In this episode of Joe Rogan, Marc Andreessen discusses some very important topics in the world of politics.
Marc Andreessen is a Silicon Valley entrepreneur, investor, and software engineer. He is co-creator of the world’s first widely used internet browser, Mosaic, cofounder and general partner at the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz, and cohost of “The Ben & Marc Show” podcast.
Andreessen was also a life-long democrat, and the details of the subject matter he outlines is really quite remarkable. It’s a long discussion; however, if you do not have time use the chapter reference points. Andreessen talks rather fast, and the conversation is being widely discussed.

This is really, really good. Definitely worth your time. Andressen confirms all the evil plans of Democrats and explains the political division in the tech world well along these lines well.
I can’t wait to listen to it later. I like “Andreessen talks rather fast”, I listen to everything at 1.25 or 1.5 times speed and find people talk to slow 😂😂
I *ALMOST* couldn’t keep up at 2X, a speed I’m WELL used to. He talks VERY fast! Faster than Ben Shapiro!
And…. Donald J, Trump, Junior?
LOL! Same here, once you get used to high speed it is hard to go back. I will do normal for a tiny bit just to get the feel and tone for the person, but after that zip, zip, zip.
LMAO I thought I was the only one! I go anywhere from 1.75 – 1.8! I’ve done it for so long I listen to several podcasts a day!
The most frightening parts were those he spoke about regarding keeping startups from starting up, debanking people, keeping AI companies to 3 or so, and many OTHER controlling aspects of our everyday lives. It’s clear they were trying to dominate us. John Kerry was right 4 years ago when he said “Americans are going to be shocked at the speed changes happen.” And I was! It’s time to find his crimes in destabilizing the country and prosecute him.

I always laugh at the companies in my industry all following the herd to AI. They are led by mediocre people, right to their own demise. GUESS WHO WILL LEAD AI??? NOT YOUR DUMB LITTLE COMPANY, THAT’S FOR SURE.
The real forward thinking minds should be focusing on BUILDING SYSTEMS AND PLATFORMS FOR HUMANS TO MANAGE THE AI.
People!!!!!
IT WILL ALWAYS BE ABOUT PEOPLE. AI IS ONLY USEFUL TO THE EXTENT THAT IT SERVES THE PEOPLE WHO MANAGE AND OPERATE IT.
The workforce operations are going to have to be STREAMLINED, with extreme care put into efficient use of talent and skill.
Unfortunately, many companies have become welfare operations for dummies whose parents could afford to send them to college.
I study my industry to reverse engineer systems and competitor business models and it is abundantly clear that most of the personnel have no value and not only don’t do anything, they DESTROY the work of their useful colleagues just by being there.
In one extreme case i determined through metrics a huge consulting firm that doesn’t know how to consult, and is a subsidiary of a staffing company that doesn’t know how to staff.
MEDIOCRE PERSONNEL WITH OBSOLETE SKILL SETS ARE ABOUT TO BE ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK.
Why? Why AI? Why do we have to have it? What will people do? Elon Musk couldn’t answer the latter when asked.
I’m a Luddite.
AI can do all sorts of things faster, cheaper and more accurately than a person doing the same task.
With humans you have to deal with turnover etc. Reinventing the wheel twice a year.
AI is cumulative and improves in performance as time goes by. It actually “learns”.
Lots of people have problems in that department. Colleges are churning out entire generations of educated fools who steer things toward woke garbage because it’s EASY in the same way a lazy cop feathers his bed by handing speeding tickets.
And there’s also the fact that you don’t have to provide health insurance or unemployment benefits to an algorithm.
THAT SAID, you’re always going to need people. More highly specialized, better motivated, better skilled, operating at a higher level analysis aggregating all the AI workflow. THESE ARE ALL PRECISELY DETERMINABLE BY COMPUTER METRICS.
Creative thinkers are going to be in extremely high demand. Why? Creative thinkers can spot, solve and preserve company assets lost thru inefficiencies.
WHAT YOU AREN’T GOING TO NEED ARE DUM DUM GOLDBRICKERS.
But the dum dum goldbrickers are the backbone of the American workforce.
The new metrics that will be running on the back end of the AI management platforms will expose the goldbrickers in real time.
I believe the average company is 50-60 percent dead weight, and before you scoff THIS INCLUDES MANAGEMENT AND EXECUTIVES. So they all have an interest in maintaining the status quo.
But AI is the new one reality at least in any tech related field.
I’m in the legal profession, but on the tech side. And it’s increasingly becoming a data management sector, due to vastly huge companies generating electronic records and email etc.
AI has already taken over much of the clerical work and initial data sweeps during major litigation.
Wow ! If I believe what is posted here this morning AI is the answer to all our problems. We need to get our head out of the clouds folks . Everything produced on this planet is a result of mechanical action , that will not change . What’s being proposed is to replace the human factor in production . So who / what is going to build and maintain this technology ? People ? No ? So it will take legions of AI run machines to even begin to substitute for what the human factor accounts for ? Not going to work , the infrastructure for power generation and transmission does not exist and cannot be built for decades or even a century if we can obtain / process the necessary natural resources . There is no substitute for the flexibility of the human factor . Our problem right now is poor work ethic worldwide.
