A very simple ballot counting rule was affirmed by the Georgia election board on Friday in a 3-2 vote.
The “hand count” ballot rule (183-1:12) is very basic and simple. Essentially it says all the paper ballots must be hand counted and matched to the number of people recorded electronically to the vote. Example, if 1,000 votes are electronically counted, there should be 1,000 physical ballots to match. This is not complicated and will not take much time.
The ballots are not being checked for voting accuracy, or vote recording/candidate specifics. Only the number of ballots, the number of physical ballots, that should match the number of recorded voters. Easy peasy, very simple. Not complex.
However, despite the simplicity of the new rule, the DNC and left-wing activists are furious about the simple process. “This is nothing more than an 11th-hour effort by Donald Trump and his ‘pit bulls’ to slow down the counting of ballots so they can attack and undermine any result they don’t like,” Jamie Harrison, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, said on Friday afternoon. What Georgia election rule 183-1-12 does through the hand count is stop the issue of scanning a ballot more than once to count a single ballot (or batch of ballots) as multiple votes of the batch. One ballot, one vote, one voter, match the counts and easy peasy.
If you count 100 one-dollar bills, you should have $100. However, if you count 100 one-dollar bills and your sales report shows $500 sold there’s a problem. Ballots are the same.
Seeing the leftists go bananas over this single and simple rule enforcement, makes me wonder how much the Clyburn team need to scan batches of ballots multiple times. If they lose Pennsylvania (Philly and Pittsburgh) as a fraud vector for success, Georgia becomes much more important. Clyburn has spent a lot of time and resource energy in Georgia. I remember those. However, even those were a problem. Like today’s electronic machines, they were a black box. Literally, in the case of many of today’s computers. But the point is they were/are the scientific concept of a black box. You see the inputs, you see the outputs, you can assume what happens inbetween, but YOU CAN’T KNOW FOR SURE.
So maybe the lever machines worked exactly as they were supposed to – good, but they still should never have been used for elections. Transparent elections start with literal transparency – there should be no part of the election an average voter can’t see and understand.
South Dakota Caucus has had several demonstrations on hand counting & when done right with trained people it is maybe 20 to 30% longer then throwing them in a machine. I can’t find the article, but on the East Side of SD they had a machine that was like 8 to 10 off no matter what they did. I know it doesn’t sound like much, but remember it all adds up.
i sent an SEB email to Georgia Election board saying I supported the rule—which was a hand count to match ballot tabulations. i am glad they at least listened. i know several who wrote the same email.
This is not hand counting or commonly called tabulating. It is simply reconciling the number of people who check-in, the number of ballots given out, and the count on the tabulators. All must be the same.

There are many good systems out there being shown, practiced, and tested in actual elections. At this point we all should be discussing which good system to use, not still running elections on uncertifiable machines.

Apparently one of those kids that couldn’t count their own lunch money.
That was because the votes were hand counted at the precinct and not at a central location. The precincts then recorded the results and sent them in to the national desk. This enabled results to be known by the end of the day.
It is a lot easier to check up on whether numbers were messed with between locations, than whether uncounted ballots were messed with between locations!

As life happens, I lost my house in one of the LA beach fires of late ’18 ( Woolsey?, it was ) and as the safest refuge from this devastating fire caused me to evacuate to Santa Barbara County and their home an hours drive up the Coast Highway.
For the subsequent two weeks until I was allowed to view what remained of the LA property, I was at their dinner table nightly as the Rachel Maddow Show would be as if set by timer at 6 o’clock. Always invariably loud enough, not to be able to ignore. I was a captive audience, one might say.

Yes, I saw that on the video camera from the State Farm Arena in Georgia. They told the poll watchers to leave because they were stopping counting due to a water leak. Turns out the “water leak” was an overflowed toilet from earlier in the day – an old junior high trick to get out of class. Once the poll workers left, they started pulling out suitcases of pre-positioned ballots from under the tables and running them through the machines over and over. All on video. Then, you see where they had packed up and left followed by the poll watchers rushing back into an empty area. Someone tipped them off that the poll watchers got wind counting had resumed without them and were returning. Many, many American families have suffered and struggled because of their dishonest treason.

Simple measures like this narrow the options for fraud.

