Charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States, obstruction of an official proceeding and conspiracy against rights. President Trump wins a massive electoral and popular vote landslide election. Within 12-hours the DOJ announce that technical legal processes block them from targeting a president-elect and sitting president.
The non-pretending reality of the issue is that Jack Smith and the Lawfare attacks were always going to end up in appeal to the Supreme Court, and the high court had already put its opinion on record. The election result provides the DOJ an excuse, a plausible justification to save face.

In the New York City case, watch Judge Merchan defer any sentencing outcome pending the appeals to the higher state court. Those appeals will likely be successful, and the entire issue sitting in front of Merchan becomes a moot point.

I went to an election watch party, first time ever because I am always volunteering. While it was fun, I missed the experienced minds of this site. I was frustrated at how none of them knew a dang thing about any candidate out of their district. Lovely people and all, but really clueless about VA politics, national politics, and global politics. And honestly all they could do was mimic the usual talking head points. I really wished I had come home and been online at my various favorite sites.
My daughter is 15. She is in national lifeguarding class. This is the last class before she becomes a life guard. Not a joke of a course.
She would come home from the course each Tuesday and talk about a girl in her class that is also 15. Piercings. On her phone. Typical lib girl. My daughter just didn’t like her.
Yesterday she got into the car and said, “Dad. You wouldn’t believe what happened tonight!”
They were nearly finished the swim and class work. The instructor told the class that he had to check in on the election because he had money on it. My daughter heard, “Oh Trump all the way!!” She wheeled around and it was the girl that she thought was a liberal. A boy obviously miffed because he was a Kamala supporter went at this girl. She undressed him soundly with an understanding of the political situation with resolute authority.
Then she stopped and asked the boy if he wanted to debate abortion because she was also pro-life. Again she clobbered him.
Another girl in the class is American. She bemoaned that she was 18 and could not vote for her first time. She wanted to vote Trump. She said that she was going to a pro-life conference on the weekend. My daughter was signed up for the same course. Both were shocked to hear the other saying that they were going.
So, within this college town the class was filled with extremely knowledgeable conservative girls.
You just never know.

If the laws of nature had acted as they normally do, Donald Trump would have died in July, murdered in cold blood because, deep down, his enemies knew that was the only way to prevent American voters from choosing him as their leader.

I wondered about the case with E. Jean Carroll, which is possibly the most ludicrous of all the cases. It looks as if that case could well be dropped as well. The threshold for civil cases is lower than criminal, but the case is currently on appeal and since the ‘merit’ of the case is dubious at best, it seems probable that she will lose on appeal as well.