You didn’t read what i wrote very well because my ACTUAL POINT is that AI is NOT the answer to our problems.
However, it is a business reality and you have to deal with the market conditions as they are, not as you might want them to be.
I believe that what most people are missing is that there is nothing new about artificial intelligence.
What do you think a search engine {Google, bing, etc.}
is ?
As for application, ask a farmer how that ai controlled John Deere is working out ?
Trust God. Fear not.
If AI doesn’t serve people it kills people. We are also told that AI will require twice the power generation we have now, while people are told to reduce their own energy consumption. AI has the bias of its developers. An AI Nazi is no better that a ‘liberal lunatic’ Nazi.
God didn’t make man to have a life PRECISELY DETERMINABLE BY COMPUTER METRICS.
Every human being is a creative thinker. AI doesn’t create anything.
Most people never even switch on the creative part of their brain. I don’t think you’re correct. They have the CAPACITY in their brains to do this, but choose not to.
Those cast off not smart enough people will be joining the ranks of the jobless on the backs of those still employed. Or they will have to be forced to find less glamorous work at lower pay by having unemployment benefits being denied.
Don’t argue with anything you say. But, do worry about the sociological downside of AI, the external costs if you will. Human beings need something to DO even if it those things may not be most efficiently done by humans. Human beings with too much time on their hands tend to get into trouble. They get involved in political causes like anti- racism or climate change, or you name it. They know nothing about those things, but convince themselves they do, and then are bound to screw them up. Better to have them slaving away at something, anything, that requires their attention to be directed elsewhere. AI is not helpful in that regard. Profitable? Yes. Productive on balance? Time will tell. Color me skeptical.
some new industry will spring up that doesn’t exist now that will change everything, like it always does.
Remember, the cumulative “work” that spans across Elon Musk’s empire all have one thing in common: Neither he, nor any of us, will live to see it come to full fruition.
That’s like 50-75 years out.
The most important consumer product in Elon’s portfolio is THE BATTERY.
In fact, TESLA ONLY EXISTS AND IS USEFUL TO ELON INSOMUCH AS IT PROVIDES A MASS PRODUCED, WIDELY DISTRIBUTED, DIVERSE PLATFORM TO DEVELOP, TEST AND IMPROVE THE BATTERY.
That the cars have cool features is a value add. And part of the magic.
BUT ELON’S CONCERN IS THAT BATTERY. Where he’s taking it — he won’t live to see — but he will hand off to the next generation human genius polymaths to figure out.
That battery IS GOING TO TRANSFORM AND REORIENT EVERY ASPECT OF HUMAN LIFE.
THAT is where the displaced people will go for work — REBUILDING SOCIETY AROUND ELON’S BATTERY.
He may ALREADY have surpassed the genius of Leonardo Da Vinci. Sir Isaac Newton. Shakespeare. Einstein. Elon’s different even than that.
AI is not “intelligence”. All AI is just software code: if this, then that, else that other thing. It is only a very fast decision-making process, it does what a human programs it to do. But, AI cannot think. The series “Castle” had an episode (I think it was Castle) about drones. An example used was a targeted car had three red spots on it. The drone had instructions to shoot a car with three red spots. The drone pilot had doubts so zoomed in. The three red dots the drone “saw” turned out to be roses; a young just married couple was in the car. They would have been killed, murdered, if the drone pilot had not taken a second look. AI is like all the other IT tech hoopla technology over the years. Sounds cool but underneath not much is different. IT companies are very good at selling the hype and reaping huge rewards $$$$$$$.
I would say AI is like all of our recent technological innovations; computers, cell phones, the internet, social media, etc.
The advantages are quickly, easily readily percieved, the DISadvantages only become apparent over time.
For istance, cell phones are great, if there is an auto accident, or someone falls unconscious, etc. someone can quickly call 911, for example. And of coarse there are many other advantages,…
That it can be used to track your movements, and listen in on your life, even when turned off,…not so much.
The other thing is, these innovations are ‘addictive’ both in the literal sense that they trigger a dopamine release in the brain, and in the sense that we becomr DEPENDANT on them, and can’t imaginr going bsck to a life without them.
And this addiction or dependance manifests well before the DIS advantages become apparent.
Presumably, AI will also have advantages thatcare readily apparent, and DIS-advantsges that will only become appsrent some time well after its roll out, and after we have become utterly dependant on it.
Some ideas are best left alone, like “self-driving cars”, and yet there seems this inexhorable push towards these innovations, instead of “Just say no!”
I, too am a luddite.
I believe you are mistaken about this. A core problem of LLM is you can’t trace back from the output to the input. Of course, terms like “think”are loaded.
