Okay so the Mayor of Denver was one of the people who basically stole a car… “… one of the customers that absconded with a vehicle was none other than Denver Mayor Mike Johnson. “We showed up and the rental car company was closed,” said Johnson. So, Johnson along with several others just walked up to cars with keys in them and drove off. “We took one we thought was for us.”

I think you have expressed yourself quite adequately. As I read what you have said, it’s clear that “understand(ing) the urge” equates your state of mind to that of the spoiled, entitled Democrats who think it’s OK to take others’ property for their own convenience or, you know, “equity”.
Excuses like that is why they will not stop the lawlessness. Was this the only car rental in town? Could they have perhaps gone somewhere lese and rented cars? No they felt entitled the Hertz’s cars so they stole them.

I used to do a lot of travel and used Hertz on those trips… some who had a special standing with Hertz would have cars waiting for them with no need to go to the desk. Your name is on a bay number, you find the keys either in the car or close by and you drive off… never talking to an agent.

I understand the error in judgement. One of my sons and I went to a Honda dealership to buy a new Honda the end of February a few years ago. We waited a couple hours and even asked for help a couple times but no one would do anything to help us. There were salesmen? standing around but it was like we weren’t there. My son, who has somewhat of a temper, finally said “let’s go”. We jumped in his 4-wheel drive Toyota Tacoma and he drove over some bushes under the front windows of the office and thru the yard to the road. It was difficult not to release the tension by a few laughs. He went to another dealership, bought his new Civic, ended up totaling it and then buying a second one from them.
You and/or your son should be held responsible for any damage to property.
The proper way to handle being shunned by sales staff would be to ask for the manager and voice your concern. Alternatively, take your business elsewhere (which you did).

IIRC, they were quoting or citing Vanity Fair as the source. That ‘leak’ could just as well have been an IC planted story as the Vanity Fair article looks very suspect.
I have long used TGP as a source on info. However, over the last few months, I’ve noticed a disturbing trend where they are inserting opinion and unneeded or unwarranted ‘adjectives’ to frame narratives in their articles, as well as using questionable sources without independently confirming themselves.

Last year, a major rental car chain claimed I had damaged their car and wanted $1,300. I flat out refused and demanded photographic proof. They sent photos of the car parked somewhere other than where I dropped it off, which huge gouges and dents down the passenger side.
Fortunately, they couldn’t prove I had done it because I hadn’t remembered to take before/after photos. I fought it and won, but they straight up lied and said I damaged their car.
Hertz shouldn’t have abandoned the renters and left the keys out. I hope everyone gets a free comp rental for the trouble.

The Pentagon’s inspector general has concluded that the U.S. Navy didn’t understand the spill risks involved in operating its Red Hill fuel tank site at Pearl Harbor, and it repeatedly failed to respond when a major spill finally occurred, exposing thousands of military family members to fuel-tainted drinking water.
During the course of the investigation, the IG determined that the Navy managers on site had limited knowledge of the facility and did little to ensure safe operation. They didn’t even have an accurate map of their site: When inspectors visited the base library to look for up-to-date site plans, they found “documents overflowing into the hallway, a lack of labeling, and piles of engineering drawings scattered on various tables,” and there was no librarian. After asking around and getting no answers, the IG team concluded that “Navy officials did not have accurate and up to date as?built drawings of [Red Hill’s] tanks, pipelines, and supporting infrastructure.”
The Hawaii Department of Health took over and issued an advisory not to drink or use the base’s tap water on November 29, and on December 6, it ordered a full shutdown of the Red Hill tank farm and a cleanup treatment of the drinking water system. Lab testing of the tapwater revealed elevated concentrations of aromatic hydrocarbons in the benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX) group of chemicals, which were potentially consumed by thousands of base personnel.
The US Military (like most other militaries) have a poor environmental record extending over many, many decades. It is the nature of combat to leave destruction behind. That mindset has long permeated into peacetime operations.
Environmental cleanup is not their prime mission anyway; it belongs with the state (and later federal) environmental agencies.
The best they can reasonably do is alert the responsible authorities when it happens, which they even failed to do here, apparently.
For reference, at that very location, there is still bunker oil seeping from the deteriorating full fuel tanks of the Arizona after it was sunk at Pearl over 80 years ago. I believe it is weeping out several gallons a day now as the tank walls break down.
And at some point, the long rusting tanks are going to rupture, and may release several hundred thousand gallons remaining straight into the harbor. Very heavy bunker C fuel oil.
But the situation has never been touched, as it remains a sacred mass memorial for the thousands killed there on 12/7.
I am not buying the 12/7 memorial excuse. The Navy could have found a way to clear the oil bunkers of those sunken ships all the way back in 1942.
Plus, the Navy had no qualms about cutting away superstructure of sunken ships in the harbor to either create the memorial or clear the harbor for use. Numerous specials have shown the “junk yard” of cut away superstructure stashed near the park and harbor. Removing the fuel would not disturb the grave site.
Given all the other wasted money in DoD, a few 100 million over 85 years to clean up messes on bases is meter money.
Maybe someday they will go for the bunker fuel….

