I found an old clip of Trump from 1988. In this clip, Trump is introducing Poppy Bush as the candidate for the Republican party and Trump is drumming up support for him for the presidential race of that year. These are the times before Poppy’s new world disorder speech, we thought that elections were free and fair, and Bush was a decent man and not a monster in disguise. Those are innocent days.
What impresses me about this clip is that Trump, and Poppy Bush said it clearly in the video, that Trump invited the Turkish-Americans and Pakistani-Americans to this Republican fundraiser in Trump Tower, that is, invited to participate in the power structure of American politics. The reason that I mention this is that he actually reached out to Muslims in America at least 36 years ago and it is not some current political, cynical outreach/stunt.
Trump really is the most sincere man I know. He reaches out to everyone and there is evidence in abundance.
I have no love for Muslims – I admit. But, I am no less impressed by Trump’s outreach to everyone without any bias towards race, color, or even creed when he was just a guy from Brooklyn.

Really, it is downloading the movies for free and sticking it to Hollywood that does give me some jollies. It is juvenile and I admit that, too. When I called to find out why I wasn’t called about being a precinct poll worker this election, I was told the precinct superintendent wanted to pick out her own board for my precinct this time. Thus, the county let her do the calling of her own deputies to work with her.
From my understanding the precinct poll workers are supposed to have at least one person from each party so that is it unbiased in the manner in which they handle all aspects of running the precinct voting process.
Question—Yes I’m in South Dakota but does this sound right in light of all the craziness happening at our polls in the past. Should a Precinct Poll Superintendent be picking her own deputies to work for her.

Minnesota statue says our boards must be made up of equal parts from different political parties, and up until 2020 they were breaking the law every year. Some counties are now doing the right thing, and some — like Hennepin county where Minneapolis is — are not.

Looks like this is the “ooops” law that allows county auditors the right to put anyone onto a “counting board.” It happened in Minnesota, and it could have been stopped before the 2020 election IF our GOP was not made up of RINOs.
“The county auditor shall, not less than twenty days before any election, appoint a precinct superintendent and two precinct deputies who shall constitute the precinct election board and a precinct superintendent and two precinct deputies of the counting board if the board is appointed pursuant to § 12-15-14 or 12-15-14.1 for each of the voting precincts or vote centers of the county. Additional precinct deputies may be appointed in increments of two. The county auditor shall make the appointments from lists of names submitted by the county central committee of each party. If the county auditor fails to receive the list at least forty-five days prior to an election, the county auditor shall make the appointments.”
The bold/italicized/underlined highlights are mine, since that is where the uniparty cheat is happening.
In Minnesota, and apparently in South Dakota, too, if your political party does not submit a list of available people who are willing to work on a precinct’s counting board (in Minnesota it’s a county Absentee Ballot Board), and doesn’t do it in a timely manner, the auditor is free to put all the Dems on that board.
Minneapolis has about 120 people on their Absentee Ballot Board, and the county auditor filled those slots with unemployed union workers — instead of the 60 citizen Republicans and 60 citizen Democrats they were supposed to use.
But we’re supposed to believe that that situation will be all above board, here is Balzless Walz socialist utopia.
