South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol (People’s Party) declared martial law accusing the opposition party of engaging in “anti-state” activities in alignment with North Korea.
Hours later, the Democrat controlled parliament voted to lift the declaration, with National Assembly Speaker Woo Won Shik declaring that the martial law was “invalid” and that lawmakers “will protect democracy with the people.”
President Yoon, 63, has held South Korea’s top office since 2022, when he succeeded Moon Jae-in, from the left-wing Democratic Party. During President Trump’s first term, Moon Jae-in and North Korea’s Kim Jong-un formed a close political bond. Moon favors dialogue with North Korea, Yoon is a more hawkish outlook against the DPRK.
In a close election President Yoon won with the People’s Party after serving as prosecutor general of South Korea for two years before resigning amid disputes with the Moon Jae-in government.
Despite the South Korean parliament voting to invalidate the martial law declaration so far, the South Korean military appears to be supporting the position of the president.
South Korea – […] Police and military personnel were seen leaving the Assembly’s grounds after Woo called for their withdrawal. Lee Jae-myung, leader of the liberal Democratic Party, which holds the majority in the 300-seat parliament, said the party’s lawmakers will remain in the Assembly’s main hall until Yoon formally lifts his order.
Seemingly hundreds of protesters gathered in front of the Assembly, waving banners and calling for Yoon’s impeachment.
“Democratic Party lawmakers, including me and many others, will protect our country’s democracy and future and public safety, lives and properties, with our own lives,” Lee told a televised news conference.
The president’s surprising move harkened back to an era of authoritarian leaders that the country has not seen since the 1980s, and it was immediately denounced by the opposition and the leader of Yoon’s own conservative party.
Following Yoon’s announcement, South Korea’s military proclaimed that parliament and other political gatherings that could cause “social confusion” would be suspended, according to South Korea’s Yonhap news agency. (read more)
It’s a little bit of an odd dynamic and the South Korea -vs- North Korea relationship is complicated.
President Trump previously held the sentiment that South and North Korea could work out a unification process; in essence, from Trump’s perspective that would lessen the influence of China. However, with many people inside South Korea worried about what that would mean to their democracy, there is quite a disparity of opinion.
Better times. President Trump, Chairman Kim and President Moon.

