to capture the transient effects of light and color in the natural world. His innovative approach to painting, characterized by his loose brushwork and emphasis on light and atmosphere, profoundly influenced the direction of modern art.
Monet’s interest in capturing the changing effects of light and weather is perhaps most famously demonstrated in his series of paintings such as “Haystacks” and “Water Lilies.” These series depict the same scene at different times of day or seasons, showcasing the transformative power of natural light. His “Impression, Sunrise” (1872) was particularly influential; its unconventional style and the critical reaction to it led to the naming of the Impressionist movement.
Monet’s later work was marked by a focus on his garden at Giverny, where he created a beautiful landscape filled with colorful flowers and a water lily pond. He painted this setting obsessively, resulting in a large series of works that capture the garden’s beauty in varying light and weather conditions.
Monet was also a central figure in the artistic community. His home at Giverny became a hub for younger artists, and he was friends with many prominent artists of the time, including Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Édouard Manet, and Camille Pissarro.
05 December
Joseph Erlanger
(1874-1965)
was awarded the 1944 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his contributions to the field of neuroscience. Along with his colleague Herbert Gasser, Erlanger conducted research using a cathode-ray oscilloscope to analyze the electrical reactions of nerve fibers.
05 December
Robert Watson-Watt
(1892-1973)
A pioneer in radar and radio direction finding, Watson-Watt’s research let to the development in the 1920s of the huff-duff direction finder.
The military potential of this invention was exploited during World War II, where it helped prevent U-boat attacks.
In the late 1930s Watson-Watt led the development of the radar early warning system that was vital to British victory in the Battle of Britain.
05 December
Nelson Mandela
(1918-2013)
Often referred to as the father of the nation by South Africans, Nelson Mandela was an anti-apartheid activist and politician who served 27 years in prison.
After being freed in 1990 he became the President of the African National Congress (1991-97) before being elected the first black President of his country in a fully multiracial election in 1994.
For his activism, he received over 250 honors, including the 1993 Nobel Peace Prize, the US Presidential Medal of Freedom and the Soviet Order of Lenin.
05 December
Bob Dole
(1923-2021)
Was the US Senate Republican leader between 1985 and 1996.
In 1996 he was selected as the Republican candidate for President, losing to Bill Clinton, dies of lung cancer at 98
A great Man. A couple of coincidences.
I am typing about 15 miles from where he was born and educated.
My first career was as a radio operator in the Merchant Navy where I operated Radio, Radar and Direction finder equipment., most of which were due to him.
Little did I then know who close I came to him -metaphorically
My favorite- Monet. Maybe American Patriot will show up with some of his fabulous pictures.
Monet painted many dozen’s of water lilies paintings over many years… there are 8 mural sized displayed in surround in the L’Orangerie in Paris (8 that I remember seeing)… scroll down here + 2nd link, also in this segment, with more specifics
{ https://thetourguy.com/travel-blog/france/paris/musee-de-lorangerie/famous-paintings-to-see-at-musee-de-lorangerie/ }
“… The crown jewels of this museum are without question { Monet’s Water Lilies. }
The museum displays the paintings ingeniously. Two large oval-shaped galleries are the permanent home of eight panels of painting. Each panel is 6.5-feet high and nearly 400-feet long and are without a doubt the top art to see at Musée de l’Orangerie.
…”
Thanks, Amara. I’ll be going to your links with a glass of wine!
There is much speculation surrounding Monet’s vision. Cataracts vs macula degeneration. Worked in ophthalmology for 25 years – I’m going with cataracts!
This bit is from the 2nd link above:
“… Monet made the above painting, The Japanese Bridge, around 1923. When you compare it to the previous one from 1899, you realize something is terribly amiss. What happened is that Monet developed cataracts and was diagnosed in 1912…”
Wow MMW you are on a roll today! Mozart, Monet and Dumas. I actually knew of all three! Classics all, I wish I’d seen this stuff earlier 🙂 But here it is thanks!
Thanks, I find it interesting as so many of the greats all seem to choose the same day to pass on. Coincidence? I doubt it.
I believe I am finally back to the spot where I started filling out these notable people notices completely, so it gets easier on me to mainly just add the newly departed & browse for additional fills.
