Great photo, but……..We’ve been so impacted by bees lately.(several types including little desert bees) They inundate the many hummingbird feeders we hang. They have started swarming and have found their way into our straw bale wall. Every other day one of us gets stung. Grrrrrr!
I hate to kill them; they’re so necessary to even our own little orchard. I keep a strainer in the hot tub to fish them out. Little buggers bite the hand that feeds them.

Soooo late getting back on here. I simply can’t keep up with the happenings on the Tree right now. I’m lucky to pop in and say “howdy” then to high-tail to the next action on the “to do” list that seems a mile long.
We did go ahead and receive our absentee ballots. Glad I did that because there were some judicial candidates that I needed to do a little background on. I voted for all but one to be re-elected, mainly for their stance on the abortion issue… but there was one judge who I refrained from voting on, as he is the son of a former politician and that politician had all his campaign finance info scrubbed. Well, if you gotta hide it, then you probably shouldn’t be doing it. That man’s son will not get my vote.
My vote was highly controversial this time around, but I simply must stand by my faith and the knowledge that God is the highest power and He Will have His final say on things. No more straight tickets for me – not ever again. It took me two solid hours to go through all the picks, digging, digging on backgrounds and influencers. Some candidates, I refrained from filling in the oval – there are some “friendlies” who are evil and will never get my vote.
Kiddo’s first time voting and she was proud as punch. Made sure to discuss the options, pros and cons, and made sure she knew it was HER choice. We mailed ours before leaving town – because in this day and age – one never knows what the future will hold.
Stay steady through this storm, friend. Our God is an awesome God and He can calm the seas for us. Our job is to just TRUST – not to solve it all. He Is Faithful.

My father’s birthday (RIP) is in October. Every year, his cake was extra special in that it was four cake layers – two chocolate, two orange – German chocolate frosting (coconut and pecan) in between, fudge frosting on the outside, with orange jelly slice candies adorning the cake. He so loved it when I baked that for him. It was best kept in the ice box and was delicious ice cold. The thing was a mile high.
Might need to resurrect that one this year. I so miss him, but am glad he’s not here. He would be hell on wheels. God was merciful to take him when He did.

Praying you and Lloyd are well and that he is improving. Have I missed any further updates? Last I read, his balance was a bit iffy and was prone to falling. Sure do hope he’s being a good patient, taking time to rest and restore, and the docs are being of good help. The mind is willing, but the body may protest.
We had an incredible time. It’s taking us a few days to get “over” it. We are both worn plumb out. It was pretty humbling and emotional to be blessed so and I think all the excitement really gave us an ‘over the top’ high.
The “back to reality” has kiddo lamenting that we don’t just up and move to St. Louis. Central Indiana feels so spiritually dark to us and strangely “captive”. I keep trying to tell her that St. Louis felt “freeing” because we were on vacation and were oblivious to its political constraints and boundaries (for instance, we traveled everywhere because we had no idea where the “dangerous” or “bad” parts of the city were – even their ghetto areas were warm and inviting to us – maybe because we were fearless within them?), but if we were working and handling the daily grind there, we might view it differently as time wore on. The people there were simply welcoming and nice!
I don’t know… fact is… we just don’t feel at “home”. Can’t see how anyone can feel like this mess is “home” for those who are Believers. The lawlessness and depravity is “foreign” to us and simply not something we want to support or be part of. We saw too much in Indiana and thus feel like we have zero representation and the dipshits in charge are delusional with their self-grandeur. Can’t wait for God to knock them on their arses.
All these tilt up warehouses built up around us here in Central Indiana – and the Section 8 housing they forced on Whitestown in the form of low cost apartments – all within the last 12 months – are now reaping what they sewn. Had the first shooting – a 20 year old killed a 17 year old while we were away over the weekend in the sleepy little town of Whitestown – not two miles or so from where we live. Walking distance. The powers that seem imported all the B.S. and now our town is degrading. Sad, foregone conclusion. The same apartment complex was just swatted with 5 police cars yesterday possibly related to the shooting investigation. Neighbors are on edge – and everyone is angry and nasty.
Apartments are going up everywhere – you can’t even see a view anymore. Bland upon bland. Built up with spit and toilet paper with plastic flex tube for plumbing. More and more people who don’t speak English – and aren’t even trying.
Farmland is gone and its disappearance has been abrupt and absolute. It sickens me.

I wish I would have pulled her sooner – knew what I know now – then. Not sure how many of the learning gaps can be remedied, but I put my faith and Savannah’s future in the Hands of The One Who Knows and loves her more than I do. She’s watching intently the response teams working Helene and hearing the calls for local pilots to aide. They’re working short supply missions from some of the local municipalities and she’s thinking of how in her future she can join their ranks.
The foundation-building is slow but steady… grateful for her freedom away from the indoctrination camps.

Flemish physician and anatomist (De humani corporis fabrica), dies after being shipwrecked at 49
Biography: Andreas Vesalius’s fame rests on not one but two major achievements: the establishment of the study of Anatomy based on observations, and the publication of an anatomy text that would change not only medicine but book publishing forever.
Born in Brussel, Vesalius studied and taught at the prestigious progressive universities of Leuven, Paris and Padua. By dissecting cadavers himself he came to question the writing of the great Greek physician Galen, whose teachings were still standard 1300 years later. Veralius realised Galen’s teaching were based on dissections of animals not people.
Vesalius, while teaching in Venice had begun publishing anatomical illustrations to support his teaching. In 1543 he took this much further publishing “De Humani Corporis Fabrica Libri Septem (On the Fabric of the Human Body in Seven Volumes)”. This revolutionary book contained over 600 illustrations of the body, presenting the body in not only a naturalistic way but also an artistic one, and intermixed illustrations with text. It was made using woodblocks, probably the work of Flemish artist Flemish artist, Jan Stephan van Calcar.
Vesalius presented his work to the Holy Roman Emperor Charles V, who gave him a position as a physician to the royal household. He died in 1564 travelling home from visiting Jerusalem.