Apparently both Koreas are ruled by Tyrants now.
I’m not so sure about that. I tend to think we would all be sympathetic to people trying to prevent their country from going hard left which is, by all appearances, the intention here.
One person, a legislator heading to the capitol, put out a video (social media) stating that this move is illegal and that the president is no longer the president. If you ask me, that sounds like a Democrat. According to all other information, this declaration is legal and would require a legislative vote to end the martial law condition. The response from the legislator stating “he is no longer the president” seems a bit presumptive if not full of rage.
Could be, the leftist legislators are the very people he seeks to do away with. How nice would it be if we could do that? And how awful it would be if we could do that! I think it’s very telling and curious that when the US gets involved in helping other countries setting up government, they never really model it after the US Constitution.
I stated above (actually below in the sequence) :
.
The left is a mind virus that just spreads among people who don’t respect others.
They expected Trump to act in this way. He didn’t. They are predicting Trump WILL act in this way. He won’t. But their predictions are likely PROJECTIONS of what they would do under the circumstances and therefore seems reasonable to expect from others. That’s the mind of the left.
S.Korea is a successful economic power with a high standard of living and a first world culture. It doesn’t seem likely to me that a leader of such a country would “become a dictator” without cause.
If the CIA was involved and trying to get the Korean war started again, I think it would make a LOT of sense.
Your take is much better than ConstantineXI’s. I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in South Korea in ’66 -’68 ,, and am married to a Korean , who has a large family in Korea.
The younger the population is the more ‘liberal’ (in the not-so-good sense) it is . Since I was there, Korea has, under the umbrella of the US protection, transformed itself from a country ravaged by very nasty Japanese colonialism capped with the Korean War to an extraordinarily modern and prosperous country. The younger the population is, the less they remember how bad things can be and the more they take their present blessed circumstances for granted . One might think that their brutal North Korean neighbor would serve as a stern reminder of their precarious situation, but it does not seem to work that way. For one thing, most families still remember that some portion of their relatives live in the North although generally they know little or nothing about them as far as specifics go. Many long for reunification, but abhor the cost they saw Germany experience, so they don’t want that. The younger liberal population want very much to improve relation with North Korea and seem to think it is possible. Personally, I think it would be far easier to domesticate a herd of very hungry hyenas.
PS: if one wants to understand how Korea became a colony of Japan, watch the Netflix TV series “Mr. Sunshine.” It is is long and not exactly a documentary, but it dramatized the process extraordinarily well.
Have seen a few K-dramas on the period. One had an interesting take where an American doctor had set up a hospital to teach Korean students western medicine, while the Japanese had set up a rival hospital across town. The American was getting flack for teaching students not from the noble class but they portrayed the King / Queen as supporting the effort.
Another interesting one is Seoul 1945 by KBS which I think is sort of like our PBS. Unlike suggested by the title it actually covers from about the mid-20s through the Korean War. A lot of it covers the political goings on during the colonial period and after WWII with the various factions (one based in China, one in the US, and one Russian-influenced). That and the interplay with the US Army after the war.
I think it’s also interesting, as a much larger observation, is that every famous communist leader/philosopher hated their parents, especially their fathers. And of course any of that class which became famous was also very rich.
Then look at all of the college kids whose parents send them off to university, get indoctrinated to hate their parents and voila, a clone of Che’ Guevara!
This stuff is somewhat natural but also encouraged and even created.
Its the family Daniel. Broken families raise broken children.
Our country faces the same issues.
The multipronged attack on the traditional family, excessive & unconstitutional taxes is one of them. If one reads “Who Killed The Men Of England” one can see how unconstitutional Affirmative Action,DEI,Diversity Orwellian “laws” implemented illegal open borders & immigration are designed to kill off the founding population just like the Saxons did the native indigenous Celtic males. Their DNA was wiped off.
Harvard Magazine, “Who Killed the Men of England,” July-August 2009:
https://www.harvardmagazine.com/2009/07/who-killed-the-men-england
The wipeout of the Celts around 1000AD mirrored what happened in the 16-17th centuries when the Tudor aristocracy was replaced by the wealthy (Italy) Venetians who arrived in London during that era and took over the economy.
That periodic replacement of the natives is the part of British history you never read about, because it’s ongoing today. It can be reversed, if the political and military will exists in leadership and the native population. Stalin proved that premise in the 1940s.
“The Liberal urge to ‘save’ humanity is a false front to control, enslave, genocide humanity”
So they put a compassionate face & words for what they are really doing, genocide of western peoples. The Saxon Laws installed disenfranchised the Celtic males, so the Celtic females married the Saxon males who had the lands, trades, wealth, better marriage prospects. The cultural marxist “enemy within” are not doing these illegal laws for compassion but genocide.
The left loves humanity, they just cannot stand humans.
In general it can be stated that since women are XX and they contribute only X chromosomes to their progeny, their DNA and its inherent characteristics is more conservative in nature. This being the case it would the Celtic genotype and phenotype that would tend to be conserved and predominate under your scenario. Only culturally would the nature of society change because of who holds the reins of influence and power but that has always been the case in any society where one group imposes its values on another.
Yes it happened here.
I’d suppose that what their future looks like, as far as the young people hoping for a reunification, it would seem as though how possible this is depends upon Kim’s daughter- who I understand will rule the country next. Those young liberals will be there to see this daughter in control..
It’s very interesting stuff..
I would not bet heavily on the upper echelons of North Korea acquiescing to a woman being the head of the country.
Actually quite laughable. As you know, the Koreans are, and remain, quite misogynistic.
I’ve been there many times.
If we’ve learned anything politically, it’s that communists are unbelievably terrible.
While whatever you say sounds logical, the Koreans have to be left to their own devices. You can disagree or not understand why they want peace with North Korea but it is their problem and theirs alone
The US public should have learnt by now that no matter how well meaning they may be, they should not interfere in the politics of other countries.. this has cost millions of innocent lives and incredible pain and misery almost every where you “tried to help”
Thank you for your knowledgeable comment.
Guessing since the 60’s Korea has experienced alot like we have; Seoul is essentially its own country compared to the rest of Korea.
“…………..their predictions are likely PROJECTIONS of what they would do under the circumstances and therefore seems reasonable to expect from others. That’s the mind of the left.”
If we would add to your statement that the left does not care if what they would do is harmful to others or not, and you have a perfect description of the left.
Term limits: 1
Jail term for breaking laws in office: 2
Both equal making one: Reluctant!
Peace ✌️
I’ve long thought that lobbying was enemy #3, after the Unfederal reserve with no reserves being #1, and the Council On Foreign Relations managed media run by the IC via “Op Mockingbird” was #2.
My dad used to say anyone who wants to president should never have the job but we should a good example and drag him to the White House kicking and screaming.
Think President George Washington.
“But their predictions are likely PROJECTIONS of what they would do under the circumstances and therefore seems reasonable to expect from others. That’s the mind of the left.”
That is exactly what this admin. HAS been working toward, according to their actions against their Citizens.
Don’t knock martial law. Abraham Lincoln was a tyrant who imposed flagrantly illegal conditions under an unconstitutional martial law and we’re meant to see him as a great hero.
Martial law under President Trump for specific enumerated emergencies and with a hard limit of the period of his final administration would, if he wasn’t so soft where it mattered, allow the full restoration of the Republic and the physical removal of most of the undesirables.
The physical removal should begin at Capitol Hill.
The civil war was a chance for the US to correct some mistakes that the Founding fathers made. The FF chose a strong Federal system with weak states but they also debated creating a weak Federal system and strong states.
We will probably get the chance to choose again unless Trump decreases the power of the Federal government by at least 80%.
Well the Constitution says orherwise: the States aren’t strong or weak – they’re sovereign. They give up a little of that sovereignty to the united States (in plurality,) but that is it. Lincoln, of course disdained this. So he had to murder a million people in order to destroy something that was pretty unique in its promotion of freedom. Now we have this behemoth of an empire run by the Wasingtonians, and we can all thank the tyrant Lincoln more than anyone for that.
👍 for only your first sentence.
Yes! However, we were heading to a divided country when he took office. I think he did what he did out of necessity.
Agree … without the Civil War we would not have the United States.
There is no part of the US founding documents that forbids a state from breaking out of the Federal covenant. Read Tom Lorenzo’s book on Lincoln.
We, the people, are sovereign. We chose to withdraw some of the power we gave to the state and transfer it to the general government.
During the religious revival known as the Second Great Awakening in the early 1800s (which gave birth to Methodist and Baptist churches as indigenous Christian in the US) the idea of American “exceptionalism” took hold — that the government form and Constitution was a unique gift from God as an example to all nations.
That’s why the otherwise abstract notion of “Union” was such a motivating force inducing mass enlistment in the north. Tampering with the “Union” was seen as denying God’s will.
Lincoln, if anything, was more pragmatic than an ideologue. He had the problem of carrying on war to its conclusion within available resources.
In the south people were manipulated by the deep state, known then as the “slave power”.
Not true. The 1787 constitution created a stronger central government as compared to the articles of confederation, but it was unrecognizably weak, and the states the sovereign entities, as compared to today. The founders wouldn’t believe the tyrannical federal government we have today.
Martial law under Trump? I still think the democrats have the time/will and gall to try the same thing here prior to 01/20/2025, led by the Obama/Harris duo.
Maybe the civil war part?
Agree … is South Korea the Deep State “test” ??
Been using the term “state of emergency” here on CTH which I believe PDJT could call out to take surgical strikes at a minimum of 3 (3 letter) agencies. All roads lead to Langley.
Martial law is much harsher to chew on by We the People. Personally prefer it to state of emergency phraseology,,, BUT I believe this terminology allows PDJT to make surgical cuts vs. the Hitler narrative the news/Dem’s/Uniparty will throw on him if he does declare Martial Law. JMHO 🙏🏽❤️
He got killed off before he could pull off his Liberia Project. Which was a big reason why.
“Martial law under President Trump… would… allow the full restoration of the Republic and the physical removal of most of the undesirables.”
Has anyone noticed that both sides have been influenced toward approval of increasing authoritarian measures to address “urgent threats” ?
The left: Plandemic, systemic identity class oppression, climate canards.
The right: The excessive moves of the left per above.
Now, a President coming into office with manufactured plandemic, economic, cultural, and war threats looming, and both left and right primed to accept authoritarian measures.
Major war directly involving the US would “solve” multiple obstacles to a totalitarian “utopia”, including the sovereign debt and the Bill of Rights. Very convenient for an oligarchy.
The longer-view tinfoil hatters may see a long-term plan in execution here, spanning multiple Presidencies, tracing back through the pivotal event which started the Surveillance State leading to a Police State:
ae911truth.org
One might say “be careful what you wish for”, but it seems to be too late to say this, and few MAGA seem to be aware of where things are heading.
Be careful. Information is sketchy and the truth is unknown. Remember always, the media will always demonize those that are not leftists.