How long before lawyers get a case, tap it into AI, AI decides you cannot win the case, and a human being is denied justice?
It has been a long time since ‘Lawyers’ cared about justice.
“Justice” is a loaded term to begin with. Justice FOR WHO?
It’s a complex question and you have to figure in the high cost of pursuing the case. If a plaintiff has the means to pay for the litigation then a lawyer is much more likely to take the case in any event.
In my own work I consult primarily for all manner of bad guys. I live and work in the DC swamp and I do the bidding of some of the world’s worst “bad actors” WHY? BECAUSE THEY PAY.
In ANY legal case the first and primary consideration is AM I GOING TO GET PAID FOR THIS.
I don’t do case intake anymore but I can tell you that many factors go into whether a lawyer is going to take a case. Much of it can be arbitrary. Potential cases come in faster than you can assess them. I’ve thrown away whole piles of potential cases simply because i didn’t have the time to process them.
So to the extent that AI can make the case intake process run more smoothly, the potential is there that it could actually HELP people seek justice who otherwise would have lost out. Perhaps AI can find potential payouts that humans cannot!
As a caste/cartel operation, people misunderstand what lawyers do. I have never worked inside a courtroom, I don’t argue cases. I work on massive teams spread out worldwide working on massive (mostly regulatory) matters.
BUT AT THE END OF THE DAY WE HAVE TO GET PAID OR IT’S NOT WORTH THE WORK.
For attorneys, time REALLY IS money and we have to weigh the value of spending an hour doing work where payment is speculative or way out into the future. For me, I just play it safe and do my thing. Which means representing swamp dwellers and helping them cover their wrongdoing. Zuckerberg, Google etc. I even worked on Gov Cuomo’s sexual misconduct defense team. Attorneys don’t judge our clients. Nobody calls a lawyer when it’s all sunshine and lollipops. We do dirty jobs. We’re fixers.
AI can be a hinderance OR it can be a massive breakthrough.
Magor”Changes” are Occuring. Decades in 1 Year.
Only 20% actually keep society functioning, but then the Elitists think it’s Them and then What are the “Solutions?”
Those that Choose the Jeffersonian model would in a Free Society be Free to Pursue their/our own Happiness.
Government at All Levels, Starting with The Feral DC must be severely Reduced.
Next comes the State Gov Bureaucracies. County governments may be tolerably controlled.
The Original Constitution is a starting point. The 17 th amendment must be eliminated.
“Mediocre” is the byword to describe most politicians, esp ones like Rubio. But MOST.
The discussion of preventing competition and wanting bigness is scary. They only have to make a couple of phone calls to control all commerce. They do not want small business…. Closed small businesses during Covid, closed Churches……let the big stores stay open. Let shop lifting run rampant and force the closure of more small stores.
Too Big To Fail has been ignored. Big businesses, big banks, big ag, big Pharma, big oil , big tech etal NEED TO BE BROKEN UP INTO COMPETITIVE PIECES.
Small businesses are the next generation of big businesses.
Correct. But when they become Too Big To Fail they need to be broken up into competitive pieces.
The Communications Revolution began when Ma Bell gave birth to her Baby Bells.
Google controls 90% of searches. Anything of importance gives me only results from news sources I would never read. It has gotten worse since AI. Breaking Google Search into pieces will sooner or later allow me to get information from sources “I trust” .
Another way of circumventing Big __________ is to build alternate people to people systems and simply move around those dinosaurs.
We can productively talk in these terms now since Trump won. I hope he dismantles entire sections of the economy.
It’s at least half straight up fraud. Nobody is doing anything (inluding the managers and executives) and the whole system is built to keep everybody nice and dry under the company umbrella while the shareholders get fleeced simply because none of the personnel WANT to operate more cheaply or efficiently, because efficiency gives them nothing to hide behind and exposes the whole sham.
That is MOST of my industry. Across the board.
I work with giant consulting firms that have hundreds or thousands of mid six figure MBAs bloating the org chart.
WHAT DO THESE CONSULTANTS CONSULT ABOUT, IF NOT THIS?? DO NONE OF THEM SEE THESE FUTURE TRENDS? THEN WHAT VALUE DO THEY HAVE?
They aren’t just discussing it. The Government under the Commies are literally directing our money to their select people. It’s pure Communist and Maxist BS. People who are shadowbanned on Meta apps are being targeted and it’s also a form of interfering in commerce, since they don’t get the reach they would otherwise have for both personal growth and marketgrowth for selling. The Biden Regime is running the largest Racketeering operation we have ever seen.
That’s why Kamala is happy and silent ; her plans are to be an elitist with all the campaign funds she siphoned off .
Uh, at the moment she’s neither happy nor silent.
See what sundance posted on her a couple days ago.
She’s depressed, drunk, and incoherently babbling.
This is, of course, is good news!
Didn’t watch the whole thing. Where is this discussion in time? (thanks)
Let shop lifting run rampant and force the closure of more small stores
Clarion call for 2025:
“Make Crime Illegal Again”
I’m currently shadowbanned on Instagram since posting support for Trump’s win.