American revolutionary (Boston Massacre-Tea Party) and politician (Lt Gov-Mass, 1789-94), dies at 81
Biography: Samuel Adams was a politician in colonial Massachusetts and a leader in the movement that became the American Revolution. He was one of the architects of the principles of American republicanism that shaped the political culture of the nascent United States.
Adams was born in Boston in 1722 and was brought up in a religious and politically active family. By 1743, Adams had graduated from Harvard College. He then went on to become an influential political activist, focusing on the issues of British colonial policy.
Adams spoke out in particular against the British Parliament’s efforts to tax the colonies without their consent. He argued that this violated the colonists’ rights as British subjects.
Ultimately Adams helped organize resistance to the Stamp Act and played a vital role in organizing the Boston Tea Party. He was one of the first to argue for independence from Great Britain.
Later he was a delegate to the Continental Congress and a signer of the Declaration of Independence. He would also help to draft the Articles of Confederation.
After the American Revolution, Adams helped write the Massachusetts Constitution and subsequently served as governor of Massachusetts. Throughout his life, he continued to argue against all that he considered harmful to the rights of his fellow colonists.

Greek-British automotive designer who designed the Mini, dies at 81
Biography: Alec Issigonis was a British-Greek automotive designer, best known for designing the Mini. This car, which has become iconic worldwide as a symbol of the British automotive industry, was created by Issigonis and launched in 1959 by the British Motor Corporation.
Issigonis was born in Smyrna, but his father had become a naturalised British citizen while studying in London. When tensions arose within Smyrna, his family was evacuated to Malta and then Issigonis moved to the United Kingdom after the death of his father.
His career in the automotive industry started at Humber, and he even raced an Austin Seven from the 1930s. His work on his supercharged “Ulster” version of this car led him to a job at Austin. After Austin, Issigonis went to work for Morris and then Alvis Cars.
By this point the British Motor Corporation had been formed by the merger of Morris and Austin, and Issigonis was brought back to work at the Austin plant by Sir Leonard Lord, who was the chairman of BMC at the time. He was tasked with designing three vehicles, the smallest of which was rushed into production: the Mini.

PRAYING ON THE ARMOR OF GOD
Father God, I now follow your command to put on the full armor of God, because my battle is not against flesh and blood but against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil in the unseen world.
I first pray on the Belt of Truth that it may be buckled around my waist, may I be centered and encircled by your truth dear Lord. Hem me inside all that is true and right, and may I be protected and held up by the truth of your living word, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Breastplate of righteousness, please protect my vital organs and my inner man, cover my integrity, my spirit, and my soul. Guard my heart for it is the wellspring of life, please strengthen and guard the most vulnerable places in my life with that which is right, good, and noble that I might not receive a fatal blow from the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.
I pray on the Gospel Shoes of Peace. I choose to stand in the shoes of your good news, and on the firm foundation of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, the solid eternal rock. All other ground is sinking sand, I pray that I will not slip or fall, but that my feet would be firmly fitted on your lordship, my Lord Jesus. I submit every captured thought to the Lordship of my Lord Jesus Christ, and ask that you would imprison those thoughts that are not of you my Lord. Transform my mind and renew my thinking that I may think God thoughts, and have a sober mind that is focused on your glory. Please protect me from being double minded that I may allow my mind, I reject to live an earthly life, because I choose to live a holy one, governed by you My Lord Jesus, the prince of peace, please have my mind to be saturated with the holy mind of Christ, in my Lord Jesus name.
Finally, I take up the Sword of the Spirit which is the holy word of God, I pray this powerful offensive weapon into my hand, and ask that your holy word would be fitting for every encounter I face. As the enemy gets close to me, please give me the insight, wisdom, and skill to wield the word of God to drive away the enemy, in my Lord Jesus name.

Americans are dying on our soil because of a Biden presidency, while Ukraine gets more money to kill people.
Honestly, you could pay people to die and do about the same thing.
These are evil people who do not care. They prey on the compromised, weakness, fear, that’s what demons do.
This world is built on greed, stop that and focus on what we were created for and we all find peace. Eventually all lives would intersect and life would find heaven here on earth.
Think about it, what is heaven? You’re not gonna be playing a harp and fluttering around like a butterfly. Your gonna be doing what God created you to do.
Don’t you wish God would give us his opinion? A word, maybe a MANUAL for our best life? Man imagine that!
People may say “God separated us for a reason” yes because of evil. It’s Gods will to be righteous and Godly it is key to understanding his word and hearing his voice.
You are not better than anyone with those gifts you are given a greater responsibility, use it to elevate others not yourself.
Religion says, “it’s to elevate me” relationship with our lord says “save others.”
The religious leaders were the only ones Jesus condemned, remember that.

I can relate to his frustration because this is built into the way our State (Illinois) EMA and FEMA are set up and operate in all disasters. While I have many stories that I have experienced with the Beuracrats slowing and hindering response and recovery efforts, they were not as life threatening as what they are experiencing in NC right now. 7 of them went into an ambush in South Lebanon with tens of terrorists firing anti tank missiles and light weapons from multiple directions.
About 30 terrorists were killed too. It was in a structure. There are also about 30 injured in a few locations. Heavy fights in Lebanon.
We will win but it has a cost.