Meanwhile, pray . . .
pray for the people of South Korea to withstand efforts by outsiders to break them down and turn them into another Ukraine . . .
pray for the people of North Korea to withstand efforts by outsiders to break them down and turn them into another Ukraine . . .
pray for their leaders: President Yoon and Chairman Kim
It seemed to me that Chairman Kim was actually seeing a way out of the steel trap he was in, with Beijing breathing down his neck, probably planning at some point to literally take over NK out of “necessity” after some precarious setup. I see dear God Almighty in the works, that He threw Chairman Kim a lifeline in the person of Dennis Rodman . . . Dennis Rodman was a conduit to Donald Trump (surely the PRC and the Globalists despised and still despise Dennis Rodman for facilitating that).
So then you had Chairman Kim and our President Donald J. Trump meeting and an incredible miracle was happening. Then the “Libyan model” comment by John Bolton. Actually, as it turns out, I think, it was a good thing that Chairman Kim stepped back . . . God bless him . . . the Globalist slavering wolves would indeed have made North Korea a “Libyan model” if they could get their mitts on it without Trump blocking them. The Globalists would like to make South Korea a “Libyan model” as well.
Dear Heavenly Father, praying for the people of both Koreas to keep cool, even recognizing that they too have cold anger at those who want to make refugees of all of them, North and South.
So what’s this guy’s speil? Do we consider him good or bad?
<Do we consider him good or bad?>
I don’t know…
I got confused after Yoon took over from Moon last June.
Let’s just hope there won’t be any Loon replacing Yoon and Moon.
Wonder if it was his idea, or Xi’s?
He looks like a she.
Lots of fog of war going on. It would be unsurprising if people on the left in S. Korea would seek to undermine their government. It’s not like we don’t have the same problem here. I think we understand well the threat of leftists. Given their otherwise first world status, we wait to see what comes out. If this declaration isn’t immediately removed, I would expect a lot of evidence of corruption to be presented.
And if this seems to come out of nowhere? Well, you’re not alone. But when you look at the neighbors and the neighborhood, and the state of global affairs? Anything is possible… especially if it’s that this guy is trying to head off a coup which is what I’m hearing this is.
The US CIA absolutely wants to take us into a world war. Trump effectively reduced this potential for that to happen between Ukraine and Russia. Would it be surprising if other routes are now being taken to this end?
All speculation, but there is word of spies of the communist sort have already been captured.
It now looks like it was removed, but the military is still obeying the previous orders.