Zuckerberg is a snake….. he’s been shadowbanning Trump himself since 2015.
And now he’s trying to worm his way in to Trump’s good graces. I hope he’s kept at a distance, although with 3 billion users, Facebook/Meta will be hard to deep distant. But I agree with you on Zuck’s snake metaphor.
I’m sure his future ownership of Meta can be investigated relating to election interference and racketeering/collusion with Democrats for blocking some of the american peoples’ interstate commerce on the platform.
Trump will take him up. Zuck may be of use in the future and he’s nice to have in your back pockets. Zuck knows to keep his head on a swivel because with a friendly DOJ that’s not still under Obama’s shadow control, Trump can basically snap his fingers and Mark would find himself facing an antitrust battle HE IS CERTAIN TO LOSE.
I watched the whole thing!
Very informative.
I hope to get time to listen during some yard work today…
Do you already have that figured out?
I browse the internets with wireless bluetooth headphones on, and it’s convenient for walking to the kitchen to prep food or wash dishes while listening
For outdoor yard work, you’d probably need to boost the signal, maybe via a wireless router … I think my headhones are bluetoothing just to my laptop computer, not running thru the router, which probably has more range
The Dem leadership are trained, doctrinaire C0mmunists
Yet he’s a lifelong Democrat.
And How! (As the little rascals used to exclaim!)
The Democrat’s have constructed their own Evil Empire, as the DEI States. We need PDT to destroy it!
He seems to be gearing red-pilled. I hope it’s more than temporary pragmatism.
Damn. I remember using Mosaic.
Must have been the mid eighties or b4, all text back then and no spyware like today.
1992 or so, as I recall it. Marc was working at National Center for Supercomputing Applications at the University of Illinois at the time.
That’s where HAL 9000 was built, iirc.
There was a side road in Urbana east of campus that had a makeshift HAL sign. I never went down there to see if there was a marker down there.
Area_Man: Yes, it’s been that long! Speaking of time, I have not received a free AOL disc in the mail, lately.
I used them for target practice.
Alta Vista, anyone?
1992 or so… I was on the internet in the late 80’s and it was strictly command line “surfing” to get around.
CompuServe and The Source.
I could get into our Sun Unix system remotely with a PC and run Lynx from the command line, but at the time WAIS and Gopher were more useful. In the office I had an X11 terminal and could run Mosaic there. They came out with things like Hummingbird to emulate X11 on PCs but I think that concept was ahead of its (hardware) time.
I believe Mosaic later became the Netscape browser.
and then on to Firefox.
Firefox via Phoenix. I was big on OS/2 and when Warp was released by IBM they had an in-house developed browser included. But by Warp v4 time they gave up on that and instead delivered the OS with Netscape which later became Communicator with email (and eventually SeaMonkey).
Talks rather fast? You think?
The AI stuff bothers me, but there’s no stopping it. You will have the Mark, and It will know if you don’t.
I listen to all of it its awesome
really smart guy former Democrat
He still is a Democrat – He would like to see them realign to the center. This is push.
The Democrats would have been cheering in the streets if Trump had been assassinated, and rubbing in their “victory” and trying to press us under their thumbs, and our side would eventually escalated. There would have been a real problem with civil unrest going forward.
THE DEMOCRAT PARTY ARE SNAKES AND WE NEED TO INVESTIGATE THE “OUR DEMOCRACY” JUNTA. THAT WHOLE OPERATION WAS A WEB OF FELONIES UPON FELONIS UPON TREASON.
It’s Serpent Weather.
And had Trump lost, he would be imprisoned & Elon/Vivek would be bankrupted. Only God knows what else would have been foisted on us.
Ah yes, but Democracy would have ben saved…
I tried yesterday to listen to that guy in this, and between his rapid fire delivery, very strange ( creepy ) inhalations while being “close mic’d” and I couldn’t do more.
Ten minutes confirmed my suspicions and I have concluded that billionaire’s are, well – “different”.
reed: I remember when he had hair and just got out of college.
He is creepy to be sure. I cannot imagine sitting down for a beer or dinner w/him.
Well, he certainly had people crawling to him begging for startup/investor money….
It seems to me his marked inhaling is a tic he has to emphasize that point he has just made and and to essentially add ‘PERIOD’, a bit like Gutfield.
Yes, it is creepy. It is also a way of implying ‘I have spoken and concluded wisely.’ I can imagine that Andreessen — especially coupled with his wealth and position –has used this tic to significant effect thousands of times.
I’m just 4 minutes in and heard something profound: the news cycle is a 2 to 3 day social media firestorm, we have the memory of gold fish.
I agree with this, there’s just too much information and ability to specialize. People are overwhelmed with information. Not everyone can deep dive like Sundance to connect dots.
Who’s “we,” kimosabe?
Lots of long memories here amongst the treepers.
