UPDATE: We will continue bumping this thread to keep the communication lines available.
...”I live in the Western part of the US; reading these comments is like listening in on a (telephone) party line. This is the first I’ve heard firsthand live reports from the people directly affected. For the first time there is no canned, approved spoon fed mis-information delivered by the faceless and unaffected paid to be there.”….
Which is exactly the reason we keep this thread going!
As the areas in Eastern Tennessee, Western North Carolina and the Western gulf coast of Florida continue recovery operations from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, our thoughts are with those who are still impacted and dealing with the long-term recovery process.
If you have stability and the ability to communicate, we are wondering how you guys are doing.

Working with several ground groups, we have sent toolboxes and resources into the area for the arduous tasks that remain. There are many who feel overwhelmed; just know our thoughts and deepest prayers remain with you. It will get a little better every day.
Resourceful teams (mostly electrical restoration experts) who learned quickly after they helped the Puerto Rico Mountain areas in the aftermath of Hurricane Maria are doing amazing work reaching some of the more isolated areas. These are good friends with a git-r-done approach.
Eastern Tennessee power has mostly returned; however, approximately 23,500 of the 1.5 million customers that lost power, just in the Western North Carolina area still lack electricity as of today, according to Poweroutage.us. Additionally, there are still about 365,000 Floridians without power.
The power restoration in the dense mountain forests of WNC is slow going, some roads and bridges are completely washed away. According to the Associated Press report, “The crews aren’t doing what they typically do, which is a repair effort. They’re rebuilding from the ground up,” said Kristie Aldridge, vice president of communications at North Carolina Electric Cooperatives {link}.
There are widespread rumors and disparate reports of the overall death toll, at last count was well over 200. Anecdotal reports from people in the WNC region put the death toll much higher but are difficult to confirm. We do not want to spread rumors, yet we simultaneously accept this close to the election there is an unfortunate incentive for both federal and state emergency management officials to keep the death toll numbers hidden.
The bottom line is a concern for everyone in the impact areas. Therefore, ground reports are the most valuable. How are y’all doing?
Dear God of grace and strength, in the midst of uncertainty, fear and change we turn to You for stability and strength. Please grant us the wisdom and fortitude to navigate the unknown, the courage to face challenges, and the faith to trust Your divine plan.
Heavenly Father, let Your unwavering presence be our anchor in the aftermath of these storms. Grant us the resilience to face the challenges of recovery with grace and hearts filled with purpose. May we continue to find, patience, stability and fellowship in Your eternal love.
Thank You for guiding us through these uncertain times. In Jesus blessed and loving name we pray. ~ Amen.

We need a new wave of ground volunteers in Western Carolina. Many initial volunteers had to return home to jobs and families (which is understandable).
There’s so much that you can help with, for example, organizing donations so that they don’t go to waste.
****If you’re interested in volunteering please dm me.
I can direct you to the people on the ground who are asking for volunteers!****
I’m waitlisted at Samaritan’s Purse to go to Watauga County (northwest) Nov 1 – 7. October slots were full, as you could imagine, and the current set of deployments were only scheduled through Nov 1 as of a few weeks ago. I figured there will be a big need late this year and early next anyway… so we’ll see if they get back to me in a couple weeks…
FEMA’s probably only in Western North Carolina to prevent any ballots from being passed out.
FEMA was told to Stand- Down by DOD.
It’ll be great if you go, piddles.
You can give us on the ground reports!
They are calling for volunteers today Oct. 22. Maybe if you want to go before Samaritans Purse has an opening, try signing up with the Cajun Navy. They are on FB as Ground Force Humanitarian Aid. Stability.org is the site with all volunteers needed and where you sign up.
We are talking to every Spruce Pine Walmart customer about their needs. In three days, we have collected over 150 requests for help, we want to get these done before the brutal North Carolina winter kicks in.
We need you to get into your car, gas it up and drive here. Preregiser at Stability.org, then get into your car and get here.
We will house and feed you.
Don’t think, drive.