Q: WHY?
UniParty test run ??
I figured Biden would beat him to the punch before Trump took office.
Anyway it looks like Yun Suk must’ve stuffed Biden’s playbook in his pocket last time they met when the big-guy was gawking off at some things to sniff
At least he hasn’t invited North Korean soldiers to be peacekeepers…yet.
I thought all the North Korean Army was 6,000 miles away fighting Ukraine?
Hardly all; more like a thin sliver.
🤣 🤣 🤣
IKR?
👻 👻👻👻👻👻
Yes, you do! 🫡
The Korean parliament has just voted to override the South Korean president’s martial law.
Yes. As stated in Sundance’s post above:
“Hours later, the Democrat controlled parliament voted to lift the declaration, with National Assembly Speaker Woo Won Shik declaring that the martial law was ‘invalid’ and that lawmakers ‘will protect democracy with the people.’ “
What action sparked this declaration of martial law?
The CIA sneezed.
People understand one thing about the left: IT IS POWER
Some people fear it. Some people crave it.
BINGO!!!
It is CONTROL which is achieved through power.
Note how many times the word “Control” is mentioned below.
(HOW TO CREATE A SOCIALIST STATE BY SAUL ALINSKY)
There are eight levels of control that must be obtained before you’re able to attain a socialist state , the first is the most important :
#1 Healthcare , control healthcare and you control the people .
#2) Poverty , increase the poverty level as high as possible, poor people are easier to control and will not fight back if you’re providing everything for them to live.
#3) Debt , Increase the debt to an unsustainable level that way you’re able to increase taxes and this will produce more poverty.
#4) Gun control, remove peoples ability to defend themselves from the government , that way you are able to create a police state.
#5) Welfare ,Take control of every aspect of their lives (Food housing & income)
#6) Education , take control of what people read and listen to , take control of what children learn in school : Think Common core
#7) Religion , remove the belief in God from government & schools .
#8) Class warfare , divide the people into the healthy and the poor as this will provide more discontent and make it easier to “Tax” the wealthy with the support of the poor .
Maybe it’s my age or ?? But why?
Eventually one looks around and says what now!
At 75 I’ve been doing that for about a decade now!
Roof over my head, food to eat, far too many clothes and processions! Don’t need more!
All I really need is the good Lord and knowing He will keep the wolf away from my house until He calls me home to Him!
I’m of the same mind, actually. It’s actually hard for me to understand a need or desire for power. Spoiled kids who can’t bother do create things for themselves feel the need to demand it from others.
Parliaments and politics. No thanks. Each trying to ‘impeach’ the other…hey wait.
https://www.rokdrop.net/2024/12/04/president-yoons-attempt-to-declare-martial-law-fails/
Perhaps, if nothing else, to get attention on the DP question. If there was no winning then lose to injustice and corruption in a very public display.
I rather sympathize with Yoon if the details in the article above are accurate.
Trump asked Zelenskyy for information about the Hunter Biden situation. The Democrats went immediately to impeachment. No martial law declaration is appropriate but it was obvious to anyone without TDS impeachment was retaliation for looking into Democrat party corruption.
I suspect there is no process for removal where Yoon would survive. Apparently they have a history of imprisoning and even executing the leaders they remove. So calling global attention to the matter was probably the right play. Now everyone is going to look at them while they do their dirty Democratic party deeds.
Another example of WEF disciples burrowed inside a “western” democracy with strong ties to the US, working to destabilize said government? If the liberal democrats are fighting reforms, the reforms must be good for South Korea, IMO.
.
We have around 25,000 troops stationed in South Korea, not counting their families, at a cost of many billions of dollars per year.
Why? What is our national interest?
Why aren’t the anti-Israel America Firsters carrying on about this? NK has launchers pointed at Camp Humphreys and could wipe it out in minutes. Arguably our military’s most dangerous station.
.
There are 25,000 American troops defending South Korea’s border plus hundreds of American tanks and fighter aircraft but nothing protecting our border?
Yup…
Problem solved.
Close the base.
Bring those troops home.
Protect our borders.

