I’ve been burned by posting “very recent” breaking news from X (Twitter) that appears to break an accepted norm or reverse a previously established fact. My source was usually reliable but apparently he also broke discipline and re-posted it too soon before the original claim was solidly confirmed to be true.
I found that we have to let such a breaking announcement “percolate” for maybe 30 minutes up to a couple hours to see what kind of reactions it draws and if the claim becomes largely refuted with supporting links

Having voter rolls open to public inspection is imperative in keeping them clean and honest. Voter rolls are public data that need to be publicly accessible.
Unfortunately, some states have decided to make their voter rolls not public and treat their voter rolls as private confidential data instead of the public data that they actually are.
Names and addresses on voter rolls need to be made public to ensure that the deceased, those who have moved, and fake voters aren’t being used to manufacture fraudulent votes.
Some individuals are naturally uncomfortable with their voter roll data being made public which is understandable, but public transparency is the only way to keep voter rolls from becoming corrupt.
Some jurisdictions with publicly available voter rolls allow those with privacy concerns to opt out of having their voter roll data made public, which is a compromise that allows for voter rolls to be made public without causing issues for those with privacy concerns.
Making voter rolls public is not the same as making how one voted in a given election public. How one cast their ballot remains secret even when voter rolls are public.
Some jurisdictions with public voter rolls will indicate if one is a registered member of a party or which party’s ballot they chose when they last voted in a primary, but they do not indicate how one actually voted.
Illinois is one of the states that effectively does not have a public voter roll.
Per the National Conference of State Legislatures, the statewide voter roll for Illinois is available for public viewing on a computer screen at the state board of elections office in Springfield, IL during normal business hours, but the person viewing the list may not print, duplicate, transmit, or alter the list.
It’s unlikely that the staff at the state board of elections would even be familiar with this law. It’s also unlikely that they would cooperate with any requests from the public wanting to view the statewide voter roll in this manner.
The fact that the statewide voter roll is so difficult for the public to access renders it effectively a non-public voter roll.
Madison County, IL is the only jurisdiction that I know of in Illinois with a public voter roll that is easily accessible to anyone online at: https://apps.co.madison.il.us/CountyClerk/Elections/VoterList/#
Every voter roll in Illinois and nationwide needs to be as easily accessible as the Madison County voter roll.
On March 06, 2024, Judicial Watch filed a federal lawsuit against the Illinois State Board of Elections over its failure to clean Illinois’ voter rolls and produce election related records as required by the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (NVRA).
This lawsuit was filed on behalf of behalf of Judicial Watch and the nonprofit organizations Illinois Family Action, Breakthrough Ideas, and Carol J. Davis, who is a registered voter in Illinois.
In July 2023, Judicial Watch settled a separate federal lawsuit on behalf of the Illinois Conservative Union against the state of Illinois, the Illinois State Board of Elections, and its director, which grants access to the current centralized statewide list of registered voters for the state for the past 15 elections.
This access to the statewide voter roll is only for the parties of the lawsuit and not the general public. We need to keep pushing until the Illinois voter roll is public for everyone.

Man I want to say nice things but she’s a bit boring. Her picking is flat. Her fretwork is exact, like a student. There is no flow. She is perfect at creating background music. Which is fine if you are trying to play exacting background music. There is nothing in any of these pieces that just pops at all.
But she is young and well on her way to mastery so I am sure at this rate she will be amazing some day. Good find. Who is her instructor?

Social media users weigh in on Peanut the Squirrel being euthanized: ‘This can’t be real’
Social media users are mourning the loss of the beloved social media star Peanut the Squirrel after he was euthanized on Friday.
Peanut, or PNUT, was a rescue squirrel who lived with his owner content creator Mark Longo for seven years.
Longo first connected with Peanut when he saw the squirrel’s mom get hit by a car, per previous USA TODAY reporting. Unfortunately, the mother passed, leaving Peanut an orphan. Longo was unsuccessful in finding a shelter that would take him in. Longo ended up feeding baby Peanut for about eight months before attempting to release him back into the wild.
“I released him in the backyard, and a day and a half later, I found him sitting on my porch, missing half his tail. So here I am, bawling my eyes out, like, I failed you as your human,” Longo told USA TODAY in 2022. “And I kind of opened the door, he ran inside and that was the last of Peanut’s wildlife career.”
Together the duo lived in their Pine City, New York home with Longo’s cat Chloe. Longo created social media accounts for Peanut which gave their followers and inside look into their lives.
Peanut had garnered over half a million social media followers on Instagram, X, and TikTok.
On Friday, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and Chemung County Department of Health announced that a squirrel and a raccoon had been euthanized to test for rabies.
The New York Department of Environmental Conservation states that it is illegal for young wildlife to be kept as pets.
In a tearful TikTok post on Friday, Longo informed Peanut’s followers of his death.

