President Donald Trump has announced Scott Bessent as nominee for U.S. Treasury Secretary. The Secretary of Treasury implements tax policy, manages the nation’s debt, leads financial regulators, monitors and executes sanctions and conducts economic diplomacy. While the U.S. trade representative takes the lead on tariffs, the Treasury secretary typically plays a key role advising on that issue as well.

Bessent (62) is a hedge Fund manager, the founder of investment firm Key Square Capital Management. Despite supporting President Trump early, he has faced criticism for working as the CIO at George Soros’s Soros Fund Management from 2011 to 2015. He lives in Charleston, S.C.
Via NBC – […] Bessent has advised Trump to pursue a “3-3-3” policy: cutting the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product by 2028, spurring GDP growth of 3% through deregulation, and producing an additional 3 million barrels of oil or its equivalent a day.
He has suggested that Trump’s tariff threats are a negotiating strategy aimed at extracting concessions from other countries. “My general view is that at the end of the day, he’s a free trader,” Bessent told the Financial Times last month. “It’s escalate to de-escalate.” (read more)

There are a slew of appointments tonight…many of them are not good. Some awful. This one (Bessent) is suspicious given the Soros ties and Hedge Fund world view…we will see.

Yes, we have faith!
Sundance has correctly swung into high gear on the Bondi nomination – he’s working hard in his area of expertise so Trump doesn’t get blind sided again. I’m sure he’s right that President Trump probably doesn’t know her background.
He’s right over the target with the attack vectors Mrs. Bondi is exposed to. She’ll go along thinking she’s MAGA till they threaten her in her compromised position, then she’ll immediately do whatever they want, looking out for herself only, before she’s done one bit of good- she won’t fight – leaving all the good people like Rudi Giuliani that have been abused for the last four years still out in the wilderness being persecuted by a corrupt department of injustice.
The effectiveness of the Administration all boils down to the AG, IT’S THE TEETH OF THE ADMINISTRAION. Why do you think we haven’t had a strong AG in forty years since Edwin Meese.
Did Edwin Meese have teeth?
He had a mortgage from a CIA bank run by that Russia Russia Russia Stephan Halpern guy
He was known at the time as “the lightning rod”
I was too young to pay attention to less than the top positions in government; however I remember is was staunchly, frequently criticized and was highly controversial. I don’t know why though.
Trump has worked with her for years. She has stood with him and that is probably his primary concern at this point.I am not a fan of Bondi but in thinks she will follow his directives.
Guess you forgot the notorious moslem sodomite’s wang Holder, Eric…
Don’t forget to Cup the balls, Eric…with your neat moustache…
Trump has been working with Bondi for years now. He knows her better than anyone here, including Sundance. It appears Trump trusts her.
Innocent George Zimmerman remembers Bondi
The AG serves at the pleasure of the President. If Ms. Bondi starts favoring the Deep State, since President Trump just won a second term in a landslide, he will have no reason not to fire her
Trump waited 2 years to fire Sessions, and then hired Barr and would not fire Barr.
Hear, Hear.
Too many “Chicken Littles” in this tree house.
Sundance has turned into one as far as I can see
Perspective:
Life is a like one way road with a ditch on each side.
Veer too far to the left, you are in the ditch…
Veer too far to the right, you are in the ditch…
Trust God. Fear not
It’s just that we’ve seen President Trump back stabbed by his hires before! So naturally you’d expect him to take more precautions this time.
Insulting your host is never a good look just saying
I think we come to the comments for some perspective and on-the-other-hand discussion after reading SD’s brimstoned articles.
All I care about is shutting that damned border and stopping the caving in to the idiot culture progs. I dont expect a whole lot beyond that.
Shut the border, deport them all including the DACA dreamers, is the first order of business.
Preventing health care from becoming tyrannical again is the second.
Opening up energy resources and deregulating businesses is third.
Sorry – tearing down the two-tiered justice system is number 2, after the border !
I’d say he’s apprehensive.

Yep.
Don’t confuse disappointment with despair. A few disappointing appointments expressed here doesn’t mean the poster has given up on President Trump in despair! I’ve posted that the Bondi appointment was disappointing but I’m still on board President Trump’s freedom train! I hope and pray I’m wrong about her. But President Trump only has 4 years to work his magic wand, the one Barack Hussein obama said he didn’t have! There has been so much damage to the country in the last 4 years it won’t be overcome in my lifetime! So every second, minute and hour is precious and must be used to the maximum to restore our Constitutional Republic! JMO Godspeed President Trump!!!