We don’t have allies, we have vassal states that we use to cause strife and attempt dominance over any country that does not self neuter its’ national interests and subject itself to control by the globalist oligarchs who run our country.
The idea that the US is a democratic Republic, whose government represents and answers to its’ citizens has long been abandoned.
End all foreign entanglements, bring our military home and deploy on our borders.
Dismantle the State Department, foreign aid and funding for the NGOs and corporate think tanks.
Compete peacefully with solid trade agreements and by industrializing, mining, drilling and innovation. Eliminate the Education Department and end segregating public education taxes so that every family can shop for the best education their child needs, using vouchers.
We need an educated public, gainful employment and business opportunities. End the Administrative state and the unconstitutional regulations made by bureaucrats. Congress creates laws, not just guidelines for millions of pages of regs to stifle competition and innovation.
End using our military as a private mercenary army to take resources and subjugate countries for a handful of corporations to profit off.
I actually expect under martial law, US forces will be invited to leave.
There are parties that would desire otherwise.

Excerpts from the report. I put the conclusion in the first link.
Below it is the link to the entire report for your reading pleasure.
“The 2024 Index concludes that the current U.S. military force is at significant risk of being unable to meet the demands of a single major regional conflict while also attending to various presence and engagement activities. The force would probably not be able to do more and is certainly ill-equipped to handle two nearly simultaneous MRCs—a situation that is made more difficult by the generally weak condition of key military allies.”
“As currently postured, the U.S. military is at significant risk of not being able to defend America’s vital national interests with assurance. It is rated as “weak” relative to the force needed to defend national interests on a global stage against actual challenges in the world as it is rather than as we wish it were. This is the inevitable result of years of sustained use, underfunding, poorly defined priorities, wildly shifting security policies, exceedingly poor discipline in program execution, and a profound lack of seriousness across the national security establishment even as threats to U.S. interests have surged.”

“…in essence, from Trump’s perspective that would lessen the influence of China.”
I’ve been hearing from the geopolitical sources that I’ve been following that while it’s the common perception that North Korea is propped up by and is a close ally of China, that rather, China regards NK as a bit of a rogue pest, and it’s really Russia who performs the role that China is perceived to play.
I’m talking about people like Ray Mcgovern and Chas Freeman with respect to those sources I was referring to. (Chas Freeman appears on a very good show called Dialogue Works – Dialogue Works – YouTube).
Does anyone on this thread have anything they can point me to which would either confirm or deny this perspective? I don’t have any skin in the game and I don’t mind either way what the actual answer turns out to be. It’s just I have a feeling that NK is going to become a major chess piece as the Great Game rolls out in 2025, and given how the newly forged Russia-China relationship is a major pivot point in the epic battle between the West vs BRICS which is going to become a central focus of contention in 2025 and beyond, it would be good to know the actual fact of the matter re: this North Korean question.
Thanks in advance, appreciate any and all data anyone has to share.
So, basically North Korea is China’s Puerto Rico?
Poor Puerto Rico with you around CJ.
I guess every country has to have one.
Unfortunately, we have several! LOL
North Korea is/was to China as the Ukraine is to Russia.

Why did Nancy Pelosi visit North Korea?
Why did Clinton give nuclear tech to North Korea?
Why did Bill Richardson and Eric Schmidt go to North Korea?

What changed since the Clinton, Pelosi, and Schmidt visits?
Clinton made big buck$$$ selling USA missile secrets to the Chinese.
Macgregor has stated a few times the Russians have more control over NK than China and that most Chinese do not like the North Koreans (or anyone else). I believe it was Macgregor who stated that NK made bank during the Ukrainian war supplying the Russians with 155mm shells for something like $30 each – compared to Nato’s cost of something like $700 each. This was a one reason why the Russians outbombed the Ukrainians 10/1. He thinks the news that the North Koreans are fighting in UKR is bullcrap due to not being needed + language/tech barrier + logistics. They’ve been training with the Russians for a number of years, but stay mainly around the NK border.

