During an appearance in Kazakhstan today, Russian President Vladimir Putin had a press conference with Russian journalists who asked questions about the current conflict with Ukraine.
Before getting to the video, it is worth mentioning that our western viewpoint of Russia respecting strength; is not entirely accurate. There is something Russians respect more than strength, brutal honesty.
One of the things that separates Russians from their eastern European counterparts, is their keen ability to detect and dismiss bullshit. If you watch Russian engagement, from either inside or outside of Russia, their non pretending is truly an artform. Even the silent space between their words is something remarkable to watch.
In this first video segment, Russian President Putin is asked about the motives of outgoing U.S. President Joe Biden to escalate the NATO conflict with Russia. Look, I’m no Putin whisperer, but I can see a brutally obvious motive of Vladimir Putin speaking directly to President Trump, through the media. For a myriad of reasons, including the honesty of his responses and statements, this approach seems completely logical and practical.

When commuting to my low-key Thanksgiving today, I listened to several of Putin’s recently pressers.
In one, he complimented President Trump several times, saying he is smart and will figure things out (screwed up Federal government). He also acknowledged his legal travesties and assassination attempt.
In a second, he commented on his new Mach 10, 36-warhead kinetic missile which several people have called a ‘game changer’. This missile supposedly can’t be shot down, and can reach all of Europe.

the US and not even Venezuela can compete with the inexpensive and easy to produce Russian oil and in particular natural gas. this is true for 6 major reasons:

answer: yes, that IS the game. Lets be very clear…there is a reason that the US has a “relationship” with the saudis…like it or not, if the US decided to forgo any agreements with Saudis, they would dump cheap oil (and they have multiple times to demonstrate this power) and it would cause widespread business to collapse…and has happened before. Russia, to be clear, can also do the same, but I would argue with far greater consequences to the US than anything the saudis have done before or could do.
a. Russia is in an antagonistic relationship with the US. we have high restrictions, embargos and even boycotts…account seized…Russia is operating a WAR to gain an energy market play…that is far more valuable than even the trillions of dollars it represents…winning this war, means Russia can assert it influence and broaden its power and the US and all other nations will have to accept that…terms will be favorable to Russia far greater than what we have seen. For every action, there is a reaction. US dominance in the oil and energy markets will decline. we cannot compete with that. Period. end of story…
b. a squeeze on us oil, with fewer customers drives UP the cost of domestic energy prices….and it kills jobs…millions of jobs. our entire economy AND GROWTH is connected to relatively cheap energy and reliable energy. Russian energy into global markets would undercut the ability for US energy to remain stable and inexpensive. we cannot be nieve’ to believe that Russia energy will ever be allowed to be sold into the US..that will never happen…and even if that were true, it would cause a massive disruption in every part of our economy.
c. The US provides substantial energy to China…it’s one of the reasons why ‘can” have cheap and inexpensive energy and thus our economy relative to others is very strong. Russia outselling or even in competing in the China market, would be devastating.
These are solely my own opinions. I believe therefore that while President Trump can and will help negotiate a peaceful settlement with Ukraine and Russia, he must also hammer out some kind of reinforced treatise to minimize and protect US Jobs, and specifically our domestic economy that relies of US production…and less about foreign market makers.

Both Trump and Putin know that the “lunatics” and “gangsters” who run the clandestine leadership cabal of the American intelligence community (i.e., the people who control Biden) will from now until inauguration day keep poking at Russia with ever increasing, escalatory strikes inside Russian territory.
I believe Putin will wait them out until Trump takes charge, and will willfully restrain his military so as to avoid any counter-attack directly on any NATO country. He doesn’t need to. Instead, he will take out his wrath on The Idiot Zelensky.
The latest barrage of Russian missiles and drones has just about destroyed the entirety of Ukraine’s power grid — just in time for winter. And I think we’ll see a few more of those “unstoppable” hyper-sonic ballistic missiles laser-beamed into Ukraine. Will the major train trestles and vehicular bridges around Kiev start to disappear?
The world will watch not only Putin’s restraint, but also the total, completely unnecessary destruction of Ukraine. Life for Ukrainians will basically become unbearable, all over the country, and when Trump and Putin decide on how to divvy-up the new boundaries, they (and the Ukrainian population) will immediately run Zelensky’s ass out of town and put together a re-building plan and protection zone that will benefit both sides.

Topic understandably brings up questions, regarding whether or not Putin can be “trusted”. I think that by now, given the “west”; has already abrogated any previously negotiated deals (pre dating Minsk etc ) regarding NATO continuing to advance and the oft quoted “not one inch” that they would move eastward toward RU.
( when in fact by now RU is virtually encircled by NATO ) as part of the J. Baker negotiated agreements that unified E and W Germany with Gorbachev.
I think the onus is actually on the west now, and it is Putin that would understandably have doubts as to the west being desirous of, or even capable of, adhering to any new agreements. Moving forward with agreements that broker actual peace would otherwise be fraught with distrust.
Except – for a newly negotiated peace agreement and a cessation of hostilities that Putin has already, or will make with POTUS.
He *knows* POTUS will hold up “our” end. When others, clearly have not.

I’ve believed for awhile now that Trump should flip the script with Russia. Call for joint investigations as to the origins of the Ukraine war. Nordstream. The Moscow opera house massacre. The missiles fired by American “contractors” on Russia with direct US military participation. Where the money went. Rebuilding a neutral Ukraine. Etc etc.
I just feel like Trump should disavow the Biden regime and throw EVERYONE involved straight under the bus.