Those of us in the USA🇺🇸🇺🇸
compare him to our President Grover Cleveland
who was our 22nd and 24th President.
He lost his bid for reelection in 1888 but ran
again and regained the Presidency in 1893.
We don’t have to use Napoleon.🥴😵💫🥴
🇺🇸 🇺🇸 America First🇺🇸🇺🇸
Cleveland was the only Democrat President after the Civil War until Woodrow Wilson in 1912, and what a train wreck WW was!
If he betrays MAGA, he will be “You’re fired”!
He and they dare not cross us.
MAGA!
Trump is a great campaigner
When is comes to staffing not so much
With his track record Trump wouldn’t survive as scout for a community college football team
It still appears we elected Susie Wiles
I’m trying to read people, I think it’s confusion in values, Scott is openly gay, so many are wondering if we’re actually Christian valued or Bible valued, or just do what you want valued, whatever, my take is that once you lose respect for someone based on their values, it’s gone, that’s it. Family stuff has made me know this.
always been that way here, only certain posts are valued
Successful hedge fund managers are some of the most knowledgeable financial gurus in the business. One doesn’t manage billions of dollars to turn high profits w/o knowing the future of the economy. They are very forward looking and have to always try to be ahead of changes in the economy.
This May be the smartest Treasury SEC. Ever.
He’s been a big Trump backer for years.
That is reassuring.
What Trump has stated is quite clear to me “maintaining global reserve currency” “energy dominance”. You know exactly what that means, and is a 3 letter word.
Oil.
LNG.
so lets keep Yellen
The time with Soros is not bothersome. He brings with him an insight to the old coot. Like Drukenmiller would. Everyone that could, wanted to work in Soros shop, even if it was in the tale end of time. Just to see what and how he was doing it.
I am intrigued by this.
You might be the only one intrigued by evil. It oozes from his pores and empty eye sockets. At least Satan was a beautiful angel.
A general does want somebody who’s been in the enemy camp, and knows the cutting edge of the industry.
What I find interesting is the guy has chops as a trader. How many government banking officials worked in the actual business of banking?
I was living in Britain when then Chancellor Norman Lamont was facing the Soros team (of which Bessent was a key player) betting the Britain would be ejected from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism.
We watched as interest rates climbed higher and higher that night, finally reaching 15% for one brief, terrifying moment before it was through and they finally sank. As we had a mortgage, believe me, it was quite frightening.
My best recollection is that Soros cleaned up on that bet to the tune of one billion dollars.
That’s when I first learned of Soros and the type of person he was and remains.
Here is a brief article, if anyone is interested, about that ignominious chucking out of the Brits from the ERM, something which cost the Tories their reputation for fiscal and monetary prudence.
A”safe pair of hands” no longer.
(Sorry to have post this link from that far FAR left rag “The Guardian”, but it is accurate.)

Another stellar pick, Scott Bessent, by Donald Trump.
LOL. You should research more, this guy is excellent.
Agreed! He understands EXACTLY how to get us out of the mess we are presently in….EXACTLY. The economy will be humming like a well tuned machine within 12 months if you just let this guy do his job.
Yep, just like he saved Britain for Soros, making Soros a billionaire to boot, when he got England ejected from the European Exchange Rate Mechanism…
Bannon loves the guy who is always on his show.
Add CFR to mix. 😵💫🥴
We will see…..
🤷♀️ 💁 🤷♀️
Remember that President Trump was a card carrying Democrat for years. As was Robert F. Kennedy Jr. For that matter, as was Ronald Reagan.
Much as we owe him respect and appreciation, what is being executed is not President Trump’s plan, any more than what occurred in the time of Moses and King David was their personal plan. It was always God’s.
Kyle Bass likes Bessant. That’s all I need.
Bessant is a former Democrat but then so was Donald Trump and we all know how that is going down.
If you read books by or about Jim Rogers, Stanley Druckenmiller and Scott Bessant – all Republicans and all famous managers of Soros’ money you realize they are the smartest people on the planet. when it comes to finance and markets. I have read (3) Soros books about finance. He is as brilliant as he is evil but I suggest strongly to learn as much about our enemies as you can.
I detest Soros, but I have read his books and the books by or about these three guys along with countless commentary and interviews.
The fact that Kyle Bass likes him is telling. If you don’t know who he is, well he hates Communist China and says so on Financial TV all the time. He’s also wicked smart.
Ramaswamy got a Soros scholarship. So what. He’s MAGA now.