Seems Andreessen was perfectly fine when the Obama’s thugs were censoring, punishing, debanking and going after Obama’s political foes. It only bothered Andreessen when *he* became a target.
Good point
“Andreessen was also a life-long democrat…,” he has no core political principles, he can change on a dime, whatever is best for Marc’s wallet.
Lawfare. As long as you toe the line, you are treated well. Go off with your own thoughts and you have to be punished. It punishes the person that steps forward but sends a message to those that might get ideas also.
Andreessen is speaking out now that Trump is President. DEI is dying now that Trump is President.
This guy is why most people perceive billionaires as being evil ; all his wealth comes from someone else’s labor . He cannot be trusted as he worships money and the power it brings .
Fascinating conversation!
‘Andreessen was also a life-long democrat…,” he has no core political principles, he can change back on a dime.
Exactly. These people are fair weather “friends” and they change their tune as often as they change their underpants
Ewwww. Ew. Ew.. Ew…. LOL. Actually I use that saying as well. And most people don’t know how to respond to that.
He still is a Democrat – He would like to see them realign to the center. This is push.
So when and how did the Democrats flip and change?
I think that stage one was when George W Bush won his 2nd term. The DEMS — the forever anointed defenders of civilization, humanity, etc. — went out of their f*ing mind wondering how could this happen. The answer they came up with was: MONEY. If only they had enough money they would be able to win elections, the way they should and needed.
Fast forward to Occupy Wall Street (2011). I do not have the ‘receipts’; but I do have the suspicion that OWS was resolved with ‘Wall Street’ agreeing to support OWS’s liberal projects (re: the Democrat Party) to some degree. After that, it was off to the races; and voila: in two election cycles we were well on the way to becoming a fascist/corporatists state, and the Democrat Party be the party of corporate interest and big money.
At the 20:00 point, Joe Rogan says he thinks that it would be a good idea for governance to be done by AI.
What they end up describing and discussing as they go past that point is a clear picture of how nonhuman decision-making and war will be implemented….and then they use words like it “has to be calibrated” (by whose parameters???) and that it has to be “rational” (by whose standards??)
Interesting how the concepts that are thrown around are beyond their own comprehension and yet are accepted as, apparently, being inevitable.
The things described in the Book of the Revelation (read chapter 1, verse 1 to see what that book is actually presenting—it is not “revelations”—it is A single Revelation) and what is written in Ezekiel and Daniel falls within the descriptions these guys are speaking.
Joe says, “We are very reluctant to say that something is demonic….” – No, Joe. YOU are reluctant to say that. I am not. Speak for yourself.
The Spirit of God is perfectly willing to instruct and reveal what is so in these things, and even without His direct teaching, the written Word of God is FULL of details regarding all of these things.
Alrighty then….wait for it to happen and Joe won’t think it’s so grand.
Just to acknowledge–I believe Abigail Straight’s reply has to do with only the first line of my comment, and my comment got longer as I was editing and still listening to them, so … I kept on responding to what I was hearing them say. I still type over 100 wpm in my old age, so it’s easy for me to get carried away.
Open source. Full public audit & review…
All of this reminds me of Issac Asimov’s fiction on robots, with their “three laws” preventing them from harming humanity, and many stories including one in which a humanoid robot was elected by an unwitting populace.
Asimov was a lefty globalist (very much globalist) who had extremely pie-in-the-sky utopian ideas that AI (built into a robot) was going to be so much better than people that it needed to rule us.
But even he had a survival instinct, embodied in the three laws, that humans needed to be in ultimate charge of the robots.
The laws are as follows:
(1) A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
(2) A robot must obey the orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law.
(3) A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law.
Asimov later added another rule, known as the fourth or zeroth law, that superceded the others. It stated that a robot may not harm humanity, or, by inaction, allow humanity to come to harm.
Trained here by sundance and Suspicious Cat, the question immediately occurs to me:
How is”harm” defined by the robot? Is “wrongthink” included?
Or, in other words – the devil always has a “gotcha” in there somewhere…
It’s an interesting thought experiment, and such thought experiments are often how new technologies begin to be implemented. We already use AI in medical labs, the finance sector, and elsewhere. It’s not perfect, but it’s still more precise than humans alone. Why not make similar tools for use in government work?
I didn’t get the impression he was talking about using it as a tool, but I suppose he was…and I completely misunderstood what he was saying. My apologies.
So, yes. Let’s use AI in all levels of government. As a tool.
Nothing could possibly go wrong.
Especially if we have the right people establishing the rationale for all of it, and doing the calibrating and such. Sounds good.
Thank you.
If you’ve seen a long list of AI “demos”, you’ll see that they devolve to the negative. The most recent was the blatant exclamation that the student asking an AI a question should be killed off. Google quickly tried to dismiss that and said they’d modify the parameters to prevent that from happening again. ONLY NOW???
