I am a third generation Washingtonian and still remember when this was a decently well-run, law abiding, Libertarian leaning Purple state. So sad to see what it has become, but most of my family, and both of my kids are still here, so I will continue to suck it up for a little while longer, but just might run out of patience and money soon and have to make a run for a Red state!

Look at their voting record. They both loved Omnibus spending, Ukraine spending, all kinds of big government spending and were squishy supporting 2A rights and liberty in general. As a leader of the Senate, heck no to Thune and Cornyn.
Much of the effort during the first couple years will be in the executive branch. Reducing the bureaucracy is an executive function. International diplomacy also is an executive function. Using economic leverage is also an executive function.
While I prefer a Senate that is aligned with President Trump, the heavy lifting will be exclusively in the executive branch. Unfortunately, that also means the changes may not be permanent with the next President. If President Trump drastically cuts the bureaucracy and distributes them throughout the US the next President will struggle to bring them back into Washington.