Bessant will do a better job at Treasury than the other proposed nominees. Not even close.
Interesting comment…
Why not Howard Lutnick?
Another 5-6 nominees on President Trump’s Truth Social account.
Labor Secretary, HUD, advisor (Gorka), national security advisor, etc.
All I see is payback for loyal followers without great consideration as to whether they’ll do a great job or not, it’s how life goes, you can’t change it, I think Gorka will now get two government pensions, it’s all set up that way, local politicians do it every single day here in PA, collect multiple pension from different districts, while the people sit around screaming about not a big enough raise in SS to cover the cost of living increase. It’s all a game and you’re not in it.
Huh.
To be honest Im out in the weeds with all of his recent picks.
I dont understand many of them at this point.
Im not going to doom and gloom, but I can say, quite frankly, Im befuddled at many of them.
Maybe Im missing something. I dont know anymore. Im pretty good at the game of chess.
I dont see the 3, 4 or 5 D chess moves.
And y’all know, I speak my mind. Come what may. People can like or not like my opinion. The facts and truth dont care about others feelings. As our host quite often says….
Im not seeing the upside, or seeing the deals perhaps being made.
Sorry, but I just dont get it.
I concur. I thought it was 3d chess, SD made great sense in some of the ideas like gaetz gets Senate seat. But now it feels like diddly winks. See where the chips fall…
But im pretty basic. I dont always see the long game, but here im not even seeing the short game.
Gaetz out of Congress.
Right. That didn’t feel like a 3d chess move.
We traded McCarthy for Mike Johnson and lost Gaetz in the process. Not a good trade at all!
Gaetz was used as a distraction, for what, IDK. However, I will not underestimate DJT
It’s not a short or long game. It’s just a game and we are all getting played.
President Trump is the best player we have. But he continues to pick bad teammates.
Sundance has an uncanny ability to accurately see and disseminate the big picture.
And his loyalty is to God and the truth first, Country and family second.
Sundance supports Trump because Trump represents the best chance at restoring and defending the above. Not because Sundance worships Trump and thinks Trump is infallible.
He (Sundance) will have much to say when the dust of the moment begins to clear and some clarity is to be had.
Let us all pray that the deals Trump must make over these next weeks won’t wind up being the downfall of everything we hope for.
AMEN to that Landslide
Well, if it’s any consolation, one of the Twelve Disciples didn’t exactly work out. But he turned out to be part of a bigger plan. Peace to all!
There is that.
I cannot argue that point. That is true.
I guess its simply, I could be jumping to conclusions…
I usually just sit back and read, watch, listen, and try to see the facts as they are.
I always defer to Sundance and his opinions. And what PDJT does, rather than says.
The dust has to settle, I cant argue that point either.
Im simply frustrated. Bondi and Rubio bother me, greatly.
We shall see what happens. Anything is better than the Cackler and the Communist’s. That is for sure.
Rubio does NOT bother me, it got him out of the chair of the Senate’s intelligence group, where he operated in secret into the State department, where Trump will know what he is doing and be able to manage him.
Losing Gaetz is a big problem, IMHO. Bondi is another big problem. I can wait and see on Bessant and some others.
You are not alone in feeling puzzled, and even concerned, about some of the picks that DJT is making (or NOT making) and I personally think it is okay to say so! We are not monolithic in our thinking and I appreciate the opportunity to discuss the things that we are seeing and to ask questions without being judged or branded as “disloyal”. There continue to be people around the President who are, in my opinion, offering BAD advice, and since that is what stymied much of his first term, I think it is prudent to mention our concerns on this page, especially since it appears that members of his inner circle check in here on a semi-regular basis!
Hello, Bob. 😜
I keep hearing, “ MAGA” and “obliterate” the deep state; “they are scum”
AND
“I will never forecast my plans”
✝️❤️🇺🇸
Also, President Trump has said the US Dollar will be saved
and
The USA will control crypto
And:
Promises made
-promises kept
Stephen Miller was on Jesse Watters tonight. Just WOW! I wish you could have seen it–or maybe you did? He was on fire. It was so very uplifting to hear him speak with such conviction, excitement, and ENERGY about the cabinet appointments and their plans. He briefly referenced the teams behind the cabinet picks that are working behind the scenes to implement President Trump’s agenda right out of the gate. He specifically said that every single campaign promise will be kept. He of course refused to give details on some points, but they have confidence in their “picks” as well as the background people that are already hard at work.
I considered it an awesome interview and, for me, it quieted any doubts. President Trump certainly has his reasons for his appointments. He’s been through h3LL. He deserves my support and I’m all in.