Why was Peanut the squirrel euthanized? The controversy explained
Mark Longo, the owner of the Instagram-famous squirrel, Peanut, is mourning the loss of his beloved pet.
On Nov. 1, Longo took to Instagram to reveal Peanut had been euthanized, along with his pet raccoon named Fred, by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
“Despite our passionate outcry for compassion, the agency chose to ignore our pleas, leaving us in deep shock and grief,” he said online.
On Wednesday, Oct. 30, Peanut the Squirrel and Longo’s other pet, a raccoon named Fred, were seized from his home by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
According to NBC News, the DEC received multiple anonymous complaints about Peanut and showed up to Longo’s home with “at least six officers” to take Peanut and Fred away.
In a joint statement, the DEC and the Chemung County Department of Health say they are “coordinating to ensure the protection of public health related to the illegal possession of wild animals that have the potential to carry the rabies virus.”

No. I am certain as I posited that the MEDIA is using it as a DISTRACTION.
It’s not a “feel good” story.
It has nothing to do with the intent of the owner to “tell his story”.
Reed, I am with RAH on this. If the media was intending to use this story to distract from the election, they are strategically far less ‘smart’ than I’ve previously thought.
The “distraction” focused everyone on the lethal abuse of innocent pet owner and his well cared for pets by an overbearing jackbooted governmental agency, acting unilaterally without any scientific or medical justification for doing so.
If anything, the story – in just 24 to 48 hours – helped galvanize previously marginal / apathetic animal-loving voters into voting against abusive authoritarian government – the Democrats, which Hochul represents – and translates into voting for Trump.
Personally I don’t think it was a planned distraction by the media. But it hit social media hours before the MSM picked it up. It was simply a stupid decision by fascists in the NYS DEC that was coincidentally but badly timed before a significantly important election.

Remember the fences that went up around the capitol building overnight after the steal in 2020? We never saw that before. It meant that there had been a coup, but we didn’t want to believe it.
We are awake and in the process of taking our country back.

And I just had a stroke. Entire left side of my body shutdown again. With that weird “Migraine with Aura” thing. It’s over. I feel like a million bucks now, but she wants me to go to the hospital. And for the first time I have no idea if she is right or I am (I don’t think anything is gained in going after the episode is over).

You need tests to determine the type of stroke and the exact location.
Was the episode a TIA or a stroke?
Is your heart in a rhythm called atrial fibrillation? If that rhythm is not treated you have an increased risk for another stroke. AFib results in blood pooling in your atria, which can form clots. The clots can migrate elsewhere.
Was the episode related to high blood pressure?
Have you had a carotid doppler study?
Don’t wait around. Prompt diagnostics and treatment are important. You only have one brain. Take care of it. I am praying for you right now, and thankful you got this warning in the form of symptoms… Some people are not so fortunate.

They don’t think it’s a stroke now…no clots or hemorrhaging or anything. I had both CAT and MRI. I think I am supposed to get that doppler thing in a couple days. Right now it looks like whatever it was isn’t near as serious as some of the symptoms suggested, so thank God for that.
Such episodes are often harbingers of worse to come. GO! And be prepared to possibly stay for three days for observation tests and MRIs etc. That is what they did to me. I went in taking no prescription meds. came home taking 4 and have cut that down to 3. Blood pressure medicine, low dose aspirin, blood thinner. I dumped the cholesterol medicine on my own.
Ended up being all of last night and most of today. Lots of tests. No sign of an actual stroke. They want me to take that low dose aspirin and I get more tests done in a few days with a neurologist (I think). My blood pressure was fine as were my labs. So I dunno what any of this is yet. It’s pretty weird though I can tell you that.

I have migraine auras without headache X 20 years. I’ve had occasional episodes that mimic strokes. I get checked each time. Thankfully, they have been attributed to the auras/weird signaling from my optic nerve. Even when an episode is quick, less than 15-30 minutes in duration, I still go in for a check.
The darned things vary. One year I had 90 auras and this year only 19.
I know going in to get checked out is a massive hassle but it is necessary!
Just an update…they do not think it was a stroke. There is no damage. After a full night and half a day of tests and everything else they eventually let me go home. I have to see a neurologist in a few days to follow up and do some other kinds of tests or something, but as for now they don’t think any sort of stroke which is a massive relief. I’m a bit stubborn about going to the hospital and don’t want to overreact, but you guys and my wife were right. Just the relief of knowing I’m not dealing with any obvious massive brain issue takes my stress levels way down. Thanks guys.

A cadre of armed officials got a search warrant, rummaged through the man’s property for five hours, illegally questioned his wife about her immigrant status, ultimately seizing the pet and killing it without giving the owner any recourse to save its life. Now let’s take a look at the universe in which this macabre horrid little leftist “comedy” took place. In a nation overrun by tens of millions of illegal aliens, crushed by rampant crime and gang warfare, enduring a $35 trillion deficit, soul-crushing inflation, a culture of infanticide and child mutilation, sexual dysphoria, and insanity, and waging illegal lawfare against candidates of another party, New York State spent a full day killing a squirrel, that had been a harmless pet cherished by its owner for literally years.
The event in and of itself was just an act of petty cruelty. As a window into a larger universe, however, it is a fissure in the mantle of our world, signaling a cataclysmic eruption that may well end this nation. The tsunami of rage coming from ordinary and loving individuals was quite frankly astonishing.
Has America in the hands of the lunatic left become a powder keg about to explode? Will the power-hungry Democrats and their media minions spew enough hatred that even the most gentile among us will finally say ENOUGH?