This one was only edited for formatting, either you missed it last year or you had not found the Treehouse yet.
Thanks for all those colorful additions that you add about the Laurel Canyon crews … what a childhood you had.
Here is one Utube recommended that I found interesting & probably happened in the canyon “log cabin”.
Traveling Wilbury’s Documentary
Come ‘n rock me Amadeus……
ha I was reminded of that too. Not any actual Mozart, from the top of my head lol
Must be generational
In addition to the recognition of his virtuosic musical genius! Mozart would have loved that crazy movie they made about him a couple decades ago with that guy Tom(?) something or other, with the ridiculous giggle. That movie was hilarious.

Good morning treepers 🙂
Another day on another thread the question was put to me
Why don’t you click around?
Every honest question deserves an honest answer.
Everything I read is with a magnifying glass.
Macular degeneration was fought by me and a great Dr. with shots in the eyes for almost 2 years
I love to read so continue to do so with a magnifying glass.
My history is… retired from a major airline, so well traveled.
started 2 successful business each lasting about 20 years.
Enjoy the common sense companionship with my treeper friends.
Thank you for asking 🙂
So what you have just described is in essence exactly what Abraham experienced. He was the son of a “high priest” under the kingship of Nimrod, where idol worship and child sacrifice were glorified, all to the smell of sperm being burned as incense. In short as UN-GODLY as humanly possible. The main aim was to “build” a “tower” to heaven, thereby proving themselves equal to the One God, and then to “shoot arrows” at him until only they are left. Sounds familiar doesn’t it? Anyway, from all of this darkness, Abraham was able to pull himself away until he stood alone “on the other side” being now convinced of the existence of the real ONE true Creator, the MAKER of all of existence and beyond – an impossibility for for mere flesh and bone man. His “common sense” if you will, allowed him to sense the existence of a presence that was communicating with him, and the more he learned to recognize, the clearer the “voice” became. The rest is written down for all of to learn from – if he and many like him through the generations have had the same courage, then any one of us is in no way different or INcapable.
God has his arms around me at all times. Around us all if we let him into our hearts.
Also, what I learned from all my travel “PEOPLE MAKE THE PLACE”
Trees are trees every where. grass is grass and mountains are mountains, but people make the place what it is.
Like here at the treehouse , great common sense, people that believe in our God given freedom.
huggs 🙂
Thank you for blessing us today with your comments. Your words are a balm to the soul, that give a certain peacefulness and hope. So much appreciated in this crazy world. God Bless You and Keep You!
Thank you it is a group hug for sure

Flash mob Brazil
Hey Garrison, are videos supposed to be showing up here, and in the next two of your posts? If yes, I don’t see either a video or a link to… I love flash mobs, so please add! Thanks!

Flash mob Brazil
I’m SO disappointed. I keep looking at all of these “flash mob” vidoes… but everyone keeps their clothes on! They just don’t understand how to flash properly.
Neil Oliver’s video ~ ‘They’re sticking it to us’
Watched this video, (thank you for posting), then added a comment underneath that, depending upon the husband’s criminal record and whether or not they are located in the US, may help. I hope so, especially because the SWEEPING pardon, given by criminal Joe Biden, to his criminal son, is SO offensive, on so many levels. I anticipate the upcoming list of pardons from criminal Joe Biden will be even more sweeping and offensive. Trump turned the other cheek during his first term, I sincerely hope he acts this time around, because it is in the best interest of our country’s overall future wellbeing, for him to do so.
Why Trump hates Trudeau.
Oh justeen truedope you will learn from the Master son.
Trump’s offer to make Canada the 51st US state, 🤣
The lawless Biden regime is not satisfied with the White House occupant’s pardon of his ne’er do well son Hunter and is looking to give even more of the political class’s worst characters a complete pass on their crimes.
“Those who could face exposure include such members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and former GOP Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming. Trump has previously said Cheney “should go to Jail along with the rest of the Unselect Committee!”
Also mentioned by Biden’s aides for a pardon is Anthony Fauci, the former head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who became a lightning rod for criticism from the right during the Covid-19 pandemic.”