What we need is results. So until he fails on a campaign promise, why does everyone have their hair on fire?
He made promises and kept them but Congress and the Deep State stopped ALL of it. So, did he really keep his promises in the end? It is debatable. I do love Stephen Miller and like him immensely since he was Session’s man.
Sorry I missed it! I’ve been a fan since President Trump’s first term. He wrote some fantastic speeches. I would say that the man nominated to run OMB (Russ Voght) is of that same ilk. Really smart! Sundance posted an interview of Voght with Tucker Carlson a few days back. Well worth the time if you missed it! Praise God!!! Fight! Fight! Fight!
Treeper, Chooseamerica, posted the Stephen Miller interview on today’s Prez Thread. First post on first page.
I plan to listen to the TC OMB interview today.
You aren’t alone, that’s for sure.
3-3-3? Can’t use 6-6-6, and 9-9-9 was already claimed.
69, 69, 69. lol
Given his skill at financially fking over other countries, I hope he doesn’t intend to fk over Trump, or we the people?
Mm. Unfortunately… or fortunately, depending on your viewpoint… the folks that are generally most qualified for positions like Treasury Secretary are people that are really good at making money, however necessary. You know… root of all evil, and all that…
I wish I had listened to the kids about Bitcoin a few years ago.
I for one support all of President Trump’s picks, and don’t forget that he won in a massive landslide. The DemocRats are trying to pick off his nominations one by one and I’m sure not going to join them in doing so and saying well I don’t like this one or I don’t like that one. Give the man a chance.
I supported and trusted his first presidency too. But many of his picks stymied him and if he noticed, he was incapable of replacing them (bill barr foremost in my mind)
Lawfare, national security gaslighting and a hostile CONgress had hogtied our President during his first term. He still managed to do a great job.
This time, however, the US Supreme Court has ruled: HANDS OFF the Executive Branch, (aka President Trump)! The office of the President is a no-go zone for all those DOJ and FBI “investigators.” They must keep their mitts out of Melania’s lingerie drawer!
That said, Congressmen are hesitant to support him, and that’s to put it mildly. There are very few who will take all those slings and arrows for us. They can take a hint, and they are not going to go there.
That is, not unless there’s something in it for them too. So President Trump is making it easier for these swamprats -who he must oblige somewhat- to rest easy with MAGA. The stigma has relaxed a bit as these big players dip their toes into MAGAnomics.
Let’s see where he’s taking this before we get into a snit. The man took a bullet in his ear not four months ago. Can we cut him some slack, please?
The bull in a china shop approach would certainly be entertaining, but he is the one in the coliseum with the lions circling. Realistically, President Trump can attract more CONgressmen to MAGA with a more nuanced approach. He knows the art of the deal.
If the swamp can make bank in MAGAnomics instead of WWIII, I for one am all for it!
Most here back President Trump strongly.
Superficially, Bondi doesn’t sound or act commanding. Sundance added her troubling Florida behavior. Sharp or brilliant people either don’t do that, or are idealogues.
(In the military world, Colonel Douglass McGregor speaks with confidence and depth.)
It doesn’t seem like she or Hegseth are up to battling the Swamp. I’d expect a legal veteran with major scalps under his/ her belt.
Trump’s economic picks have those types of proven track record, and gravitas.
The military recruitment problem is directly attributable to DEI and wokeness, and it’s hard to find a guy who’ll commit to doing away with that, changing the direction of the academies in the world of politics right now.
You see, while it looks as if DEI is back on its heels for the time being, all those people who came through public schools and private schools are STILL IN THE BUREAUCRACY or are people who feel pressure to be social justice warriors.
Pete will do fine if he can get the gig.
There’s a reason so many anti Trumps love Bondi including Mitt , they know anything she does will be instantly null and void because of her history of telling people to frame people and fabricating evidence .
So now we know that no prosecutions will ever be successful to start because of her history , that will be everybody’s get out of jail free card .
Wow you got it all figured out, Bravo.
Hegseth is a warrior and a patriot. You are lost.
I still remember all the crying when he picked JD Vance. I was hoping for a different pick for VP also, but I got over it and JD turned into an asset. I am willing to wait on some of these nominations as well.
I agree with you, 1-L90. See my comment to Bob, above. I’m all in with all the picks. If President Trump actually breaks a campaign promise, then I will shout to the rafters.
From his resume, I’d worry that he is a globalist in a sheep’s attire.
Bessent was the favorite by the Crypto crowd among the several names floated. He seems pretty loyal to President Trump, too.
