When you feel froggy..
President Trump seems to be skilled in the attitude of “do your best” but “don’t become attached to the outcome.” Another way of saying that is the often heard advice to be aware of what you can control and what you can’t.
Obviously, President Trump is giving his all to win, but somehow at the same time he is able to hold himself separately from the outcome. I’m reminded of this when he uses the phrase “we’ll see what happens.”

Ausonius does not write “screeds”. He is a literary scholar and writes his opinions in well thought out, very well spoken short essays.

During the speech he was showing video clips. Towards the end he played one of Harris with probably 8-10 video clips of her speaking.

No one here knows for certain what the outcome of this election will be. For me, I gather as much information as possible, take action on things I am able to (this year, volunteered for my congressional rep), talk with family and friends to ensure they have good information as opposed to what is offered by mainstream media and I have faith things will work out in our favor. Personally, I pray a lot, too.
Folks, including me, responded to your post sarcastically because we have lately been bombarded with negativity. There is a line between hoping for the best and feeling there is no hope at all. In my case, I will always have hope, but it is based on facts. I truly feel President Trump and his team are aware of all the attacks arrayed against him and will be able to thwart enough of them to be elected.
Try to reach inside yourself to find something positive to latch onto. We are all in this together.

I’ll just add this for some positive solace:
Roger Stone, a political insider going back to the early 70s, recently revealed that he privately told some people BEFORE the 2016 and 2020 elections (confirmed), that PDJT was going to win in 2016 — and lose in 2020.
This was because PDJT in 2016 won by an actual landslide margin that was too big for the established Democrat election stealing machine to overcome. They made it close, but the landslide was just too big.
The Democrat apparatus has had in place an organized fraud operation for many years. This is not something that sprung up just to beat Trump. They last used it to steal 2012 from Romney in 2012. It is effective in very close elections, and they have been using it for decades to maintain their control in states they initially seize.
Stone privately confided in 2020 that PDJT was going to lose, because his margin of actual victory was now within the margin of that cheating operation. This was because of the relative complacency of his base (even though he had more votes, success can do that), and four nonstop years of constant attacks, and the COVID scam that destroyed the economy and disrupted society. It was not the same landslide margin of 2016 (Hillary wasn’t running, and many independents thought Biden more moderate than he is).
And they stole it in 2020.
For 2024, Stone is now openly saying that PDJT is going to win. Because there is now no complacency this time. The motivation is now off the charts, and deeply extends into the Independent margins. And the landslide is even far BIGGER than that in 2016. Far too big for the Democrat cheating system to overcome.
That is why the cabal was counting on the bullet not missing. They can’t beat him electorally in ’24. They had to take him out of the race. All the lawfare failed. And so did the bullet, and the next one, too.
They are now on Plans C and D: massive unrest and potential black swans to delay or prevent the transfer of power. And they will keep trying to kill him.
But the early vote signs out of key states, North Carolina and Nevada in particular, are showing unheard of Republican leads that never happen, and show every sign of a massive, unstoppable, landslide underway. The number of mail in ballot requests are way down from 2020. And the cheating system relies on loose ballots. Their margin of fraud is more conventional this time.
On top of it, their selected candidate to beat him is in complete collapse. She does not even enjoy the marginal institutional acceptance that Biden did. Her own party can’t stand her. Even the state legacy media is now slowly turning negative on her. Many are withholding endorsements, and some are even trying to align with Trump in their own campaign ads (such as Casey in PA).
They see what is coming.

Could never get such in VA when living there.
We do mail-in in Florida and receive e-mail confirmation that votes have been counted.

Was mis-informed. Early voted in my FL county – that’s the difference maker. There is a robust process for ensuring the integrity of votes. But no accessible documentation confirming recorded votes.
No verification in Lake County, FL. Fill in the little ovals with a pen, feed the ballot into the scanner, and hope it correctly counts your vote because that’s all you can do.
That said, yet even in places where it shows you, there’s no way to know if it showed you, to your satisfaction, and *then* flipped it. Even with purple-inked fingers and paper ballots, the people doing the counting can just lie, Maduro-style.. The only sure solution short of the nation miraculously becoming a high trust society again would be purple-inked fingers, voter ID, paper ballots, and representatives from all parties (not just the Big Two) executing and agreeing on the final counts.
No more machines, period. No more secret black box counting. No more algorithms.

Last night I did vote yesterday in Florida, and I specifically asked about confirmation. While I was standing at the machine, they were able to verify the machine accepted my ballot. What they could not confirm was that my candidate selections were as I had selected.
They said there may be a way to do get that verification at a HQ level but they couldn’t do it locally.
My ballot today printed my selections on paper for my review before I hit cast vote, and that paper with those selections I presume will be secured in the event of an audit.
Not quite as good as a block chain record with paper backup, and no hackable machine involved, but getting there.

