Obama kicked out a heck of a lot more than that. I remember that period. Mid-career officers were all living in fear for about a year due to Obama’s “force shaping” policies… which, at least in my career field, led to critical personnel shortages. Our four star came back from DC in early 2013, called a meeting of the entire headquarters building, and told us all the only way to let the current administration know how disastrous their policies were was to stop working sixteen hour days and let things break.
The military needs a big broom to get rid of undesirable generals/admirals. It is a closed club. New generals are selected by the old gray beard generals, so we have losers selecting losers. The Army leadership is not concerned about moldy barracks or soldiers needs, but instead focuses on new uniforms. Pilots are required to give about ten years service then when proficient requested to leave the service. The Navy, Air Force and Marines have the same old uniform. Military leadership needs a huge house cleaning. Wonder why they have a recruiting challenge?