IMHO, what the Democratic machine has worked to accomplish with “counting ballots” multiple times and all their chicanery with stealing elections is very much like what was done with all those bonds that were supposed to be top-rated bonds but actually the mortgages that made up the bonds were going to go bad at some point, as soon as the variable interest rates went into effect – this man-caused financial climate change was aided by Moody’s and Standard & Poor’s failing to examine the nature of the mortgages that were the constituents of the bonds – they just let them on through, giving them unmerited higher ratings.
They are doing to our country – so far, with impunity – what was done in 2007 to our economy – and basically, that was done with impunity when you boil it all down.
It also negates tampering with the scanners. I seem to recall someone looking at I think a county in Colorado. They took a random scanner off the shelf where they were stored, and ran 50 Trump and 50 Biden ballots through it. At the end, the scanner showed something like 40 Trump votes and 60 Biden votes. An algorythm inside the scanner automatically undercounted Trump votes and overcounted Biden votes. Can’t get away with that if you have to count the physical paper record.
Colorado – unsolicited ballots automatically mailed to every “voter” on the voter rolls that, if as bad as other Fractal scanned states, are incredibly inaccurate.
What must be: except for valid absentee cases, one day voting holiday, in person, ID required cross checked against CLEANED voter rolls, paper ballots ONLY then hand counted ON VIDEO. The voter can, after the count is in, check online to see if their vote was recorded and was marked for the right candidates.
Won’t happen for this election and, if Trump loses, never will. Even if he wins, since states control election procedures, will never happen in leftist states (I refuse to call them “blue” because their color should be RED).
WILL happen in leftist states like Colorado if we-the-people refuse to allow certification by exerting massive noncompliance with the results of fraudulent elections (meaning every election, in our current system.)

This actually cautions me to not get overconfident with the new Georgia rule. Comparing the count between total ballots and vote tally would not actually reveal weighting by scanner algorithm, but that ought to be done too.

Also, just because you count 100 ballots and come out with the correct number of 100, you still have a problem if 50 of the ballots are fake.
Like correctly counting $100 but not pointing out that $50 is Monopoly money.

Georgia had a system set up where all machines in all counties could be controlled from a central location in Atlanta, in addition to ballot shenanigans.
Several outlying counties had anomalies occur where county clerks caught it but nothing could or was done about it meaningfully.
One county for sure, probably several others, Spalding took measures before this action to ensure the ballots were counted and tabulated properly for the upcoming election.
Moreover, while Arizona is definitely important and needed, it has 11 electoral votes, Georgia (and NC) carry 16 each.
This GA ruling also does NOTHING to help the voter know that the magic machine-printed ballot, when scanned at the end of the voting process, is recorded CORRECTLY.
I’m a GA voter and I’ve been bitching about this issue for three election cycles. The touchscreen device prints out a record of my ballot choices, in plain English. But to record my vote, that printed record is inserted into a reader which flashes a “vote recorded” message.
The vote that was recorded: Does it match MY vote? Does it match the Democrat Party’s preferences? Does it even record as a real vote?
Who knows.
How did the Venezuelan people prove the fraud in their voter systems? I don’t know the details, but I know through a finely – controlled network, they had the actual voter printout tapes that proved Maduro had lost…big. I have only followed the story loosely due to family illnesses.

Sorry for the double comment, but just watched Maddow’s video. Some folks seem to live within the assumption that nothing happened before they were born, that history began with their birth. Maddow sounds like one of those.
We were holding Presidential elections and getting national election results same or next day for half a century before she was born. We counted paper ballots marked with yellow pencils, collected the results from stringers scattered all over the country, and broadcast the results over the radio and then beginning in the 50’s over the TV. Can she do math without a calculator, with a paper and pencil? Same thing.
Election results were faster in “the good old days,” but I’m not so sure Presidential elections were any more honest.

What happens if the counts dont match up?
The precinct workers must resolve any discrepancy in MN and both major parties must sign off before the results go to headquarters. All the poll workers witness and participate in the reconciling.

Mandatory recount. Also, even if the numbers match, a recount if the results between candidates are within a predetermined number, be it quantity or percentage.
Double checking numbers doesn’t take “months”. Actually it can save YEARS of bad consequences.

Before I moved from Oregon, a group was doing a deep dive into the election numbers there. Turns out Oregon did really turn red to blue due to an influx of liberals. Kind of looked like Oregon was one of the first test cases to see if voting could be used to cheat with voting numbers.

And that 133M is if every single registered voter actually voted.
Minus the 22M overage at 100% voting, would have put Biden at 59M maximum.
15% not voting would be another 20M off to make Biden’s total approximately 39M.
I have opined in the past that I believe Biden only really got 35-40M actual votes in 2020 which would be in line with the information you provided and the extrapolation I just performed.

