I feel awkward asking, but a friend contacted me last night with news that her partner was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He is a young, healthy man and will soon be undergoing treatment. I told her that I would offer up my prayers for him. Thank you.

A Day hemmed in 🙏 seldom unravels

My sister Susan passed away yesterday after a two year battle with lymphoma and leukemia. Please pray for her.

Please continue to pray for the victims of Hurricane Helene in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia. At this point, many of them feel completely abandoned by our government, and rightfully so, and some in western NC felt abandoned by the American people. They are only now finding out that some local government officials are turning away groups bringing food, water, cleaning supplies, building materials, etc. There are “approved” provider lists (translated for the willfully ignorant–if you aren’t kicking back to the government or supplying at least an equal amount fo government desired causes, you shouldn’t be allowed to help). I guess the people of western Tennessee and eastern North Carolina should be appreciative of the magnanimous offer of $750 from our government in order to find a place to live and buy food and clothing. The people of Lahaina were likely equally as appreciative. The poor people of East Palestine didn’t get that much and this administration has done little to nothing to help them either.
In every case, these are hard-working honest people who paid their taxes and supported their country. Many, if not most, are deeply religious people as well. It would appear that this plays a role in why they are being abandoned. Most of us can not pick up and go to help dig these people out. We can support organizations that have been there from the time Helene was winding down–Samaritan’s Purse and the East Tennessee Society in particular. If possible, box up cleaning supplies, toiletries, soaps, towels, diapers, food and water and send them to one of these two organizations. Above all, continue to pray for these people. They need it and appreciate it. They need to know that WE THE PEOPLE care about them even if their government cares more about illegal invaders and Ukrainians (which is where FEMA has spent billions of our tax dollars the past few years–which brings about a burning question–we have just begun a new fiscal year this week yet FEMA has no money?????)

Our neighbor’s mother passed away late in the evening last night. We saw the ambulance lights and immediately prayed for “Nanna”. May she rest in peace.

Still hanging in there, 9 months from initial diagnosis. Was given 2- 6 months timeline for life
Opted for palliative care only.

GOD (and CTH prayers) has granted me extra time to spend with loved ones.

For a friend’s grandson who was born premature two days ago. His lung collapsed and is on a ventilator.

Pray for all those who struggle with drugs, both illegal and prescription drugs. They a are used by the devil as a tool to destroy and ruin lives and families.

Please help me pray for Norma beloved wife and mother who has had 4 surgeries for colon cancer and its back again. Her cancer is a weird one that they don’t have chemo for.

Also, Kitty 81 who is in terrible pain in her back and has learned she has kidney cancer. Also her husband Bill my cousin 84 who needs a pacemaker but won’t do it. Also, my cousin Joe who is alone and now has been hospitalized 4 times in the past few months for passing out from unknown causes. So many illnesses so much sorrow. In Jesus name we pray for divine mercy.

I contacted the owner of a small country kennel we used to use in Sugar Grove which is a few minutes outside of Boone, NC. She lost the kennel and barn with 5ft of mud and water. The mudslide knocked out the small bridge to her property and her well. Water was up to the ceiling in her basement. Right now she is trying to save her home from ruin which is also located on the property and has no power or water. Thankfully she and her husband survived, and she was able to rescue the 15 “guests” who were staying at the kennel. Please hold her and the community in your prayers.

I would like to share a Rumble site I came across earlier this year – Julie Green Ministries. (I believe it was divine providence that I found her show). She gives hope and uplifting messages and starts each days with bible passages for encouragement. She incorporates her daily show with several bible passages that work with her daily talk. I learn a lot each time I watch her and feel so uplifted. She incorporates current events into her prayers.

She does not beg for money and is very open about her personal struggles (health) and how Jesus called her and her personal testament story that keep her from suicide. Very powerful speaker and recently had Eric Trump on her show.

A friend was just found to have multiple brain tumors. He just arrived at M.D. Anderson in Houston for more tests. Pray that the Lord will guide him and the physicians to a successful cure.

For good friends in extreme north-central WY along MT border in the path of the Elk Fire. They are stout-hearted and ready to go but could use a break from the fickle winds. Praying their path through this is a smooth one.

My youngest was told yesterday her job with a local church had been phased out and that she had an hour to clear out her office. She had been there for two years and is heartbroken. Her lease is up at the end of the year as well. Please pray for open doors and for her to not take this as a personal failure.

Friends, today the Lord burdened my heart to write these words.
I pray they minister to someone:

God, the Father, created every person in His image.
Because He loves us unconditionally, the Lord wants us to spend eternity with Him in heaven. 

Heaven is where Holy God dwells and there is NO sin there.
Since people are born sinners, we cannot be in the presence of Holy God with our sins.
We need to be cleansed from our filthy sins, washed white as snow, and made new.

That’s why Jesus, God’s Son, came to earth – to save us.
By living a perfect life – without sin – He endured the bloody cross on our behalf.
The Lamb of God, Jesus, took our sins upon Himself … 
Then, God raised Him from the dead, and He ascended back into heaven.

By accepting His sacrificial death in our place, we are forgiven and made righteous in God’s sight.
God delivers us from the dominion of darkness, and brings us into the kingdom of His Son where we receive redemption and forgiveness.
Then, the Lord God adopts us into His family, and we become His child.
All because of Jesus.

God promises eternal life with Him – for all who call on His Son as Lord, and believe that God raised Him from the dead.
There is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved. 
The name of Jesus. 
There is no other way to eternal life with God … but God’s way – by accepting His Son as our Savior.

May the Lord God be merciful to us – we are sinners in need of His salvation.
May He draw us to Himself, open our eyes, soften our hearts, and reveal Truth to us.
May God help us believe His Word, the Truth – also, help our unbeliefs.

Today if you hear His Voice, do not harden your heart.
Instead, invite Him in.
God loves you.

Call on Him today for Salvation, while it is today.
It is the most important decision we ever make in life.
You will never regret it!

Prayers up for Florida…in a special way, family, friends and Treepers…

Have been weighing the pros and cons of heading to my homestead in FL…am thinking its best to wait. So many variables but the biggest would be the availability of gasoline to ‘get there’….with the impending evacuations.

Given the ‘unknowns’…am going to wait and see what happens and think about it later…(am tapping into “My inner Scarlett”)….I could do Betsy’s famous photo of Scarlet and her “southern stare”….that might keep the storm away?

Dear Lord, Please cast your protections on those in the way of the storm. Keep the the people and animals safe, especially the emergency workers. Please imbibe in people a continued desire to help their neighbors and keep frustrations and tempers in check. Please bring peace and strength to those who need it. Please bring continued faith in You, as well. And if it be Your Will, please keep the damage to a manageable level. Dear Lord, while we don’t understand the things that happen, we do know that You love us all very much. Help us to remains strong and faithful. Amen.
