It takes exactly 3 minutes for our 12 cup to make the first cup of coffee. And it’ll get your heart started quickly!
That’s why I use a one cup Keurig 5 or 6 X a day. I just don’t have the patience, Patience 🙂
In my dreams I see myself swimming in an Olympic pool-sized vat of coffee every morning, like Scrooge McDuck’s money bin… 🙂

David: Do the soldiers prefer the Tavor or the M-4? Both platforms have gotten a heavy workout in the past year, especially in urban combat, close quarters engagements and tunnel operations. I wonder how the performance of the two rifle platforms compares, in both Gaza and Lebanon. As you probably know, the US is moving on to a new rifle platform, seeking increase leathality at somewhat greater distances.
Israel is shifting off the Tavor to an AR platform. It will take some time but the decision was made.
There are a few Israeli companies who compete on the deal.
I would have to dig the why. The only advantage of the Tavor is in the US market because of legality. I mean you get a Short Barrel Rifle size with a long enough barrel to be sold as a standard Rifle. So it’s a great option for home defense without going through an SBR process. You see? I understand the US gun market too.
But AR has adjustable stock, flexible after market parts, better handling of gas and I think it’s faster to handle stops during a fight. The IDF wants to have a uniform weapon for most of the IDF.
Most Special Forces already use ARs. Like Colt Commando M4, etc… It was a Good question.
If I was to live in the US I would get one of your fancy brands like Daniel Defense in a short barrel for a home defense. The HK brand has a top of the line but too expensive.
If you are Shayetet 13 (Navy Seals equivalent) or Sayeret Matkal (Delta Force equivalent) then they get the top of the industry and a variety of weapons for different missions. For example inside water the AK is the better option as it is the most reliable in such conditions.

-Treepers, considering we are heading into a Presidential election in the country that has hitherto been the shining beacon of the world, but lately fallen into the darkness of the corruption of its Founding Ideals – an election, as such, which will necessarily be litigated literally up the wazzoo, I’m asking:- What are your thoughts on the origin of ‘The Law’?…
…- Understand here, I am not talking about God’s Law, the existence and justness of which is *Patently* obvious, rather I am talking about human i.e.: temporal i.e: man’s law… – Where did it originate, how did it evolve throughout history, where will it go next, and do we ‘little people’ have any say in alla that? (I’d like to believe that we do…)
-Feel free to respond anyhow, and I hope to spark a wide-ranging discussion indeed, but if I may toss a couple of historical/contextual constraints into the ring they would be these:- Picture two axis 90-degrees opposed, but not in a cross like a math graph, more of a ‘T’:
-Axis 1 (Horizontal): ‘Elite Law’ as dispensed by emperors, kings, warlords, ‘strong-men’, etc., polarized more or less wisely or ignorantly between ‘Noblesse Oblige’ and ‘Droit de Seigneur’ (And also such abberations as ‘Prima Nocte’, etc.)