It’s a win win for the Trump family. World Liberty Financial, Baakt . . .
I do not know whether it is a win win for humanity.
Can the trillionaires corner the market in Bitcoin? Have they?
Many questions. Direction unclear.
I’ve heard him weigh in on Bannon’s War Room a number of times regarding current and future states of the U.S. economy. He’s pretty consistent with the “cutting the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product by 2028, spurring GDP growth of 3% through deregulation, and producing an additional 3 million barrels of oil or its equivalent a day” stuff. So I’ll take his words at face value… until further notice…
Naw, a globalist’s goal would be….
force President to pursue a “30-30-30” policy: increasing the budget deficit to 30% of gross domestic product, inflate GDP growth 30% through massive regulations, and shut down 30% of US oil production.
Earlier this week, I heard Carol Roth on Glenn Beck’s radio program discussing Mr. Bessent.
Glenn was obviously worried about Bessent’s history with Soros, but Roth assured him that as evil as he is — Soros hires highly competent underlings.
She claimed that there was some cultural or political issue (unfortunately, I don’t remember exactly what) that Soros was going to support with lots of money that Mr. Bessent found objectionable — and to his credit, he organized a group of like-minded co-workers to confront Soros and they threatened to quit en masse if he continued supporting that cause. Soros backed down.
“there was some cultural or political issue (unfortunately, I don’t remember exactly what) that Soros was going to support with lots of money that Mr. Bessent found objectionable”
That would be everything Soros does. 😐
Glad Bessent left the dark side!
Apparently Soros was going to divest from Israel? I may have that wrong.
Complicated guy
https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/arts-letters/articles/the-george-soros-partner-who-disrupted-right-wing-publishing
Carol Roth was on Glenn Beck’s radio show a few days/couple weeks ago and told Glenn you would be hard pressed to find anyone with the credentials for this job who hasn’t had some involvement with Soros at some point in their career. She was not concerned and even calmed Glenn down about this.
“Bessent has advised Trump to pursue a “3-3-3” policy: cutting the budget deficit to 3% of gross domestic product by 2028, spurring GDP growth of 3% through deregulation, and producing an additional 3 million barrels of oil or its equivalent a day.”
I spent a career in industry and that’s much like our VPs “performance plans” read . Of course our performance plans were “pushed down” from those goals. Our pay, promotions and employment were dependent on meeting revenue, cost, growth and competitiveness goals.
Is that too much too ask from DOGE – to “incentivize” all federal employees to keep thier paychecks?
Bessent is 100% in alignment with Trump’s economic policies and Import Tariffs, even going to the effort of explaining them to those who don’t understand. I believe he’s a smart pick.
Now, Bondi is a completely different story!
If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em! We’re off to the races. Hang on for life!
I was not familiar with this other pick that recently came down:
A friend gave me the 411
Who Is Dr. Janette Nesheiwat, the Next Surgeon General?
Terrible pick.
She said “vaccines” are a “gift from God”.
She pushed triple masking.
Fox News and MSM likes her.
She lies about science.
She loves big pharma.
No No No. Trump needs to dump her out with the trash.
I can’t see RFK,Jr. staying at HHS more than six months with this rotten surgeon general pick. We know Trump has never repented of the Covid poison shots and with the horrible Janette Nesheiwat being surgeon general, Trump will be pushing poison shots on us the rest of his time in office.
This is her…uh oh… https://pbs.twimg.com/media/GdCHtemWcAAG-16?format=png&name=small
I think we have to trust the long game here. I know we’re tired, but I think there’s quite a way to go.
We don’t know everything. Maybe some things to expose the corruption. I don’t know.
So many picks I’ve loved, but some I’m really scratching my head on. Just praying that God will guide and protect him and our country.
Yup. At this point I have decided to put my feet up, grab a nice cigar with a fine bourbon and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
There isnt a lot I can do and I don’t have the inside info so I am going to trust that things are going to work out. How does that go again? Live your best life…or something like that.
The worst thing that could possibly happen is for Trump Nation to sit back and just trust that things will go well .
No way .
President Trump is planning to increase tariff revenue, and increasingly rely on it for revenue as well as economic leverage. Therefore Customs must be put back under Treasury. DHS is clueless about taxation (or just plain clueless).
As tariff rates are increased, so will fraud and duty evasion. The entire system of duty collection and trade enforcement will need to be rebuilt. This should be front and center.
btw. US history trivia: The creation of the Customs Service predates that of the Treasury Department.