When asked if she was worried about losing her job, she said she is the one who can bring millions into the DNC through donors so she’s not worried. She also floated that Josh Shapiro is a close friend and she is ready to start helping him for a 2028 run.
There was just something so fishy about the fawning and the willingness to “spill the tea” on what was going on in the Harris campaign. She said Fox is the only network that has the ear of most Americans so she is ever so grateful for how welcoming and nice they were to her.
The only reason Mika, Joe, the DNC and the rest of them are pretending to be so open and humble right now is the bleeding of voters and viewers. They will change their tune outwardly in how they present to the public but they will still be as vile, manipulative and evil away from public view.

Most people acknowledge that Mickey D’s, sold as it is, is not a good choice for a healthy meal.

Just something I have noticed…Elon Musk in interviews seemed to have had a serious downcast personna until he went public for Trump as a supporter. Panicked DOJ and FBI Officials “WEPT” Are Hiring Criminal Defense Lawyers Ahead of Trump’s Return
The hammer of justice is coming.
Officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Department of Justice (DOJ) are hiring themselves criminal defense attorneys in anticipation of Donald Trump’s return to the White House.
According to a report from NBC News, senior members of both government agencies are panicking about the prospect of Trump and his prospective attorney general, former Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz.
“Everything we did was aboveboard,” said a former senior FBI official who has started contacting lawyers because he expects to be prosecuted himself. “But this is a different world.”
The official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity out of fear of becoming even more of a target, doesn’t believe any attempt to prosecute him will be successful. Judges and juries have the power to throw out cases or find defendants innocent if they deem prosecutions to be baseless.
But like many other current and former Justice Department officials, he is bracing for a potentially long and costly legal battle, as well as the possibility of protracted congressional investigations, after Trump takes office in January.
Another satisfying aspect of the report are claims that that DOJ officials “wept” after the election, while Attorney General Merrick Garland was left “shocked” by the result:

For the last four years, Garland has argued that strictly following post-Watergate norms that require the Justice Department to work in a nonpartisan manner in criminal investigations would restore public trust in the Justice Department.

While Trump nor Gaetz have never specified exactly what charges could be brought against certain individuals, any prosecutions would likely relate to their efforts to imprison the former president and his most loyal supporters.
Mike Davis, a conservative lawyer and advisor to president, recently argued that special counsel Jack Smith, who led the efforts to prosecute and imprison Trump for challenging the fraudulent results of the 2020 presidential election, should “lawyer up.”

Donald Trump on Sunday got a potentially devastating message from the Senate GOP leader, according to a report.
Trump prior to announcing his nomination of Matt Gaetz said Republican leaders need to be ready to consent to recess appointments to skip the process of confirmation, despite the fact that the GOP just won the majority in the body.
Senate Republicans then elected John Thune to replace Mitch McConnell when he retires, and Thune left the door open to do just that. [that’s safe BS for him since he won’t have to make the call unless McConnell croaks and Mike Benz says he’s 100% certified Blob so he’s the safe Blob/RINO backup for McConnell – W]
But over the weekend, McConnell himself spoke out on the issue and declared that there would be no recess appointments, meaning all of Trump’s controversial nominees would be vetted and receive a confirmation hearing from the Republican Senators, according to a reporter.
Jane Mayer, staff writer at the New Yorker, reported the development on social media on Sunday.
“Message to Trump Team: ‘There will be no recess appointments’ Sen. Mitch McConnell said tonight at a Washington gathering,” Mayer reported on social media.

I get the announcements on who he will nominate, at least on some positions. But frankly, nobody has to know anything now. The nominations approval process only begins after inauguration as I recall. But it seems everyone is so eager to spew the strategies it is giving the opposition the benefit of ZERO surprise. Yes, we have been s#*+ on for years, and it feels GREAT to WIN and celebrate. But please President Trump and team; reign in the mouths and jabber and vitriol for a couple more months. Literally today, whittle boy Soros and the demonic left are gathered to plot multiple actions against us.
Enough mouthing!. Don’t act like the party drunk telling the enemy what road you’re coming in on. Be disciplined and skilled in our ultimate justice.

The Pentagon is in “absolute disarray” with “generals scrambling” due to the incoming Trump administration’s plans to fire woke senior military leaders who prioritized diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) over combat readiness, according to sources.
One source compared it to a hornet’s nest being kicked over and that “DEI pages are starting to disappear off the main websites.”
“They’re being archived as we speak. They are full-bore focused on cleaning up anything DEI-related,” the source said.
Another source said people are trying to find out if they are on the list to be cut. “They are in panic mode,” the source said.
The scramble to hide evidence comes as President-elect Donald Trump’s transition team has begun gathering names of senior officers who pushed DEI.