Wow. Hadn’t read this before I virtually repeated this.
From the mouth of babes (the video).
With the influx of support surrounding our efforts in NC I’ve had a lot of people msg me about how they can get started with disaster relief.
The answer is, you just begin.
Don’t box yourself in with your current profession, just get after what it is you want to do.
DANG!!!!
Somebody’s GOT to get this to REAL VSGPDJT!!!
Wow!!
This little guy is awesome.
The “unfound”…many who are likely in reefers.
#WNC and eastern TN missing people list from groups on Social Media. The numbers don’t add up to what we’re officially being told.
I understand that not all missing should be considered as deaths and I pray that they are all found alive. But who’s looking for these people?
I saw a report from Jovan Pulitzer, who has a charity assisting in NC. He says the govt is not going to include anyone they can’t identify. However, reports are that there are numerous trucks with bodies stacked up inside. Also, they continue to order hundreds of body bags. Anyone who is not found will not be included as “dead,” in addition to those who are not identified. (Sort of like covid, but worse.) The other issue is there are lots of trees that could be sent to saw mills for wood to rebuild, but the powers that be are refusing to let anyone clear it, cut it or keep it. Everything must be sent to the landfill or be burned. What is the sense of that?
There is no sense it burning it all. It was going to Germany to burn because their windmills and solar are 2-4% of the need for fuel. They won’t have nuclear or icky coal so they burn wood. Wood is considered a renewable resource. They also burn lignite which is wood but more condensed than fresh wood.
Yes, pretty sure that report was in one of our earlier update threads regarding only counting “identified” – which allows them to hide the truth of the magnitude of loss caused…
In regards to the trees – have been saying since day one that it would be great if some of the chainsaw mill manufacturers would donate some setups in order to make use of the trees to help rebuild. As far as “the powers that be” – if the trees are on ones land, they don’t have squat they can say. Even if it wasn’t, would personally still tell them to pound sand. The only trees that there might be a valid reason to caution their use would be those which traveled down stream in areas there were toxins released.
The ‘mockingbird media’ is EVIL.
Look at the power of that river after #Helene. How fast do you suppose it was going? I wonder what the actual force was? Then compare that to now.
Is this the FORMER Chestoa crossing of the Nolichucky River near Johnny’s…just south of Erwin? If so, this is the water that DESTROYED my house and ALL of our possessions…we were about a mile downstream.
Thank the Lord you are still with us. The pictures and videos are mind boggling.
Praise God you are alive!!!
NO THANKS to local officials, who gave us NO advance warning or evacuation order…fortunately, we were able to use the brains we were born with, and realized the rapidly-rising water in the basement was a STRONG SIGN that it was time to grab the kitties, and bail…so to speak. BARELY got out. God is SO merciful.
What do you and yours, as well as others like you need? I trust those who live there more than all the talking heads combined.
The COMMUNITY of Erwin has done a very effective job in providing for most people’s immediate needs, and were doing so when the ‘Corporate relief agencies’ showed up…at which point things began to deteriorate. TEMA ‘consolidated’ all donations and relocated those donations to Bristol Motor Speedway. So much for that…gov ruins EVERYTHING. My suggestions as stated elsewhere…Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Blessing, or
VISA cash cards to a church you can TRUST in the region. As for me and mine? We’re good…we are blessed.
God bless you!!! I’m still praying for y’all. Sent $5k to Samaritan’s Purse. Would love to help personally, but as retirees, and with 2/3 of our family members with chronic, long-term medical conditions, I think we’d just get in the way!!!
God bless you richly! I wish members of the Hurricane Relief Industrial Complex had this level of common sense! The PEOPLE ask specifically for certain charities…Samaritan’s Purse, Operation Blessing, local churches, even “CASH IS KING” (VISA cards) IF you can find someone you TRUST to distribute such cards. However, the HRIC, thru their agents in the Mockinbird Media continue to aggressively pimp Red Cross (check out my personal encounter with them up thread), United Way, and FEMA (spit!!!) YOUR donation will be used MOST effectively for the people!
Final answer – yes.
Young lady describes how one man survived by using a fridge as a raft and what the people in houses nearby had to do…
She says the city “forgot to send out emails ” regarding the severity of the storm, there was no evacuation order, no nothing.
I bet they were all ‘away’ somewhere doing something important. spit
What city??? This happened to us in Erwin, TN…no NOTHING (except for ‘key wealthy neighbors in the ‘hood.)
The video says Hope Valley, NC. Is that near Erwin?
I was on the phone with people who were seeing it in real time, while the county was simultaneously telling people all was well.
Please watch. Ryan is coordinating to help this community. There’s more information in the thread. Rodney is a beautiful human. Your generous gifts have gone a long way. Much love. Community is everything.