I’m also reminded of the Air Force experiment where they used AI to carry out a mission to destroy, but being held back by a human controller. In the experiment, it went back and killed the operator of the drone, to remove the resistance that kept it from performing its mission. THAT was not expected!
An old quote I recall from Babylon 5, was “If you’re going to give someone a gun, you damn well better know where they’re going to aim it.”
Thank you. The common sense observation in your first paragraph is precisely what I had in mind.
The article I have saved, “Is AI mentioned in the Bible?”, which I was looking for is lost among my many bookmarks, alas.
But in searching for it on my browser I fell upon this one.
The reason I am placing it here is that it encompasses comments on this tool by someone who is the face of the WEF. A man who personifies evil incarnate….Yuval Noah Harari.
Here is a person (???) whom I consider to be a handmaiden to satan himself.
It’s a short piece but Harari’s excitement about how ” elites” in whose hands AI would be in part used to continue their work of destroying God’s creation is illuminating and more than disturbing. God’s warning ignored, which is indeed mentioned in the Bible (Deuteronomy 4:2, Revelation 22:18-19).
Just to add to the conversation…
https://cbn.com/news/world/world-economic-forum-contributor-says-ai-could-rewrite-bible-create-correct-religions
Not wanting or even faintly qualified to start a discussion in this direction…
…but here goes…
I have heard it opined on a podcast or two that AI itself is the AntiChrist.
Came this close, steph, to adding that…
Perhaps not “The”, but certainly I can believe it is an ” an”…as there are many.
True! They are Legion.
Particularly for reviewing the budget and getting rid of duplications and idiotic spending.
It’s good for Medical, Financial, Government…OK. lets all get on a big Boeing Airliner without a pilot. I’m sure Al has all the data it needs. Why even bother with a pesky human. Two more seats up front to sell. Who will be the first to take that ride? 🤔
Google has a piece on Gemini AI. How revolutionary it is. The second video clip has Gemini going through 200,000 research papers and showing only 250 have what the researcher is looking to understand. Gemini then culls those for the pertinent information. What would Gemini come up with now going through 200,000 papers written on how bad CO2 is for the environment? And we know that CO2 is good for plants. Gemini would come up with articulate nonsense.
AI’s answers depend on how you ask the question. My brother is an IT guy who is all in on man-made Climate Change, to the point of buying a a Ford F-150 Lightning pickup truck. He was asking AI questions to prove that man is responsible for rising sea levels and global warming, and the answers seemed to corroborate his views. I then asked AI if CO2 increased from it’s current level of 420 PPM to 1000 PPM, would the effects be harmful or helpful to life on the planet Earth. It’s answer was that it would have a mostly positive effect, much to my brother’s chagrin! I told him that ocean are already the world’s largest carbon sink, absorbing about 30% of all CO2 emissions from human activities, which he didn’t know. Just to make sure, I asked AI and was told that was correct. There’s a great article in American Thinker titled Oh, that pesky carbon dioxide!
My buddy is a Google AI senior engineer. He let me test some questions against their latest AI. Me being a CPA and knowing of some pretty deep tax code, I asked a very important question about the R&D tax credit. It gave me the “logical” answer most of us would believe is correct, but the answer was completely and totally incorrect. And I told him how and why it was incorrect.
He thanked me and said they still have a lot of work to do. Okie Dokie bud was my response.
Goverment doesn’t DO anything. It produces new ‘rules’ that magically become Laws for the serfs and only the serfs.
I wonder if he would have said that early on, given what Marc had to say later, with the “remaining” AI models having negative bias.
Good wondering, Brandons Ghost.
Where we stand now is Governance by AI programmed by Communists. The people that write the algorithms that cannot explain what a women is, push global warming/climate change are not intelligent. It is propaganda. The left wants AI to be god. What it will be is Satan.
One point I found interesting was about high fructose corn syrup. It was promoted by the USDA because it would use the abundance of US grown corn which was given government subsidies.
“It was a poisonous decision.”
The natural corn itself is good for humans to eat.
Unfortunately many human digestive systems have developed allergies to natural corn by the combination of it in processed foods with HFCS.
A person who eats mostly clean normal food would have no trouble digesting natural corn for sustenance. But they have screwed that up…
I have no allergies. I used to, before I cut out refined sugar and HFCS in all its forms over a decade ago.
Listening to J Rogan & along the way I see Substack is catching up w/Sundance & rules of posting Amazing!
Substack is, at least for the moment, a mostly free thought place.
I just wish I had time to follow more of the intelligent people who write there.
cross posted at https://freedomaustralia.freeforums.net/thread/6377/joe-rogan-interviews-marc-andreessen
Rogan: “So what do you do after hearing all that?”
Andreessen: “Well, you support Donald Trump!”
.
LOL
.
I take issue with the comments that our soldiers are using Chinese drones. Yes as far as the basic hardware, because our American companies are price gouging, and maybe (maybe) in innocuous field practice. No, as far as the operating systems, which are stripped completely out and substituted with military approved systems.
.