Came across this about the leaders of South Korea. I think it is interesting in light of today’s events.
1. Syngman Rhee (1948–1960) – Overthrown
2. Yun Bo-seon (1960–1962) – Overthrown
3. Park Chung-hee (1962–1979) – Assassinated
4. Choi Kyu-hah (1979–1980) – Removed by a military coup

VERY enlightening. Being S.Korea’s president is a very unhealthy job! Who set up their unstable government anyway? OH! That was US! That is to say the United States.
Very unstable government ya got there, shame if something happened to it……….
How’s about we just stick around for an indefinite amount of time and sorta keep an eye on things for ya?
“eye” … hmmmm … what has an “eye” in its’ name ??
but they have a demoracy…my as*…….
Yup, nothing new in S. Korea.
Good job!
When it is laid out like that.
Yikes!😳😬😳😳
Puts an added perspective on what is happening…
yeah, like I said, both sides of the peninsula have always been sketchy
this list makes the north look stable lol
Yoon’s declaration of martial law is linked to the corruption allegations against him.

VERY BAD HISTORY. I’M surprised that S Korea remains such a manufacturing powerhouse
Maybe it would be interesting to know who or which USA government official/agency visited before or after each regime “change”.
I was in South Korea when they had martial law. The town outside the Chinhae Naval base had armed military personnel all over the place and loud speakers on the hill overlooking the town blasting what I assumed was some sort of propaganda. There was a military checkpoint to get in and out. Then while traveling to Pusan (now called Busan) we passed a two armed men with a mounted machine gun on a freeway overpass. The 10PM curfew was enforced at gunpoint – shoot first then ask questions. I can understand the resistance to live under these type of circumstances, but are things that bad in South Korea? It is a bit scary to think that it might be and what ending the pause of the Korean war would mean. Especially now that China’s military is now much stronger and more capable while the US is more interested in DEI and supporting all the Corporal Klinger’s. Trump’s inauguration is needed now before even more wars are started.
Scary
Been worried that the American Globalists would do martial law here
Still believe if the American Globalists won our country would probably be headed that way!
😳😳😱
“Despite the South Korean parliament voting to invalidate the martial law declaration so far, the South Korean military appears to be supporting the position of the president.”
There are instruments so dangerous to the rights of the nation, and which place them so totally at the mercy of their governors, that those governors, whether legislative or executive, should be restrained from keeping such instruments on foot, but in well-defined cases. Such an instrument is a standing army.
– Thomas Jefferson
A standing army is one of the greatest mischief that can possibly happen. Without standing armies liberty can never be in danger, nor with large ones safe. A standing military force, with an overgrown executive will not long be safe companions to liberty. The means of defense against foreign danger, have been always the instruments of tyranny at home. Throughout all Europe, the armies kept up under the pretext of defending, have enslaved the people.
– James Madison (“The Father of the United States Constitution”)
This will backfire at the speed of light, and South Korea will become a socialistic country quickly more or less like Brazil and roughly in the same manner.
As the saying goes…..
This was not on my Bingo Card!😬😳
Where’s Samantha Power?
South Korea’s president says he will lift martial law after parliament votes to block measure.

Answer: To give my best from living here (expat, but married to a very politically active Korean)
Yoon is a wildly, wildly unpopular president. There’s a whole list of things, but the simplest answer I can give is he’s the Donald Trump of Korea. There’ve been protests calling for his impeachment and/or resignation every day for over 3 years at this point.
Yoon has now alienated his conservative party as well as the usual opposing party opposition. There are rumors that impeachment processes were to start tomorrow. Hence, he declared martial law tonight here at about 9PM our time. He claims that the liberal party has been influenced and corrupted by North Koreans, and he’s doing this to protect the Korean constitution. To give a very brusque guess….that appears to be an excuse, putting it mildly.
So far parliament has been in shambles with trying to get together to vote to end said martial law. This has happened before and the constitution has safeguards for how to prevent it again. It requires a 50% vote to end it from Parliament. So far tonight, the police have tried blocking all entrances with legislators getting inside. After that, they were fighting off citizens who were also working to keep things complicated so that parliament could actually vote to end it before they were arrested. It seems as of writing this the vote went through. The military itself also seems to show no signs that anybody knew this was coming.