I clicked the link to check donations. They have raised quite a bit more than original goal, so there is good progress. As I understand it from the video, all they want is enough money to feed the crews and buy diesel fuel. God Bless them.
Want to volunteer? We want you to join us!
Medical professionals: [email protected] to get on the schedule.
All hands on deck.

The beauty of God is all around…
“I sat on the floor of a barn with some WNC hurricane survivors…
We talked about how good God was. They said they knew that they could rebuild.
They told me when the sun rose the next day to climb to the top of the hill…“
I’m tearing up just watching and reading the words. Beautiful. We can’t forget beauty in all of this. They need beauty within the devastation. Beautiful post. Thanks for sharing.
Bless you for sharing this hopeful message!

Mentioned yesterday that we finally located our house…didn’t find ye olde septic tank, however. Ick. I’d bet the septic tanks at the ‘camping resorts’went right into the river. Happy Kayaking, folks!
Saw that last night…wouldn’t go in the river or anywhere downstream for at least 6 months. FHY – if the raging river video is where you think it is, it wiped out the building behind (river side) the Baptist church and a lot of trees and bushes along the bank – but quite possible.

When I was back there I worked out of First Baptist Church in Spruce Pine (pastor Rocky Branch) and Victory Baptist Church in Burnsville (pastor Barry Jenkins). Met both Pastors and both are doing great things. Recommend both or either. Both have websites with contact info. Both areas hit really hard.
You worked there for this disaster?

LIVE: PRESIDENT TRUMP HOLDS A RALLY IN GREENSBORO, NC – 10/22/24
President Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America, will hold a rally in Greensboro, North Carolina on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at 7:00 p.m. EDT.
Watch LIVE on RSBN starting at 1:00 p.m. ET. The start time is subject to change.
RSBN will have their normal great coverage.
Just want to say Thank You to all! You’re in my prayers. My youngest Son is on his way somewhere today to help. I’m leaving soon to Virginia to watch my two little Grandsons. And thanks especially to Sundance and the Treepers. May GOD bless you All
Needed that young man’s ‘singing’ Rich Men North of Richmond
Gr8 song. And true!
He’s there! Working and singing!
Sure shows my ignorance.
A lot of people don’t know because the news has all but stopped reporting on it. But that is Oliver Anthony and he has been volunteering in Black Mountain, NC at Silverados which is a donation hub for the area. They were hit very bad in Black Mtn. So many people doing miracles.
There are NO coincidences in government-corporate schemes.
🚨 IT ONLY TOOK BLACKROCK 27 DAYS TO STEAL THE NORTH CAROLINA LAND
BlackRock increased their position in Albemarle up to 12 million (12,183,614) shares.
DoD enters agreement with Albemarle and provides $90 million to open the NC mine.
Albemarle submitted State and Federal Permits for Kings Mountain, North Carolina lithium mining.
Albemarle received $250 million in grants from the departments of Defense and Energy to boost lithium production.
Hurricane Helene hits North Carolina with ravaging floods and total devastation.
Local homeowners were protesting against the mining in North Carolina. Their homes and properties were destroyed.
Chile is one of Albemarle’s other prime mining locations
There is nothing wrong with having money, but when you use it to abuse people, you should be sued back to middle class level. Someone with a heart and soul needs to start a class action. BlackRock has to be destroyed.
Sued into Tent City!
Or lower!
No. You should be sued back to the living -on-the-street level, and be grateful for a concrete room in the same circumstances as the J6-ers for the remainder of your miserable life!!
They’re IDIOTS!!! Guess they don’t know no one can take power, fame, or wealth with you when you die. We ALL have to face Our Lord in Judgement!!
FOOLS!!!!
KIngs Mt. is not in the area of Helene Destruction. It is South of Charlotte near the NC/SC line.
If these companies can make the takeovers of valuable mineral mines then they can use technology that was developed years ago to “steer and seed” storms. This was a once in a millenium strike. And, how about that, just when lithium is at a premium! Fire in Lahaina. How many land grabbers showed up to “help” the residents by buying up their land?
Simply put, there is a special place in Hades for all of these people. Greed over the lives of fellow human beings. Selfishness over humanity. May God deliver to these people the justice which they deserve.
A massive, major lithium find was just announced in Araknsas.
Cue the next hurricane ….
DoD huh? My gut-mind axis tells me they didn’t want the NC rare earths to use in batteries for vehicles for we serfs to drive.
They want them for the “Battlefield of Tomorrow” terminators, drones and machine gun dogs that are in the works to bash us into submission.
I and a lot of people agree with your intuition. …
Dragon fruit and kimchi!
BASTARDS is too kind a word. I hope and pray these Judases can be held accountable, before Our Lord handles them!!!!
I sure hope and pray our VSGPDJT is able, with God’s help, make things right, although their family members cannot be brought back!!!
We were located toward the top of this photo where the interstate curves up to the right in the distance…we also crossed the river TWICE on the interstate bridge in the foreground BEFORE it collapsed. Impact Plastics (where six died) in lower left corner, next to interstate.
Glad you survived!
St Lucie is ok, where I am at-haven’t seen Ft Pierce or Vero. Early voting- no parking…too crowded! Few yard signs. Might take a drive tomorrow.
I spoke with a woman today in Knox, TN. She was from NC outside of Burnsville. She and her husband were shopping, and i in casual conversation, she said her her brother-in-law was helping out by trying to clear roads and debris. She said that the word on the ground is true: 10 or more days for FEMA to show up; they are not in a central location and they want people to apply online for assistance even though many can’t get out (roads gone or covered with debris) and still don’t have power or internet. As much as the media and social media continue to say otherwise, I’m trusting the people who are actually there. Prayers to all of those still in harm’s way. Know that we keep you close in our thoughts.
Here’s a video done by a Burnsville artist in which he records the massive river rise that took away everything he had. The power if the water is astounding.
Horrific !
The water is higher in my river system than in what is my understanding was a catastrophic flood much worse than what I am seeing now. Something doesn’t jive.
The local news stations report 1 thing, and our less than reputable water “management” district says something else, then I look at the NO WAKE sign being submerged and I talk to the horse people down the road who have all had to get their animals to friends pastures over toward Ocala.
As the water continues to rise, the less I hear of anything helpful from the “Authorities”.. I am scouring hurricane prediction models for any hint of development in the next 2 weeks.
If we get any more action around here, I will be above the flood but quite literally on an island.
The water that fell in between Tampa and Orlando will take 2.5 weeks to get to us..
It is scary to watch the water rise and not be able to do anything about it. Our street was high for three days. Maybe our next few vacations should be paying for the Flood Balloons like Tampa General and Manatee Memorial. Hearing the stories of destruction is so very sad and frankly tiring. I have many clients who will freeze in the snow rather than enjoy the sunshine of FL. I find myself sighing so often during the day and just sad. Oh and our AC died two days ago. At least my roof stayed on tightly. Watch out for the scammers! We had three calls for a free evaluation.
DEI has been going on a lot longer than most people realize, it just didn’t have a name. My opinion based on personal experience and observation: 75-80% of all gubmint employees in administrative positions would not be missed if they were all fired tomorrow, and 25-30% of all others would not be missed if they were fired tomorrow.
I have actually had city gubmint manager types tell me that a gubmint job is for life if you want it. Can’t be fired except under extraordinary circumstances. Why would anyone not take a job, or quit? Malfeasance, unethical activities, and just plain stealing don’t result in someone losing their job. They are moved to a different position in the gubmint and life goes on. No accountability at all. One heck of a lot more oversight and auditing is needed, at the very least.
Ron! Just swapped out 4 movers and shakers in our management district because he wants to jam a massive data processing center/ industrial park in a green pastoral corner of a nearby County.
They need tons of freshwater to run through their cooling system only to contaminate the water with PFAS type chemicals.
I am sure the new appointments are total goofballs meant to grease the skids on water quality issues when they arise.
I read that Elon will be taking care of that if all goes as planned! Can’t wait….
And you get every holiday, real or imagined, off w/pay.

My apologies if the attached video clip on Twitter/X has already been posted/discussed. I cannot believe this video can be real? Shows a dozen men employed by Govt Customs Border Control doing the job of maybe 2 guys during Hurricane Milton relief. Again, almost impossible to believe that the video is real. Treepers please confirm or debunk the veracity of this video clip.
Here ya go, OO. This vid was posted here previously, with comments, and to my knowledge no one thought it to be fake. Your tax dollars at work! Don’t worry about double posting, this thread is long. Anyhooo . . . I saw it on another site as well and they have some good analysts. So sorry that I cannot debunk for you. Would be nice though, huh?

Is there an “Unidentified deceased count”? Or an “Missing Persons” list?
Toward the top of this page, Harrison posted a video from Kelly McCarty titled Why Can’t I Trust the Media and there is a long list of missing (with photos so have a tissue handy).
There’s been a running missing and found list someone started that is updated regularly of REPORTED missing and found (be they alive or deceased). It currently stands at over 600 missing.
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Pp41yMpPeMvZShN11xXAZdB3-6wu_cZyAB-QxgUoeEw/edit?gid=1030211139#gid=1030211139
Note it is NOT a comprehensive list – only one of people reported missing to the list keeper.
I am working when I can for Samaritan’s Purse in Port Charlotte. They will be there through Nov 30.
People who flew in from across the States are beginning to trickle back to their homes.
Reinforcements will be needed. If you have some time and are inclined, consider volunteering, even if just for a morning or afternoon to get a taste.
It’s going to take a long time to get near what was…
“Y’all have got to know what is going on. We’re not ok…”
The people of North Carolina need your help now.
Don’t let the MSM paint a picture of recovery. Not even close to that yet… we’re still trying to help people survive…
Raw – but honest…
Previously a text story – now a video…
This is the worst event Ive heard, ever. I can’t fathom this man’s suffering that lived to tell it as he was buried up to his neck and his family was buried under him. May God have mercy on him and bring him comfort.

I am so proud to tell you that the Iraqi Christian Relief Council @iraqichristian NGO is donating $8600 to Black Mountain Home to help with hurricane recovery efforts.
West Virginian’s show up to do what the NC Governor and Harris/Biden won’t do…
I really appreciate this response…
FEMA should be bringing in winterized tents and temp shelter for the Appalachian people…..
But they aren’t….
Kentucky farmers add their voice to that of the American people helping. Farmers from as far away as NY and TX have been doing the same.
Watched this four times. And all I could think was, “We have NOT lost our country yet!”
A lot of good men did something.
Volunteers welcome.
…and people still making first contact after the storm. But according to one person that came on recently “all the roads are open and no help is needed…” :///
Volunteers partner with Shelby Twp. Lions Club to assist hurricane victims in North Carolina
Garvonic, a Roseville native, said the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office has coordinated the donation to a sheriff’s office in North Carolina to help with the distribution of the donated items.

Huntdale, NC is destroyed. Ug the old store!
At 2,058 feet, this little community of Mitchell County, was named by a man whose wife Dale, frequently ran off
He’d go looking for her, telling neighbors he was off to “hunt Dale”
There is an abundance of supplies in central locations – but there are areas that remain barely hanging on because they are isolated and the only way in is walking and climbing
Conditions in NC are maddening.
Yes, there are TONS of supplies, but remote areas, which are cut off, are still not getting them.
It takes ropes and ladders to get into some areas….the logistics of this are what nightmares are made of….
People are hungry, this is this week.
Is there a way to get a cash donation to this group?
Will keep an eye out…
I sense some frustration in your various posts, which I share with my whole heart! At this point I want to help small groups who in turn are helping individuals. Yesterday I got a Sam’s Purse catalogue in the mail and was quite annoyed that ALL the gifts go to other countries. Absolutely nothing for Americans, most especially the hurricane survivors. Will keep checking back here every day to see if you and Harrison can identify the small groups. Blessings.
Fionnagh, yes, a little frustrated that it takes so much time to search for the small groups. I’m working on it. Below is a link that I posted previously. For this reply, I copy/pasted below a couple of shorts from the article. But to totally understand you’ll need to open the link. I called Shannon Fischer yesterday. She actually answered the phone and we talked for a few minutes. She was going to email me a current list of needed items but I have not yet received her email. Will check back with her. However, I’ll probably just make a cash donation for fuel. I wanted to send a check in the snail mail. She said to put a note or plainly state FOR FUEL DONATION so that they would know that she (Shannon) had directed me there. She is not physically located at that small airport, but is coordinating the effort. I’m also trying to get in touch with a small group in TN that’s not getting much attention, and a couple of others. My first round choices are pretty stocked now, or as in the case of Mountain Mule Packers, have finished and gone home (need to confirm). Hope you hit the bell for replies so that you’ll see this. Will post info of other small groups if I’m able to make the connections.
https://www.post-journal.com/news/local-news/2024/10/county-launches-hurricane-relief-effort/
With a small 3,001-foot runway, the Avery County Airport is serving as a donation collection center. Small planes are flying goods in, and helicopters are distributing them to cut-off areas.
“We have local flight school pilots ready to fly items down, but there’s a weight limit on small planes, so we’re also exploring truck shipments for larger items,” Fischer explained.
In addition to physical donations, monetary donations are needed to help offset the high cost of fuel and transportation. Donations can be sent directly to the Avery County Airport Authority to support ongoing relief efforts for NC at Avery County Airport Authority, C/O Samuel Calvert (Chairman), 202 Little Cow Camp Road,
Newland, NC 28657.
For more information, call Shannon Fischer at 716-661-8930.
Fionnagh, Shannon also told me that the choppers that are flying supplies to the areas that are cut off are private pilots, many local. That’s why they need money for fuel.
Another VERY salty one – the man is speaking from the heart.
This guy speaks for so many in Appalachia, it isn’t funny. Hear the frustration here at the Treehouse…you won’t hear it on most ‘conservative’ sites. Authorities in Erwin TN gave us NO WARNING; leaving us to drown…but we ‘got away’. But how many didn’t? The lying authorities say 225 dead…really? How many really died? How many were LEFT TO DIE in the Blue Ridge? God Bless this guy!
Thank you Harrison for compiling and sharing all these videos, and testimonials. I really appreciate you also getting information on where help is needed as well as where it is available to survivors.
I’m not very techie, so to me that is a great deal of work on your part.
God Bless you. 🙏❤️
A modest proposal…remember those COVID checks? The money was deposited in our checking accounts without any applications necessary? Well…how about this? This is the skeletal foundation of the ‘American Flood Victim Recovery Act’…processed by Zip Code…if you were in a Zip Code affected by Helene (or Milton), you qualify…simple as that. Did you LOSE a family member? 1 million dollars EACH. Suffer a physical disability? Lose a limb, an eye, or such? $500,000. Displaced, home and possessions gone? $250,000. Displaced, rental home and possessions gone? $100,000. Home damaged, possessions damaged? $75,000. Rental damaged, possessions damaged, $50,000. If you are undamaged but live in a Flood Zone Zip Code, $10,000 for the trauma. The money goes right into your checking account.
How do we pay for this? Cut off ALL foreign aid on a TEMPORARY BASIS UNTIL AMERICAN VCTIMS are made as whole as possible. Impose tariffs on ALL imports UNTIL AMERICANS are made whole. I understand many personal items can’t be replaced, but I believe this would be a step in the right direction. Thoughts? Feedback? Tweaks? Post them here.
I like that idea.
Once again…I would like to dig down into these videos and read the comments that were posted on ‘X’, but I do NOT have an account. Do you NEED an account? Someone provided links the other day to read the comments on a particular ‘X’ post, but I couldn’t replicate the effort.
I’m not on X but my good friend who is on it said that, yes, you have to have an account to see everything.
Thank you!
Yes – replace the part that is “twitter.com” or that is “x.com” with “nitter.poast.org” and presto 😉
Thank you. That worked. I asked my friend why he said only way to see all was with X account and he said he thought I meant to see all tweets. Bad comms. Thx for clarification. Comes in handy.
The rivers are cresting in Florida: Withlacoochee, Peace, Alafia. Water is still rising. Makes me wonder if pasture flooding is a reason for very little milk, cream and eggs in 3 different Publix grocery stores in St Petersburg, Fl where I recently shopped.
Helene’s surge caused extensive damage which was piled up along the roadside awaiting pickup by sanitation. County says stuff cannot be dumped at county site secondary to FEMA agreement (of course thats makes zero sense) . There is a massive wall of debris alongside roads in the “A” Evacuation zones that have been sitting there now since Helene made landfall on September 26, 2024 in the Big Bend area of Florida’s Gulf coast about 200 miles north of St. Petersburg. Hurricane Milton made landfall on October 10-just south of St Petersburg sparing the Pinellas peninsula of even greater flooding disaster. And, amazingly, not much Helene debris moved with the heavy winds. I guess the heavier rainfall , 16 Inches weighed the debris down just enough!
Storm weary evacuees are bravely and patiently carrying on with their clean up. Large dump trucks, haulers, front loaders are needed to pick up the debris as well as areas identified for dumping it. I wonder how long before Shore Acres residents begin to shove their items into Tampa Bay to build their own dam around their neighborhood. Solve 2 problems at one-debris gone, barrier built.. This low lying community has recently suffered several especially difficult floods and residents are exhausted. Officials’ attention to long term solutions is nil. (As is their iniativ, intelligence, diligence.) who knows? It could become the next “ecotourism” project ala stacked cars along the Tuckaseegee river front to preserve the river embankment near Bryson City, NC. Of course, all of us who are really pleased with the progress made in cleaning up Tampa Bay over the decades are seeking better solutions. Nonetheless, get ready Gulf coast residents. I anticipate some pretty nasty red tides in our future.

Withlacoochee, that is a mouthful. Seminole?
Cadaver dog. This person states had to sign NDA regarding possible contamination. Who made them sign? Is that common practice?
I own an elderly (1998) Itaska 32′ class A motorhome.
I would donate it to anyone who would like to have it in the
FUBAR zone.
I would drive it to FUBAR zone from Cincinnati, OH.
I need a ride back or a ride to an airport flying to CVG.
I will deliver a free and clear title.
I would need $1 and as-is/where is statement from the receiving entity.
Do not need tax receipt.

It had $6k repairs to the 454 engine and anti-lock breaks in Tacoma, WA and it runs very well. New engine alternator.
All the original manuals are on board.
I do not need a valuation receipt.
I have respiratory issues and I would not want to live in it but to warm up and have a hot meal and shower and a nap might be nice. Aft berth is a queen and the couch opens to a bed. Captain chairs are comfortable for a nap.
Couch has seat belts. NO passenger seat belt.
I drove it to Cincinnati area from Tacoma Washington about 2500 miles
and it runs very well. Front end is lose and needs tie rod ends but see
previous sentence. Tires are nearly new but no working spare. Wheel bent
in pothole and tire may or may not be OK.
70 mph cross winds in Wyoming damaged the skin (was a wild ride LOL) and
it is in my opinion beyond economic repair.
New house and starter batteries. They have been maintained.
Operational:
Water system works.
Water heater works.
Shower works.
Bathtub works.
Head works.
Range works.
Furnace works.
Microwave works.
Interior and exterior lights work.
Has extender hose to connect external LPG tank. LPG tank is fullish.
Inop.
Tank levels system inaccurate.
Refrigerator does not work in any mode.
RTU’s do not work. (Front may be repairable. Rear is dead.)
TV is old CRT tube type.
Dash radio needs re-installed.
Generator works when/if it wants to.
I will change generator oil and filter to see if that helps after the oil sloshesh around on a road trip..
I will replace kitchen faucet so kitchen sink is functional.
The bathroom has been smoked in but has escaped into the general areas.
I will provide odor remover spray but no idea how effective that would
be. Bathroom vent fan needs a new motor. Main house ceiling fan works
with an alligator clip to make the connection.
Like most old RV’s the roof has leaked so I
would expect mold to one degree or another.
(I sealed bathroom skylight)
If somone wants her I will create a throw away email address so you can contact me.
Mycroft
Awesome!
Mycroft, in a post by Harrison on page 9 of this thread, Precision Grading requested the need for campers, RV’s. Below is the contact number that is in that video. This particular RV request, as I understand it, is for a couple of vets who lost their main home in another town AND their camper here on this land–I think it is in Green River Cove, NC. Pretty sure he knows of more than one need. He indicated there would be logistical help. I could make a contribution to help with travel expenses. He said CALL:

Voicemail box full.

Valley Hope Church Hurricane FundAs you know, Hurricane Helene caused massive devastation across multiple states, but the hardest hit areas are in Appalachia. A few small towns surrounding Swannanoa & Asheville were nearly erased from existence. In these areas, people lost everything, the worst of the loss was family & friends. They are left picking up the pieces of their lives, with nothing. They need the basics of course, food & shelter for certain. But they also lost their ability to continue normal everyday life. Cars and houses were swept away, the things they used for work or to communicate and survive were also lost. Vehicles, computers, phones, tools, clothing and so much more. Children lost everything. Toys, books, games and devices to complete school work on.
Valley Hope Church is right in the middle of this. They are fighting to help these communities. They are not getting the volume of support they need. Please consider donating whatever you feel led to, so they can help the community rebuild. 100% of donations will go to the church to be used for those impacted by the Hurricane.

Don’t let the MSM move on from this. There’s so much work to be done.
