Making the nomination strategy that much more interesting, Matt Gaetz resigned his position within congress, “effective immediately.”
In combination with the nomination of Senator Marco Rubio to the State Dept., this sets the stage for a Senate situation where the upper chamber may attempt to derail the Gaetz nomination, yet Florida Governor Ron DeSantis could then appoint him to be the replacement U.S. Senator from Florida; thus, returning an angry MOAB back into the silo that derailed him.

To say the Lawfare leftists are having a meltdown would be an understatement.
CTH knew Main Justice was the target of greatest transition discussion when we wrote this. However, I had no idea the strategy would include an Attorney General nomination of such severity the officials inside the DOJ would likely begin to self deport.
If Matt Gaetz gets through the nomination process, there will be a mass exodus from Main Justice.
Within the dynamic of the decision-making, obviously it was the targeting of President Trump and his allies by the DOJ that led to such a severe response from President-elect Donald Trump.
The Main Justice Lawfare effort against President Trump and anyone in/around his immediate orbit, has been relentless for the past eight years. From Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, George Papadopoulos, Rudy Giuliani, Sidney Powell all the way to the 1,500 protesters from January 6, 2021, the attacks from within the DOJ and their appointed Special Counsels have been relentless. Gaetz is the response.

The next several weeks and months are going to be epic as this battle carries out throughout the Executive and Legislative branches. Additionally, I would be remiss if I did not note that Gaetz represents the biggest, irresistible bait for the Intelligence Community (IC) to watch being dragged in front of them. What I like about Matt is he doesn’t just answer questions he explains the answers so there is no loose ends they can nail him on. Regarding DeSantis being able to pick Gaetz to replace Rubio if he fails to be confirmed, isn’t timing a problem with that option? Doesn’t the Senate APPOINTMENT have to precede the CONFIRMATION PROCESS?
I just learned today in Florida the Governor isn’t on a strict timeline to call for a special election to fill a House vacancy, so I’m going to assume the Governor has the same leeway for appointing a replacement Senator. If true, because the GOP has at least a 2 seat majority, and JD as the tie-breaker, DeSantis could wait until after the AG confirmation process to appoint Gaetz to the Senate seat, should Gaetz be rejected as AG. (I hope I was able to convey my thoughts clearly)

I am not a Gatez fan, but I am not a MTG fan either. A whole lot of useless bravado going on by both. Anything for the camera. I am both impressed and saddened by the strategy put into keeping a Senate seat. Both Rubio and DeSantis stabbed Trump in the back, why is he so sure that they will help in regaining the Senate seat? Paxton would be the perfect AG, he could certainly take care of some of the lawsuits that he has going on against the government in that position. But hearing from some friends in Texas, they don’t want to lose him right now, especially with the concept of mass deportation on the horizon.
I am having so much fun just watching. This past week has felt as if time is moving how it would like and most people I have encountered are in good spirits. Not having died and gotten to vote, I can say that God has made this possible.

I suspect the Gaetz nomination is a trap for the deep state. The house ethics committee was going to release an ethics report Friday that supposedly contained damning info. Now that Matt has resigned, the committee has no jurisdiction and can’t release their hit piece.
Can you come up with any better scenario that dares these people to leak the report? It’s almost as if Trump Inc.wants the report leaked. If you are on the committee and you know Gaetz wants it leaked, would you do it anyway?
I suspect this report will be published by someone and information in it will confirm the massive corruption we are subjected to and lead to a speedy confirmation. If it is NOT leaked, we have to believe there is something people are very scared to reveal and Matt will be confirmed to keep it hidden.

This just in: Florida Gov. DeSantis calls for immediate special elections to replace GOP congressmen 🙂
In a stark departure from when previous vacancies occurred, Gov. Ron DeSantis wants special elections scheduled immediately to fill two congressional vacancies needed to protect Republicans’ majority in the U.S. House of Representatives.
DeSantis, on a trade mission to Italy, gave instructions to Secretary of State Cord Byrd to quickly schedule the elections, now that President-elect Donald Trump has plucked two Florida GOP congressmen for his administration.

Gaetz and Waltz represent Republican strongholds: Both were reelected this month with 66% of the vote and the possibility of either district flipping to the Democrats are unlikely.

It’s good to see DeSantis working with the Team Trump. I’m sure he will be appropriately rewarded.
I’m beginning to think the Gaetz pick is a smoke screen. Yes I would absolutely love seeing Gaetz as AG digging into all the corruption and sins.
But PT had to know Gaetz would bering out the crazy in RINO’s and Dems and have virtually zero chance to get confirmed. Yes recess appointment is still a possibility as the play but I’m now thinking more about PT using Gaetz as a decoy to use the vacancy act to slide in Paxton or the AG from MO.
Because the vacancy would occur in the first 60 days PT could slide Paxton in as AG for 300 days no confirmation needed. (210 days + 90 days)
Again plenty of time to gather evidence to share with the American people and once that initial lid of off the bottle the American will demand Paxton and these investigations continue.
Congress will have to confirm Paxton for the remainder of PT term.
So what happens to Gaetz?
DeSantis selects him to fill Rubio’s Senate seat or PT puts Gaetz on the team into a position that only needs Presidential Appointment (no Senate confirmation required)
The Gaetz appointment will keep the nut jobs buzzing for the next 60 days or until Jan 20 when PT pulls the switcheroo.
Just a WAG (wild ass guess) but clearly 3D Chess stuff.

Cornyn has run to the press to complain about the Matt Gaetz AG nomination.
Cornyn’s last election was 2020. He’s up for re-election in 2026. Please Texas, do what you need to do to remove this guy and elect a better Senator.
I’m making a sh*t list to track all of the anti-Trump things any Senators and Representatives do from election day onward, to remind voters when these people come up for re-election.
Right now, Cornyn and Murkowski are the first on my list.
No requirement of PDJT having an AG to Janet Reno the entire place.
Withdraws nomination and put forward a rebuild nomination.
Then Thune’s worst nightmare.
Gaetz and Scott doing Vulcan Mind Melds in the Senate while the clock ticks down to 2026.
I think this is what’s called, ‘Quit While Ahead’

Door B: Ok Mr. Chairman let’s expose the hypocrisy and let the chip fall where they may. If you think my Congressional Ethics report is a winning hand.
PDJT double downs on nomination. Creates Sunlight and then opens door on number A in addition to a Senate creation of a very specific inquiry to focus the DOJ in the coming months.
I think that is what is called ‘Circling The Wagons’.
Door C: Confirm Gaetz,so everyone in the Senate can get back to pretending.
And, that is what is called, ‘The only dealt play possible’.
My President has had four years of being beset and assailed by the Deep State, The Uniparty, and the MSM. He has had four years to study them in depth. He has had four years to study all of the Constitution and the Executive Branch. He has had four years to game this out, including having Thune and Johnson in the positions they are in. He is ready, and this will be fun to watch, I am not concerned at all,,,,,and, btw, I heard Lara Trump was appointed to Rubio’s Senate seat?