I’m not so sure of that. I’ve seen warnings and alerts by high level military officials to the effect that they’re VERY concerned about the reporting back that these drones do, particularly in battlefield areas, or covert bases/operations.
Look, the chinese model is to make everything SOOOOO darn convenient at a cheap price, that security takes a back seat. And now they’re understanding the infosecurity tension endemic in that industry of “security vs convenience”. With a recent story out that a Zoom conference call was disrupted because of trash talking of the chinese govt. during the call.
.
What they “can” do, or “could” do. Yes it’s the subject of talks.
But the problem is that commanders attempting to purchase American-made drones are being subject to the same nincompoop bureauocrat contract negotiations with American companies doing their usual to rip off the taxpayer. I’ve seen prices quoted of ten times higher than Chinese hardware.
So right now the solution -IS- that the Chinese operating systems are stripped out and replaced with approved software.
By the way, not totally dissimilar issues with cell phones…
.
didn’t strip the hardware…
Speaking of pretending and non pretending. Joe Rogan pretended for years and years. I used to tell my nephew this years ago. I said this guy knows what’s up it drives me nuts he just doesn’t get it out there. He said he does I said not even close. Not what really matters. Least he got on board the last minute. I don’t’ hate Rogan he just made my blood boil when shit was bad and didn’t’ help the country then. He waited till it was almost too late. He no doubt was a pretender turned to a non pretender ( For now? Let’s see how the wind blows) and I welcome that even forgive him. Then again it’s safe now to not pretend now that ULTRA MAGA clearly out numbered the left wing lunatics even pre election.
Well, there’s MAGA, and there’s ULTRA MAGA.
They are not the same. But we need everyone clocking as MAGA – until they don’t.
I met Marc at a trade show ages ago. Probably 1995 or so. I know him about as well as Julius Erving (Dr. J) and Fran Tarkenton, who I also met at a trade show. Also had a tech support phone call with Michael Dell once, before he didn’t do that sort of thing anymore. LOL
How to get disinvited to meetings – tell a senator the truth and undermine all the crap that upper level management was saying.
Or constantly explain truth and logic to everyone above you in the chain of a big corporation… politely and with humor…
…which ten years ago, gets you singled out for early retirement – luckily that was fine with me!
“interesting discussion” ……….. in a non-Christian, non-Constitutional Republic kind of way.
My thoughts along that same line…
And after hearing the disingenuous conversation about the Chinese ‘spy balloons’ slipping past and transversing our country “without detection”, I couldn’t listen to more of same…
Just want to be done with these pretend people that pose on ‘host shows’ – as on the ball, intelligent, front of the line bringers of information to the masses.
And yet they can’t see what’s clearly all a piece of the evil government sanctioned actions that have been working diligently to destroy our country – for the past eight, if not 100 years, plus.
Too many commenters here are down on the guy because he was a lifelong Democrat, or they can’t stand his manner of speaking.
If they would listen to the entire interview, as I and others have, they would learn the good reasons that he ended up endorsing Trump.
He also provides information that shows where we were headed if president Trump had not won re-election.
I can’t see having a working brain and voting democrat much beyond the age of 25.
Marc said what I have always thought: what the heck is an NGO? They should GO! !!!! Nothing “non government about them!
Federal employees didn’t come back or if they did one day a month after Covid
Yet were paid full time
This is why Musk says you come to work everyday or you go work somewhere else
Where else do they do no show jobs? Normally that’s an organized crime operation.
You said a mouthful there!
If he is taken out, his enemies can count their lives in minutes.
I listened to the whole i terview. It was well worth the listen. I now completely understand why silicon valley, Tulsi and RFK Jr supported Trump and what DOGE is all about. This guy does talk fast, but he has a complete understanding of Trump policies and how far left Biden and dems have gone.
Well worth the listen.
I feel like I’m back in college watching a dude high on weed talking with a guy hopped up on coke.
Nailed it.
”Wowww! That’s crazzzzy!”
These comments are making me look forward even more to listening to this thing (with luck, later today).
I live in blueMA, home of what one statistician claimed are the fastest talkers in any state.
The more we know as to the evil designs of these lawless and depraved individuals in the progressive D party, the more it feels fortunate to have dodged this bullet, but tyranny is just one election away. These guys won’t go anywhere. Biden was just a puppet but the people behind him, including the “blob” are still out there and biding their time. “It’s a republic, if you can keep it” never sounded so prescient.
This guy is creating creditable denial. Joe feigns being shocked. Musk isn’t just going after the little guy
Joe Rogan needs to start following George Webb.

Whoa! I think I know where Elon and Vivek need to start.
Debanking got a bit better known when Canada debanked the rebellious truckers, but I had no idea that crypto and other startups were hit like this.
Warren’s personal-fiefdom agency should indeed be very high on the DOGE list.
He never blinks!
I think it may be Blackout Coffee. He’s steamrolling.
