Ronald Rowe Jr., the acting director of the U.S. Secret Service, spoke at a congressional hearing today investigating the two assassination attempts of presidential candidate Donald Trump. After Representative Pat Fallon of Texas began questioning Rowe about his presence at a 2024 9/11 remembrance ceremony in New York, the two men engaged in a shouting match in which Rowe accused Fallon of using 9/11 for political purposes.
“You know why you were there? Because you want to be visible,” Fallon accused. “You are out of line, congressman,” Rowe responded. The shouting match devolved from there. WATCH:

The photo was blatant proof of another example of USSS not being next to the POTUS. Rowe knew it instantly and had to deflect by changing the subject…. Anyone who understood that knew right away that Rowe revealed his weakness by his tirade…

So, he cleverly found a way to pivot to, “I have served this country…Do not use 9-11…” and just about anything other than the truth. The Congress critter was prob spot-on about why Roe was at the 9-11 Memorial: Roe was there to be seen by those in power. He was there to insure that HE got the promotion –after Cheeto’s exit.

But it also has a high probability of being true in my humble opinion…
The issue was that Rowe removed the SS detail from where it should have been, near the president, in order to put himself in the photo. So, not really ad hominem.
I do not see a logical argument being made or countered. I see the important qualifications of character and integrity, which are critical to performing a good job as the head of Secret Service, being called into question. In other words, asking”Are you a POS?” is not an ad hominem if it is pertinent to the qualifications for holding the job.
I think it would be a good thing for you to go back a few days or a week, & look at some of the comments you were leaving about Peter Hegseth, who was being proposed as US Sec, of Defense, & the “allegations” that he was a drunk.
Allegations that you seemed to have found to be quite convincing, even though there was No Evidence, & felt it was OK for you to be attacking his ethics & morality, continuing the accusations/allegations he was a drunk, even when there has been ZERO proof that such allegations are true.

There seems to be an indication that he was not wearing an earpiece so would not have had radio coverage. I understand that members of the Secret Service were appalled at Rowe’s response, which actually was a complete deflection from the question asked.
This guy has no business being in the position he presently holds. He looks bleary eyed, alcoholic-y and tightly wound.