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2024/12/loathsome-biden-regime-reportedly-considering-preemptive-pardons-several/
Ah, but will these sweeping, preemptive pardons be lawful, when issued by a president who got there by fraud and/or used the office of the president to attempt to destroy our country (treason), and/or used it to launder money into Ukraine for the Biden crime family’s already unlawfully, accumulated wealth, (more fraud), and more… The foregoing aside, if you think about it, how sad that these individuals cannot accumulate wealth other than by stealing from others, and Neal is also right when he said that in spite of their money, none of them are happy.
Good morning all.
The wind is howling here at my Indiana home. Thankfully not much precipitation but what we had changed from rain, to sleet, to snow. If it had been a soaker and then went to below freezing with a strong windchill as it is now, it would be the most dangerous type of winter weather one can have to deal with. I hope anyone that are having these kinds of conditions have their animals sheltered.
Having lived and operated outside in all kinds of conditions I can tell you this kind of weather is more dangerous than just snow and subzero weather. Hypothermia is the real killer in these conditions. The winter I arrived at 10th Group at Ft. Devens an SF soldier died. The whole team got hypothermic and became separated. The fatality was found in a creek. He had apparently tried to cross the stream on by using an ice covered fallen tree as a bridge. He fell and his rucksack strap caught on a branch hanging him with his body submerged to the waist in the fast flowing water. When they found him his whole upper body and head of covered in ice from the spray freezing.
Now military rucksacks have quick releases on the shoulder straps but the guy was apparently in stage III hypothermia and his cognitive function and physical coordination were already severely impaired.
Mornin’ all!
Mornin’ WeeWeed!
Good morn’n back atcha!
Of course the “aid” isn’t aid the way it’s supposed to be. The “aid” normally arrive in the form of pay-offs to the current “chiefs” AKA the corrupted – often in large suitcases. Regrettably this form of bribery has been used for centuries in the “3rd world”. It started with a chest of beads and some shiny mirrors in return for access to whatever. Nothing has changed – the people still see jack squat, and any left over floating around merely feeds the lower echelon enforcers. Sadly, and very possibly because it appears endemic at all levels of the society, it is now a way of life – one cannot do business or interact smoothly without the obligatory bribe.

Greetings Treepers! 🙏✝️🙏
I don’t usually check back but I will today.
Background n question:
We chose to homeschool our 3 children and now homeschool an adopted 17 yr old. I’m 65. Own 2 businesses, a few properties. I’m a tad irritated paying school taxes. I’ve started doing more grocery shopping over the last 2 years and have noticed people looking like they are making serious decisions while shopping for basic foodstuffs…I hurt for them and it PISSES ME OFF!
Do you think people over a certain age should have school taxes confiscated from them? 🙏✝️🙏
Loaded question Frank. I never thought it was fair to have property owners footing the bill for our public school systems, while non property owners effectively got a free ride. I have had kids in public school, I have home schooled, and private schooled. Then there is the woke crazy that went on over the past several years, where parents (property owners) and parents in general, were arrested and more for trying to have a say in what was being taught to our kids. So, my simple answer is no, I don’t think it is fair, but I also don’t think it can be fairly solved unless the rest of the foregoing is addressed, and I am sure there are other considerations I have left out, including footing the bill for the mass, illegal migration, for which we are also footing the bill for those kids, and SO much more, while our own citizens who legitimately need help are ignored, and in particular out veterans!
Renters ( non property owners ) really do pay property taxes through their rent payments EE.
Residental property owners who rent have the rent payment calculated to include fixed, know expenses like property taxes, repairs and upkeep and mortage payments as well as unexpected expenses ( unexpectd repairs).
The property owners pay the taxes with the rent money paid to them by renters.
Most all expenses are paid by renters, many of them do not know this.
You’re right. It still seems a loaded question, even if a less so than my response to Frank, worded the way it was, seemed. Those after a certain age, those on legitimately fixed incomes, and property owners (including renters) should not be footing the bill for illegal children, while we have legals who legitimately need help (the recent hurricane victims living in tents while illegals are living in NY luxury hotels come to mind), and so many of our veterans, homeless and otherwise. Thanks ColoradoChloe for pointing that out to me.