Not my problem. Not my worry. My enemy is in Washington DC not South or North Korea. Live and let live, says I.
I have no doubt that the N. Korean people suffer from PTSD on every cultural and political level. They simply have no analog for understanding what freedom or self determination is.
Reunification, in whatever form, will be long and arduous.
“Reunification, in whatever form, will be long and arduous.”
True that. Back when the Berlin Wall came down I was working for people who had immigrated from southern Germany back in the late 50’s, and had maintained close ties with their extended families. When East Germany finally got a chance to live and experience life west of the old wall many of them were so overwhelmed with what they saw that they ran back to the east looking for protection. They were simply not prepared for the responsibilities that go hand in hand with liberty and freedom.
Cultural observation here:
Post Korean War the Presbyterian Church was extremely active in South Korea. My childhood church was evangelical supporting many missions around the world. We had several missionaries from families in our church who were supported 100% planting churches and founding schools. We supplied scholarships for Koreans to attend colleges and Seminary.
Currently the Presbyterian church with the LARGEST congregation membership is in Korea! It has many outreach churches through out the country.
Yes, I went to YoungNak Church in Seoul this summer. It IS impressive and a very active church.
O biden visited SK in Nov. Did he knew? This does not comes out of the blue.
no matter where you go, dem party ALWYAS aligns with the commies/fascists/nazis….even in s. korea…
The whole Korean peninsula has always seemed sketchy to me.
Always wondered where the Hyundai / Kia aftermarket parts would come from if it turned into a war torn wasteland.
Koreans are the Italians of Asia. This, told me by many Koreans over the decades. They are the most emotional of the Far Eastern nations.
And there is only room for one Mussolini there.
Suddenly there is tension where there was large scale talk of the potential for Unification between the two just 4 1/2 yrs ago..?
Anyone seen Samantha Power lately? This has her type of stench all around it.
So their Democrats are Totalitarian communists like ours?

Curious post by the Anonymous DC Insider guy: Claims the US Intel agencies were behind this as a “beta test”?
How legitimate is this DC Insider?
Does this portend trouble come Jan 20?
Yes, it’s a beta. The Plandemic fascism was rolled out there as well.
This wouldn’t happen unless the US approved it beforehand. Talk amongst yourselves.
Apparently as of this writing’s timestamp he has retracted the declaration of martial law. Something about his own party being supremely PO’d.
Donnie Jr. held a rally there not that long ago.
The American intervention that saved the South, was fought to a draw by the PRC military.
The PRC had only just prevailed in the war of consolidating all of China against the US backed and supplied Kuomintang forces of the last war lord, Chiang Kai-shek.
The point being that a very primitive PRC defeated (a “freeze” is a strategic defeat for the stronger power) our military and prevented our goals of liberating the entire Peninsula and uniting the Korean people.
In the intervening decades our military, military leadership, technology, industrial capacity, and societal cohesion on the home front have massively degraded.
We continually topple governments and create proxies for failed conflicts in our compulsive obsession of ultimate world hegemony.
The proxy victim countries end up destroyed (Ukraine, Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, ect.).
My concern is South Korea will end up destroyed, as likely will Taiwan, Japan and the Phillipines. If Trump does not dismantle the neocon permanent state
The Vietnamese asked our help to liberate a united Vietnam from the French colonialist exploiters, but we spurned them. They went with the communist block and prevailed. That military disaster tore our American social fabric apart, from which we never recovered.

It is a long time ago, mid 1990’s, when I used to travel to Souel quite a lot… The people I met with (IT Sales and customers) all wanted re-unification.
Not really. That all changed on a dime when the collapse of NK threatened to lead to Unification. Pretty much overnight the song changed from Unification Now to Maybe in a Few Decades….
The only tyrant here is Yoon.. he has the backing of the Deep State as the opposition is more popular than Yoon and want peaceful coexistence with the Norks.. and since Trump tried to negotiate with them in the first term against the interests of the Deep State they are trying to preempt him from doing so again
The direct outcome of martial law is most likely that Yoon gets to stay in power and cancel upcoming elections.. inspired by Zelensky ofcourse
South Korea is a client state of America and will not make such drastic decisions without the support/prodding of the Deep State
The leader of the opposition party which is instituting impeachment procedures against President Yun Seok-yel stated that he was afraid that after the failure of the coup attempt, the current president might try to provoke a conflict with North Korea to try to retain his position.
Let us hope that there will be no such conflict.

Oh boy… South Korea are in huge sh*t with the US. The White House spokesman, during a press conference about the situation, used the i-word, three times
“I do want to underscore that our alliance with ROK is IRONCLAD…” Having had 14 months of experience with the Biden administration and their use of the word “ironclad”, we would like to send our deepest condolences to the Korean people.