Billionaires Bill Ackman, Marc Andreessen, and Travis Kalanick are reportedly getting involved in DOGE

Andreessen and Debanking:
So JP Morgan and Blackrock control what happens.
So what if one of them had a conscience and said to the Deep State, “Ukraine is just too risky, we will not loan money or invest.”
The government tells JPMorgan and Blackrock to make a bunch of subprime loans with no money down on homes the buyer cannot afford. So what if they said, “No. that is just too risky.”
What politicians excel at doing is putting the blame for failure on someone other than themselves. The Republicans have controlled the House for 2 years and we have not had a budget or cut one dollar in spending.
When the Deep State said you must have huge DEI Departments, what if Walmart said, “No DEI is an extra cost that our customers cannot bear, we have to hire the best qualified.”
When the Deep State said you must spy on your customers, what if Google said, “No, we cannot let you spy on our customers’ search or emails.”
When those of you that hate banksters and big business go looking for the root cause of the problem, you won’t find it in the City of London, you will find the root cause in either Washington DC or Beijing.
When the Deep State said you must have huge DEI Departments, what if Walmart said, “No DEI is an extra cost that our customers cannot bear, we have to hire the best qualified.”
Don’t look now, but Robby Starbuck just got them to do exactly that!
His biggest Woke Corporation scalp to date. The guy is a force for meritocracy!
He likes it best when he doesn’t even have to expend the effort (Bud Light and now Jaguar).
The discussion of election night and the Hispanic waiter who breaks into the conversation to defend Trump and explain his immigrant father’s adamant support for Trump is impassioned and spot on. Immigrants need to assimilate to find success. (50:00 mark). Very honest assessment.
My two cents,
AI cannot conquer space.
Do not allow it to conquer the space…
The space between your ears.
It is written, by God,
“We are more than conquerors”
Trust God. Fear not.
Thanks for this interview with Marc Andreessen. It appears Joe Rogan learned a lot too.
This is Very Informative!!!
But is still a Discussion on the 1st (Amendment) Level.
The “Deplorables” are pre-pared for the 2nd Level and can execute on this level as Garbage Men to the Deep Statists.
The Lord may forgive them/their but Me/We/You will not, They have No Idea of the Hell awaiting Them.
President Trump is “A” 4star General but not the America 1st “Populace” Army.
The Bolshevik NWO Rats Will Perish for another 100 years…..
Excellent conversation.
Good interview! Thanks Sundance.
After listening to Andreeson (talks fast is an understatement), it is clear to me that the communist have a foothold in our government and economy. I didn’t realize they were so entrenched until he started talking about debanking.
Not just a foothold. A body slam.
Communists are now the entire body of the Blob, except for our MAGA people now moving into positions of authority.
I picture them as Pizza the Hut from Spaceballs.
This will be what I listen to today when I drive to work today!!
“Emotional Incontinence” what a great term!
Blue sky, is now “Blue Cry”,..,love it.
I thought Netscape was the name of the browser and Mosaic was the company name.
As one that has bled the ground, I find Marc’s eloquent verbage on war fighting, with no practical experience, quite inlighting. Clearly, Marc missed out on meeting the adult community which raised me.
Thank you, Sundance!
Wasn’t going to listen to this interview simply because the guest is one of those Silicon Valley people.
This interview has completely softened my hard-lined distrust of every single Silicon Valley entrepreneur; there is hope that this nation can indeed be saved by the citizens ourselves with the leadership of President Trump, the freer-speech platforms of both X and Rumble, blog sites such this, a real Last Refuge, our country just might make it into a second 250 year celebration!
Thanks for sharing this interview.
This is probably the 4th time now I have recommended this interview here at CTH. It is very much along the lines of this interview with Marc.
Peter Thiel also sings the praises of Elon for stepping up and having the cahones to endorse President Trump and go all in, despite the fact that Elon and his companies might not come out of it alive if we didn’t achieve Too Big To Rig. It gave the other tech titans the permission to Come Aboard.
He also praises President Trump’s policies, much to the surprise of Bari Weiss, the interviewer, and explains them in great detail whenever necessary.

The best podcast I’ve listened to in “forever”. I grew up in Silicon Valley and I remember how it used to be. It was like an exciting brain trust for new ideas and everyone participated. At some point, Silicon Valley was taken over by the Left and I became disgusted. I was happy to leave. This podcast was like listening to a Silicon Valley, very wealthy, entrepreuner “come to Jesus” and become a Trump supporter because of the overreach and abuse of government. Very articulate, smart, and speaking truth bombs.
He explains how the whole de-banking thing happened (and can still happen), the consolidation of the big banks, etc. The A.I. discussion was very interesting. He describes how our government has been acting like a communist cartel (my words, not his). He is correct. It’s so good to hear him talking common sense and recognizing how far gone our government is.
I believe the DHS Critical Infrastructure program is simply a means to spy on internal comms and workings and servers in order to blackmail and coerce the very institutions and companies and people they are alleged to be protecting.