Mornin’ EE
The kids from our rural enclave are bussed about 25 miles away to a suburban bedroom community. We actually pay more than 50% of our property tax to the school district. (Weve lived here 35 years and have never had children in the system.)
Every year this district lobbies for budget overrides. One year, they held 4 elections, at taxpayer expense, till they got their desired result. And…….the reason it passed the last time, they sent their election materials to rental homes promising the override wouldn’t cost them a dime!
Lastly, we have almost no county services where we live: no garbage pick up, no local police, no city water, no sewer, and our fire protection is 20 miles away – yet we pay at the same rates as those who do enjoy those services. It’s our choice to live here, and I wouldn’t change that, but, Yes – how about some fairness in tax assessment, or, as some of you have suggested, a limit to the years of socialist school district taxing?
AZ! I have been sort of on the outs the last week or so. Hopped in to read David’s Israel reports and see some pics…Were those 2 donkeys posted yesterday or the day before yours? ♥️Such a great picture! I also posted something to you about the hummingbirds, don’t know if you saw it (about a week or so ago).
Oh yes, EE. Those are my big sweethearts! My grandson calls them the “Big white girls” and our dogs the “big black girls”, though I suspect he might have to attend reeducation if he said that to the wrong person!
I’m very sorry to have missed the hummingbird post. Perhaps you can repost sometime. ❤️
Please give ALL hugs from me!!! Re the hummingbirds, you had expressed concern about something, or wanted to know why they were doing something, and I researched and found several places you could call and ask. I don’t know if I can find the post again, but I’ll try. what’s worse is that I just tried to repeat the search and whatever I put in last time, did not bring the same info up this time. Ugh!!!
I just found one of them, Paton Center for Hummingbirds in Tucson. You probably know about them already, but they might know the answer to your question(s), or know who you can call to find out.
Thanks so much EE for your efforts. I did not know of the Paton Center for Hummingbirds, but will definitely check it out. There Is an Audubon Center in Tucson, and also a large walk in live hummingbird exhibit at the Desert Museum in Tucson. You can sit there while they buzz all around you – pretty cool! ❤️
If you’re not getting police, 20 mile away fire protection, sewer, water etc., that’s an additional can of worms, and what I meant by other considerations I hadn’t thought of. Like I said, loaded question.
👍
Morning Frank,
Liberal-Uniparty “Democracy” is a criminal conspiracy against all Western Christian nations that have them, installed by the Bankers who own their debt and thus control them.
I read a book about “Shay’s Rebellion” and the debt accrued by the then fledgling American government in suppressing it, wanted to be paid off by many State Rep’s but banker agent Alexander Hamilton wanted to “Recycle the debt” which meant that the banks would have a foothold to influence & control our government. Hamilton also used bribes to get enough state rep’s to ditch our first Constitution “The Articles Of Confederation” which gave State’s greater powers with a weaker Federal Government, to adopt our current “Constitution” (which they ignore, according to James Trafficant America declared bankruptcy under Roosevelt and the Bank lenders own us fully) which has a stronger Federal Government and weaker State Governments.
Centralized power is a cornerstone of Marxism.
Those who hold our debt, own America. Every western christian nation is bankrupt. Rhodesia was a debt free Christian Republic before its was destroyed. The last one.
To clarify,
America belongs to We The People and We are the rightful owners of the National dividend{equity/cash}.
The owners of the national debt own just that, the debt.
Elementary economics, debt and equity.
Remember,
In God We Trust,
all others pay cash.
Trust God. Fear not.
P.S.
They {Federal Reserve Bank} literally poked the wrong Bear {Stearns}.
Trust God. Fear not.
👍
Good morning, Frank –
Absolutely not. I never had kids in the school system. I am over 65 and on a fixed income. That being said, when I was outside around noon this past October 31 and saw the buses letting the kids off, that was it. Half day for halloween? My feeling for many years is that if you never had kids in the system, or – it has been many years since your kids were in school, fixed income, a few other scenarios, then you should be exempt from paying school taxes. Also, here where I live in upstate NY (not that far upstate) – the school buses sometimes stop at every single house – I’m talking about on roads where houses are 30′ or less from each other!