Reflections on Korea.
My friend isn’t worried but her family is thinking about leaving the country if/when the Pro-NK Factions impeach the President.
I’ve lived about a total of 8 years in South Korea + have a MA in East Asia Studies with a Korea Focus. I used to keep up with the news there daily until about 2017…
— We won’t have a clear idea about what is going on for a few days:
The Withdrawal of the Martial Law Decree was Procedural given the Parliamentary Vote.
– It is not a Given the Pres. was fully on board with the Military in declaring it – given SK’s history.
– It is not a Given that the Military + Conservative Agencies will fully back down though the decree has been lifted.
– The pundits who are saying the Pres. blaming Pro-NK Factions is just propaganda are – full of crap:
NK + China have spent considerable effort for many decades to Subvert SK Society – particularly among the young adults at University + Working Class.
Next, a large chunk of the society likes to pretend North Korean Sympathies. It is tied up with the Anti-US Culture that is predominantly a fad (but still important).
When push comes to shove – the last thing the bulk of South Koreans want to do is Reunite with the North or adopt NK’s economic + cultural aspects. — They like to pretend they do + like to agitate about it – but – would oppose reunification in a heart beat if it started to become a reality…
— But pretending can sometimes stumble into realities… It makes reading South Korea a challenge at times…
— We’ll have to watch what the Military + its Intel,Agencies do in the coming days.
— Very Importantly – I do not take it as a Given that this is an Isolated Event – unconnected to the rest of the world:
The speed of the 2020 Global Lockdowns indicates – a lot of prep work went on for months before it. We still have little data on that beyond the Event 201 Tabletop War Game.
— The Tripwires that have been maintained for over half a century — have been pulled in recent months: Ukraine – Palestine/Israel – now Georgia + Korea have been put into play.
The US + UK are lobbing long-range missiles into Russia. France + the UK have promised to send Ground Troops if Trump cuts Ukraine off. Russia just proved all the Anti-ICBM Defenses are fairly useless.
The US is poised for Severe Destabilization in 2025.
— I have repeatedly pointed out – 2025 is a mammoth year for the Ruling Occult Families in the West.
The current Russo-Ukrainian War mirrors WW1:
They say it was a Senseless War. That the Great powers stumbled into it. That it was easily avoidable.
WW1 accomplished 2 things the Ruling Elites in the West had said for a couple of decades was Mandatory to save civilization: Global Government + Depopulation.
What have the Globalists of today been preaching….?
— I have noted many times before – Alice Bailey was a guru to the Ruling Elite Occultists 100 years ago. That she taught in 1936 that WW1 was not an “accident” that the Great Powers “stumbled” into – but was a Successful Experiment to achieve their Goals – 2 of which mentioned above.
She said it would fully flower 30 years from 1936.
We now know – the Counter-Culture + Hippie Movement were fostered by the CIA + similar Culture Engineering Agencies in the West. + we knew at the time – 1968 was a watershed period for the world… (Alice Bailey + Helena Blavatsky coined the phrases New Age + New World Order at the turn of the 20th century.)
We also know beyond a shadow of a doubt — Western Civilization is bearing the fruit of a whole Hades of a lot of Social Engineering from the Top Down… like the Transgender Revolution & Transhumanism & Globalization…
– I have to conclude – we are witnessing a repetition of the start of the last century…. Set in motion by the same forces at the top of Western Societies…
Rumors in 2015 were that current & former elements of the Military + 3-Letter Agencies were aware of the giant plans for the reformation of civilization + recruited Trump to thwart or mitigate the effort…
I put that in a big ? box in my head but 2020 + subsequent events seem to confirm it substantially.
Leo Zagami warned in his 2016 book (Confessions vol 2) that the chatter in the Top Levels of the Secret Societies was all about – 2020 – and a transformation of civilization that would include — release of Deadly Viruses + seemingly Natural Disasters + a Major War that would escalate into WW4…
Newt Gingrich in 2016 told Fox News that the reason Trump drove the GOPe crazy was – he didn’t know the Secret Handshakes + had not been thru the Initiation Rites + didn’t belong to the Secret Societies.
In 2008, Ted Turner was flattered by his friend Charlie Rose at the end of a long interview + said in an off-the-cuff remarks that — he self-identified as part of circles who “did the Holocaust” but also did the Mona Lisa + Beethoven’s 5th Symphony + that the Earth was worth saving + that was all they were trying to do – save Humanity….
We don’t like to reflect on these things….
But – Ted Turner was far from inconsequential:
He was tapped to begin the 24/7 Global News phenomenon.
He created his own Olympics – called the Goodwill Games (following the UN’s + Alice Bailey’s leads).
He donated $1 billion to the UN to form the UN Foundation.
He said himself that one of the reasons he divorced Jane Fonda was her conversion to Christianity…
These things are real – though they don’t teach them in College or highlight them in the News…
I forgot to add – SK is one of the most highly vaxxed nations.
Over the past year, studies by Koreans have come out matching similar findings around the world about the devastating effects of the shots.
Korean Society is very temperamental. Known for being Hot Headed. It also has a very long history of,Protesting + Agitation.
The Ruling Elites in SK must be worried about what will happen as the reality of the Vaxes unfold + more comes out from the US about 2020-21.
Israel was the most vaxxed nation on Earth.
They are too preoccupied with other things at the moment to pay too much attention to turbo cancers + myocarditis + died suddenly….right…?
Do not rule out that this Martial Law Event could be actually coordinated with the Leftist Parties in Parliament…
