here they are, vowing to do all the ‘traditional values’-type things, in order to protest the victory of the man who espouses traditional values (marriage, religion, family).
I have a sense that we really don’t know President Trump either.
My observation of Trump since the 1980s is, his ideology has not changed or made concessions to the political shifting sands of NYC politics under Koch, Giulian, or Bloomberg. His focus has remained on maximizing his business model and achieving his real estate development goals. However, DJT understands the intersection of the political landscape of power and influence with business. He does what he needs to do to accomplish his business agenda. In vernacular terms, he will schmooze and flatter and offer enticements where it will do the most good for his business interests. PDJT wants to run the US as a business.
He will most likely follow that same pattern of dealing with friend and foe as President. He will make leaders who might seem repulsive to American ideals feel they have a forum and will benefit by being offered a place at the table, if they adjust to enable the interests of the United States to prevail.
It’s like making sausage, the process is messy and unappetizing but the end product is a worth the effort as long as the ingredients are carefully monitored and measured by an accomplished chef technician.

After church…white patent leather shoes white skirt and orange top…ruffled ankle socks that I got grease on…(earth to mom, we we getting a tour of the engine room as she yelled at me)…
Dad loved that ship. He almost took a job with them, United States Lines. But he decided on the Panama Canal…where he could be home every night. The path less trodden…made all the difference.
The SS United States still holds the transatlantic speed record. In both directions…from her maiden voyage. This makes me cry….lovely memories…she is destined to be an artificial reef near Pensacola.

Never been on her but have been very close checking her out at the dock in Philly when picking up at the docks. It’s a shame but nobody wants to invest to keep her and everything that can be easily salvaged from her has been. She is a gutted ghost, but still a very impressive sight.