Thank you for bringing this up Frank.
End of Rant.
God bless you and your family and may He lavish His grace on this 17 year old.
👊
Blessed morning and day to Treeper Pals,
Frank, our libertarian candidate for Governor had a plan to limit property taxes to seven years. Was the fairest thing I have heard in a long while and something that would surely make a positive impact on everyone. If you kept your home, your property taxes would end after seven years (sounds Biblical) and if you sold the property, the next owner would pay his/her seven years in turn.
I loved that idea. For that and other reasons, namely the corrupted Lt. Governor we have now, I voted for Trump and the Indiana Libertarian candidate. I am just SICK OF voting for the lesser of the evils. When the Braun campaign went after the libertarian candidate for a child support issue from over 20 years ago (likely NOT Mike doing this b.s. move, but his Lt. G. Micah)… I knew I had voted correctly.
Deep State runs well… “deep” in Indiana. I’m thinking to move. I just can’t see it getting better around here; Trump in the White House, or not. Tired of paying my taxes to them and I’m tired of indentured servitude serving criminals who make a game of keeping us in the poor house.
There should be a limit on property taxes. IMHO.
And while the topic is brought up, too, I might add that School Choice – isn’t free. Our portion was still over $10,000 per year out of pocket. It only covers a portion of tuition – and my kiddo started her fancy private Christian school prior to School Choice existing in Indiana.
The “key” is not to give everyone School Choice as that drum is currently beating – the “key” is to regain control over our public school and release it out of the nut job mob mentality’s hands. Our public schools belong to ALL OF US and we need them back doing what they should be doing… educating our children to lead productive lives… complete with common sense.
Half of Indiana’s State budget goes to the public education system. It is an utter WASTE of money.
Welcome to the free state of Florida JWOO!
EE… there’s no telling, friend. Florida in my mind is expensive and I can’t imagine the insurance industry there. Definitely cost prohibitive for folks like me.
👊
No, Frank, we do not.
Just reading Texas has the highest property taxes in the nation. Just so you know…
🤝
The answer is to become politically active in your local government and oppose the taxes where they are collected
🤝
Morning Treehouse,
I stumbled onto this fantastic pie company that makes terrific Cobblers. I had a Blackberry, was excellent. I figured I would share with you all. I believe Publix,Ingalls,Harris Teeter etc carry it.
Some Vanilla Ice Cream or Whipped Cream if you can afford the calories makes it even better.
Cheers

Great American Cobbler: Handcrafted Blueberry Cobbler and Cherry Cobbler Review
Looks delicious Colkitto!
Will give them a try.
It’s Ingles, went to a shareholders meeting at the Biltmore in Asheville a while back.
If one has the means to help with the Helene devastation, one could simply support Ingles Markets.
Trust God. Fear not.
Morning, Colkitto 💕 Who can afford the calories???? 🤔
But sometimes ya just gotta have a little treat, hang those nuisancy considerations 😌🌲
Hi dear Bet! Barring one of you wonderful baker’s scratch made Cobbler (my dear Grandma) this was a pretty good substitute. I also enjoyed reading their story. Where I used to live their would be farmstands and I even knew a couple of honor system ones that were off the beaten track, where you could purchase home made baked goods. After the Liberal totalitarians made ‘Laws’ that only approved Kitchens could make & sell most of them folded up or stopped selling. This I was told by more than one farm store. There was a little country store near where I went fishing up near PDJT’s NJ home, that had all of that and the most incredible Pot pies that I have ever had. German Immigrants had started it. Was legendary in that part of NJ. Best to you and let me know if you try them.
I remember when honor system stands like that existed, back when honor was the norm. Remember agreements by handshake? When someone’s word was all that was needed? That’s how I was raised, and I’d be willing to bet most of the Treepers on this thread were too! No wonder the s _ _ t we’ve been being dealt has caused us so much angst!
And left our doors unlocked!!
Someone’s word was his bond once upon a time. Another *sigh*
EXACTLY to both!
And, all the moms in the neighborhood watched out for each other’s kids. (Not Hillary’s Village, but genuine love and concern)
Oh, now you’re making me wistful for those simpler times, dear friend. I make an awesome apple pie, my mother in law’s recipe. Never have made a cobbler though they are similar. Note to self: get thee to a store for some apples and start baking.
Seriously, I know you miss though times, too. Memories are so precious. Looks as if we’ll have to make do with those…
*sigh*

This may be good food or it may not be, depending on your definition of “good” –
“Local” or, to quote that web article about this company, “… handcrafted using the highest quality products, including 100 percent American-grown fruit….” is open to interpretation…
doesn’t mean pesticide/synthetic fertilizer/GMO/glyphosate/toxin-free!
American agriculture allows/encourages/requires more toxins in farming & processing than any other country on Earth!
Read the ingredients lists – better yet, post them here… that’s how I decide what foods to accept or decline.
please listen to this interview about this topic… and the level of exposure & transparency that needs to come at last

Food companies spend trillions on science to ‘hack’ the Human brain chemically AND to make consumers believe what isn’t True to induce cravings/desire/brand-loyalty for their products that contain (cheap) unhealthy inclusions.
If it wasn’t in your great-grandmother’s cupboard because it didn’t exist yet… it’s not actually food.
“Better living through chemistry” ~ DuPont chemical co. 1935
I tend to only Trust what I make from scratch with single/specific ingredients so nothing harmful/questionable gets in –
I value my good health! (no, I do *not* eat out/in restaurants either).
Cooking is not hard; baking (cobbler+++) is even easier – ‘recipes’ are the instructions for success… organic & non-gmo ingredients are key.

“Bring a Constitutional gun to the Sente’s knife fight”
JD VANCE’S CONSTITUTIONAL ROLE… 🙂
[…Trump, however, doesn’t have to acquiesce to RINOs derailing his agenda. Why? Because (in addition to not having a re-election to eat away at his time) he has a not-so-secret weapon: JD Vance. Trump should tell Vance that his sole job for the next four years is to exercise his constitutional role as President of the Senate and preside over the body, something vice presidents regularly did until the 1950s. Article I, Section 3, Clause 4 of the Constitution says: “The Vice President of the United States shall be President of the Senate, but shall have no Vote, unless they be equally divided.”]…See more:

Now, the DOJ cover-up!
So, here’s the latest regarding Jack Smith.
The Justice Department just told the House Judiciary Committee about an investigation into him. It turns out they were looking into wrongdoing claims against Smith and his team. But the details are a bit unclear. The DOJ’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR) mentioned that the alleged misconduct happened in June 2023.
The investigation will last until 2029.

“For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.”
Galatians 3:26 (KJV)
Thank You, Jesus, for blessings received and prayers answered !!!
Good morning (??), sis 😘🌲 This past week or so has been busier than I expected it to be for one reason or another, so my stopping by has been woefully sporadic to non-existent. Our wonderful local station has been playing Christmas music nonstop, choral and orchestral, so we have the radio on from rising to sleeping.
I find myself in daily contemplation of all who are shouldering burdens this Advent season. So prayers are constant for a loving Father’s mercies and Christmas miracles for friends and others in desperate need of them. And in thankfulness that He knows who each is and where they are.
Blessings always, dear friend 💕🙏🏻
Thought I’d leave another Christmas work which I find so beautiful. Hope it leaves you feeling as Christmassy as it does me 🌲
OOOOOOH – HOW BEAUTIFUL !!! BOTH !!! ❤️🧚🏻♀️❤️
I’m such a sucker for pretty Christmas and winter photos 🌲😌
Oh Betsy, the snow heart pic!!!
Isn’t it lovely, EE??
Time to get in that Christmas spirit!! 🌲
So far I’ve pulled two pics from this thread, the first was the dump truck of laughing emojis (before I figured out how to do them here), and the second was the snow heart. SO lovely!!!