Yes, like the Post Office…His Majesty’s Customs Service predates the American Revolution!
Worked for Soros? WTF???
Apparently soros was a seed investor in something he was involved with. He spoke out against soros saying the right needed its own soros
How good is Bessent if he’s already presupposing that Trump isn’t serious about the tariffs? Why would you let your opponents know that Trump’s using tariffs as a negotiating tactic?
Bet he’ll be surprised when tariffs’ gonna land.
Wrong take. He’s the opposite of what you claim.
https://www.breitbart.com/economy/2024/11/22/donald-trump-nominates-investor-scott-bessent-for-treasury-secretary/
President Trump has said the same thing. If the EU and China eliminated their tariffs on US imports he won’t charge them a tariff.
Extremely smart guy. Watched him on Bannon and he’s a winner. Another great choice!
MAGA
At least we know he won’t be wearing any of Janet’s old clothes, so there’s that. On the other hand, he’s a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
I thought this was a good pick….
BUT……
Reality is here on these limbs of our Treehouse these days, therefore:
Let the rantings and ravings begin. Don’t forget to belittle President Trump as much as possible, feel free to make up whatever accusation is necessary to complete your Friday Night rant at the Treehouse.
As for Me: I’m just happy that we have President Trump, his wonderful family, and his A-Team at the hull, taking on this heavy load to try and pull millions of people out of a losing reality today into a winning future within our lifetime.
Thank You God!
Thank you Sundance for providing this format and indulging Treepers during the ups and downs of political reality.
Thank you for putting into words what a lot of us are thinking.
I am grateful that Trump is at the helm. I still love his economic policies and choices. I am sorry to lose Gaetz. I think it is wise to be wary. Some of his picks are confusing at best. Wait and see what happens. He can only improve on Biden’s economic and international policies.
“Despite supporting President Trump early, he has faced criticism for working as the
CIO at George Soros’s Soros Fund Management from 2011 to 2015.”
Oh no … not another one …
I don’t trust Vivek either … for his involvement with George Soros’s brother and taking his money when he was already a millionaire and then tried to hide it. He accepted a $90,000 award from the Paul & Daisy Soros Fellowship for New Americans, which was founded by Daisy and Paul Soros, the late older brother of liberal billionaire financier George Soros in 2011.
In 2011, the same year he accepted the award, Ramaswamy reported $2,252,209 in total income, according to his tax returns, which he released in June. He reported a total of $1,173,690 in income in the three years prior.
Not only did he work for Soros … he’s GAY!
Yes, that will please some here but not us.
Scott Bessent and his “husband,” former New York City, prosecutor John Freeman, have two children.
So Scott is the “wife.”
If Trump really wants God’s blessing, and he has been blessed, this is one way to piss Him off.
Gd does not approve of these people. Sodom and Gomorrah is proof of that … but to many God’s word doesn’t matter …
SKILLS people, skills. Just because the guy had a really good job for Soros at some point in time doesn’t mean he’s a WEF clown. He has deep and wide skills and we need that.
It will take at least two to three years to see the effects of policies. One key as mentioned is oil. Hopefully two years we will see improvements. Farming needs fertilizer costs to come down and that will lower food costs. That will take longer. This current administration has destroyed farming not only in the fuel fertilizer issues but their destruction of millions of animals. The cost to raise animals is extremely high. The created bird flu as well as suspicious plant fires and recalls. Lastly downsizing government will take at least two years to have any noticeable effect. Day one he should put in a hiring freezes in the agencies that need to be reduced or eliminated. Give notice to all temporary and contractors in targeted agencies.
I expected McConnell to pick Trump’s people at Treasury, DoJ, Defense, and State. No way will Deep State and the Uniparty allow picks unbeholden to them in those slots. The Faux News guy might be an outlier. I doubt that though.
Any association with Soros is a NO for me!
Sigh of relief’: Wall Street welcomes Donald Trump’s pick of Scott Bessent for Treasury secretary
Nomination of hedge fund investor follows tumultuous fight for the top US economic post

I don’t really know anything about Bessent but the guy just looks like he’d be persnickety with dollars and cents.
Cfr member, soros executive, AND Rockefeller university ties? Dear lord. Did trump get him in just to be able to say he has a billionaire treasury secretary? Trump must really think he can reorient these people, or have them do a complete 180 shift.
Yale.
FILTHY CFR…
The more things change
I pray I’m wrong
Bessent and his HUSBAND former New York City prosecutor John Freeman, have two children….
CHILD ABUSE AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED
