I will never forget Trump’s characteristically courtly “after you” gesture to Dr. Carson when they were both left behind the curtain after the stampede of the lesser beings running over one another in their rush to be first prancing out onto the stage. Obviously Ben Carson as never foorgotten it, either.
YES!! Everyone else on that stage walked past Dr Carson! Including Jeb! and Ted Cruz…
Remember Jeb!’s smirky, “oh, well, loser” glance and shoulder shrug as he walked past Dr. Carson?
I already didn’t want a 3rd Bush, but in that moment, Jeb! looked like a sore winner.

IIRC, the most brutal debate takedowns of 2016 were Trump vs. Jeb! Trump was flat-out vicious in 2016. Jeb looked just pole-axed so many times. Trump told him maybe his mom Barbara should be running instead.

I don’t know how large the trend is, but I’ve never seen so many black men endorsing a Republican candidate, whether black or white. And when Mr. Trump cooked fries and handed food to customers today at a McDonald’s drive-through window, black customers and employees seemed to respond positively to him.
He has a deft touch with ordinary people, displaying no phoniness or condescension, and that may appeal to working-class blacks, and not just to whites.
He’s also fearless — after two failed assassination attempts, he stood at that drive-through window and greeted customers with complete aplomb. It must have given the Secret Service heartburn.
Noticing those guys are suddenly all over him like white on rice. It’s about time!