WE ARE FIGHTING A SPIRITUAL WAR OF GOOD VERSUS EVIL
PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I choose to stand on you, so that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding will guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus, the eternal Rock of Ages. I receive your holy peace now my Lord, from the sole of my feet to the crown of my head, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray the Shield of Faith into my hand now. As I take up the shield of faith, I ask that you might extinguish every dart and arrow that is launched from the enemy to take me down spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and every attempt of the enemy to destroy my joy. I ask that my faith in you would make it flame out. Extinguish every flaming arrow that would come against me, my life, my family, my home, or my ministry. May my faith always be out in front of me like a shield. Give me the courage to “faith my fears” by choosing to walk by faith and not by sight, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Helmet of Salvation, that you might protect my mind from the thoughts that can lead me astray. I choose to take every thought captive, and arrest all intentioned ideas and motives that would harm others, or distract me from your holy will for me. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
May the enemy and his team flee from me, upon hearing the word of God spoken by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit. Give me the sword of the spirit to cut through the wiles of the devil, so that I may discern the schemes of the enemy when he is near.
With all kinds of prayers, supplication, and intercession I pray to you my Lord God as the one who fights my battles. Now that I’m in your holy powerful armor, I walk away covered and ready to face my day as you go before me, and please protect me in the midst of the spiritual warfare in this unseen world, in my Lord Jesus name.
Thank you my Lord, for the spiritual weapons of armor and prayer that you have given me. It is written no weapon formed against me shall prosper, and you will refute every tongue that accuses me.
Thank you Father God, my Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit, that I am more than a conqueror in my Lord Jesus. I pray all of this in the mighty name of my Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ, Amen.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
Amen.
Ever wondered what Micha-el AKA Michael means?
The name Michael is commonly translated with “Who Is Like God”(El), but, more accurately, the name denotes an inquiry after the identity of God: Who’s God? or What’s God Like? As captain of the heavenly armies and expeller of satan, Michael’s main mission is perhaps to inspire humans into seeking the identity of God: (Seek and ye shall find. Click click…..)
Exodus 15:11
Who is like Thee among the gods, O Lord? Who is like Thee, majestic in holiness, awesome in praises, working wonders?
Psalm 35:10
All my bones will say, ‘Lord, who is like thee, who delivers the afflicted from him who is too strong for him and the afflicted and the needy from who robs him?’
🙂 just a bit of info I find interesting.

TALKING WITH JESUS
Good Morning, Dear Jesus – Oh, how I love You;
Have so much to tell You – don’t know what to do;
Where do I begin – wherefore do I start;
Please send Your Spirit – to dwell in my heart!
I thank You, Dear Jesus – for all You’ve done;
For the blessings received – and victories won;
For a roof over my head – and food in the fridge;
For kind, loving friends – for problems to bridge!
Thank You, Dear Jesus – coming to D’s aid;
For getting her home – her head down she laid;
For blessing today – as only You can do;
For all that You’ve done – I sincerely thank You!
Thank You, Dear Jesus – for Morning Prayer;
That came to us from – our demon slayer;
There’s no weapon formed against her this day;
That will deter her – or – get in her way!
She carries Your Spirit – where’er she goes;
Where she goes and preaches – nobody knows;
For her assignments come – directly from You;
Through obedience – she knows – just what to do!
What a blessing she is – I pray You’ve told her;
But, I think she knows – through all she must shoulder;
She questions not – a single Word from You;
Gets to doing – what You’ve asked her to do!
She doesn’t mind one bit – being used by You;
It excites her soul – body – and spirit – too;
Each one is welcome – no matter what his plight;
For souls she will witness – for souls she will fight!
The Gift of Your Love – she spreads all around;
Here, there, and everywhere – all around town;
Wherever she goes – You bless those she greets;
At churches and homes – You bless those she meets!
Her talents are many – Gifts of the Spirit;
Because she was willing – Your Word – to hear it;
To preach and to teach – all who are able;
All who are hungry – come to Your table!
Thank You, Dear Jesus – for blessings abound;
Today and every day – with Love – You astound;
So many are hurting – but – little by little –
Heaven and Earth pass – one jot or one tittle!
Shall no wise pass from the law – till all be fulfilled;
When it all comes to fruition – just as You willed;
When we are in Heaven – enjoying the treasures;
That we have stored up there – the fruits that He measures!
A ‘Happy Dance’ we’ll dance – for happy we’ll be;
In Heaven with You – for all eternity;
Until then, Dear Jesus – hold us tight and fast;
Till our work here is done – in Heaven at last!