Before I listened to Trump rallies, I mostly watched syrup-pee relgious leaders on tv and on youtube, but I didn’t feel the spiritual or humorus vibe in them.
Then I watced a few Trump Rallies on youtube and other places and felt a warm-hearted guy actually talking in plain American English and sounded pretty up-beat. Then I would watch MSM just tell me I was watching Hitler type person , and a horrible person and 99 percent of MSM gave only negative news/stories on Trump. Very confusing at first, I got the impression they didn’t watch the rally at all, and see all the love that was being exchanged between Trump and the crowd.
Over the last number of years, I have seen Trump get beat up really bad (mentally/emotionally) by the Republicans and Democrats and MSM. It was so weird to see this happen. Trump said he didn’t want to be president and hoping someone would run for President who Trump could support. Nobody showed up and then Trump thought if these Corrupt people ruine the country any more, the American Spirit would be gone in a few years.
Thank GOD that Trump felt the tap on his shoulder GOD calling Trump (at night) and told Trump to step up to the plate … and help out America. Trump heard the CALL and has been working on obeying the Holy Spirits Directions.

Sadly many in the same younger crowd that observes the rituals and speaks the platitudes about saving Mother Earth don’t actually do any of the trivial effort needed these days. For example recycling has become so mainstream and even mandated, and dumbed down, that nearly anything is recycled now with no sorting or work involved. Gone are those days of cutting tops and bottoms off cans to flatten them for recycling. Sorting glass by color? no longer. paper and cardboard are just mixed with glass, metal, and even take out containers.
With all that has been done to ease recycling why is it that so many yutes can’t be bothered to read the sticker on the bin, or LOOK at the PICTURES and refrain from throwing trash in? Containers with noodles and sauce? Pizza boxes with pizza in them? Food scraps, ceramic, you name it. I see it all in the bins and I realize that it won’t be sorted by some nameless magic elves, it’s destined to be landfilled because of lazy virtue posturers who won’t do the minimal effort now needed.

I’m starting to feel like we might see a true shellacking of Harris on 11/5. The Democrats have a voter fraud plan that depends on keeping the legitimate votes inside the fraud margin. I know they COULD go bonkers and print 80M ballots, but that’s going to be obvious.

What needs to done is all the States registered voters should be totaled up and if the actual 2024 Presidential vote count far exceeds the total registered voters in the country then there was fraud. I saw a report that Ramaswamy floated my idea of a National Election Day Federal holiday. No more vote by mail, except narrow reasons like out of state military service and on duty first-responders.
You have to bribe people a bit. Everyone gets a paid day off. Vote in person in the registered precinct, no provisional ballots. No electronic voting machines, or, as a fall back, all data must be published with high resolution scans within 72 hours. And voting machine companies have zero right to deny a voter access to all data.
It should also be a Federal crime for any state prosecutor to prosecute citizens challenging election results in court.
If they give people a paid day off from work, I think it’ll have broad appeal.

I always follow Citizen Free Press (very similar to what Drudge used to be like before he contracted TDS), and I noticed today he has a barrage of articles about mail in ballots. He’s basically stating that the problem is that the ballots aren’t allowed to be counted in advance, and this is the main problem and reason for the delays. I must be crazy, but I think he’s looking at this all wrong. The time they start counting is irrelevant as far as I’m concerned. There should be very few mail-in ballots, aside from the military, elderly/disabled, etc. In particular, it says that most Arizona voters use mail-in ballots, but state law doesn’t allow early counting. I’m sorry, but is most of Arizona elderly or disabled? If not, get yourself to the polls and vote in person. How lazy can you be? I don’t trust these ballots, and I certainly don’t trust the “secure” dropboxes that they have placed who knows where.
They are counting them in Maryland. They have already had two canvass sessions.

Firstly… this has probably been said already, but I just wanted to mention some thoughts on what I’m seeing in the media of late regarding what some are saying is akin to “maybe the leftwing media is waking up, they seem to be pushing back on Kamala more and more! we’ve won!”…all breathless and so on.
Well, my black-pilled take is that this is (again) all carefully crafted head-fakery. The lefty media want to be able to say “well, we tried to tell everyone that she was kooky… look at all of our hard-hitting questions (tiny font: in the last 2 weeks of the cycle when the steal operation was too far down the road)”.
They’re trying to establish cover for their complicity in the upcoming steal that they have advance knowledge of.

I don’t remember where I read/saw it, but there was a theory floated that The Left would steal the election -for Trump- … in order to then ‘expose’ the steal and justify overturning the election. That way, they have ‘the high ground’ on both sides of the argument: “in 2020, the steal-hoax was just that, and we refuted it correctly! and in 2024, the steal was real and we refuted it correctly! ergo, you can trust us!” .. and then they dump out a box of sloppy-looking ‘steal dox’ that would only convince the average 3rd grader that he didn’t just eat a cookie that was really a mudpie. Some media dork will label it the ‘Steal Dossier Part Deux’ and think themselves clever.
Their pre-positioning statements such as ‘we expect to be counting ballots for at least 2 weeks’ is all to give them ample time to effect the ‘reverse-steal’, and run out the clock on legitimate legal remedies. They want Team Trump to be way out over their skis about winning so that when the ‘evidence’ is brought out, there is a huge outrage and feelings of betrayal and all that comes with it. This is no different than the fake-news stuff where they get some conservative public figure to buy into the fake-story that would purport to support the conservative view, only to ‘Lucy the football’ and yank the rug out and expose the fake-news behind it.
I realize how self-serving this whole gaggle of conspiracy theories sounds, but the fact that people even consider such a thing (reverse steal) would be possible tells you what you need to know about peoples’ trust in politics in general.