In 2012, the incumbent President Barack Obama received 65,915,795 votes and His challenger, Mitt Romney, received 60,933,504. That’s a total of 126,849,299.
Four years later, 62,984,828 people voted for Donald Trump, and 65,853,514 voted for Hillary Clinton, which adds up to 128,838,342.
So among just these four candidates, in four years, there was an increase of 1,989,043 votes.
Suppose the increase was the same between 2016 and 2020. That would mean there were 130,827,385 votes legitimately cast between Trump and Biden, right? We can probably believe the 74,223,975 going to Donald Trump were legitimate, because there certainly wasn’t anybody behind the scenes putting thumbs on the scales for his sake. So that would mean Biden legitimately received 56,603,410 votes, which would be less than his “official” take of 81,283,501 by a difference of 24,680,091.
Why should we doubt these twenty-four million?

We have a national tragedy of loudmouth people running around talking about how the 2020 election was the most honest in American history, and they have no idea what sort of loopy statistics they’re trying to sell. They have no idea how much the electorate swelled, if you’re buying into the idea that each of Biden’s 81 million votes came from a unique and authorized voter and was entirely legitimate. They don’t know what they’re saying.
The electoral base leaped from 128 million to 155 million? When in the previous four years it swelled modestly from 126 million to 128 million?
The swelling between 2016 and 2020, exceeded the natural swelling between 2012 and 2016…by 1,240 percent?

If the RVers see this so what–but people should not be registered to vote in states they do no live in full time. If they want to travel the states, but voting for people and polices that they really know nothing about or that don’t affect then is not right.

They have come out of GA. The rino brigade did their job there in 2020. Now it will fall to NC to take their place.
Reconciliation because Kemp is worried that Trump will win singlehandedly. Therefore, he wants to reconcile so that he will be seen as having a role in Trump winning. He claims that he will mobilize everything in his power to win this election for the GOP nominee. Obvious that he wants to be able to claim that he was a major part (or even the main reason) of Trump’s win in GA. He’s also worried that if Trump becomes president, GA 2020 election will be investigated, and he will be exposed as having done nothing with the 2020 election cheat. He wants Trump to forget the 2020 cheat by this so-called reconciliation. Did you hear Giuliani’s speech in the most recent rally? Giuliani is projecting that he has the goods about the 2020 election cheat…which makes me think that Giuliani will be doing the cleanup (as AG).
Have to remember the Kemp quote, “If you give anybody a voting machine, they can hack it”. Yet no action was taken in 2020 by Kemp.

In 2020 poll workers pulled out cases of ballots from under the table, after the poll watchers were forced to leave. It is all recorded on video. Then the paper ballots were put into the machine tabulators and counted numerous times.

This is like the “voters” registered to empty lots. With this 1 to 1 count confirm, I could not care less who the voter votes for (as it regards the integrity issue), there just has to be one ballot for each voter who registered and participated.
In Georgia 2024 early voting starts statewide October 15, Election Day is Nov 5th, that’s 3 weeks. So the early vote count can start early, just not announced if I remember correctly, and the only votes to count would be election day votes. Of course Madcow pretends not to know that!

And that’s just for the Absentee voting. Notice the start and end dates as well as location.

Before even getting into any discussion of vectors and rules, it’s apparent that if any political group is protesting such a simple and common sense move, it’s because they want to cheat and see one of the paths for that being thwarted. A deeper read really isn’t necessary to get at the truth here. lol
At this point, it really is clear that the Democrat party behaves more like an organized crime racket than what most people believe a political party to be. The fewer Democrats in office, the healthier the body politic. The Republican branch is so neutered that they’re much more easily managed.

The purest form of common sense. There is no logical retort, if one believes a legitimate result is the goal.
I am totally willing to abide by the count if the voters are American citizens, registered to vote as residents or domiciliarys, cast one ballot on election day as a resident or domiciliary, and have proven legitimacy via pre registration and a valid ID only issued to a proven resident and citizen. If the count is supervised in toto by witnesses from both parties, I will abide the result.
I believe in India, the process I describe is how it’s done, and anyone can go to the local cage and watch the counting. A person gets multiple ballots which makes the counting quicker.
What happens if the count is off?

This is not dissimilar to how voting functions in Australia (or, used to up until the early 90s – I have no idea what happens these days).
Ballots issued must balance with ballots cast (this includes ‘spoiled’ ballot papers for which a new ballot paper was issued as a replacement).
Some time prior to an election we receive a notification via mail, that we are encouraged to take with us to the polling booth (station or place of voting) – this is then hand scanned and we have to state our full name and place of residence which is checked by the poll clerk against what he/she sees on the computer screen – AND the voter roll (a printed bound booklet) also has your name marked off as having voted.
Voting in Australia is compulsory – some people who don’t wish to vote simply attend, have their name marked off the roll, receive their ballot paper and just draw squiggles on the ballot paper and deposit that ballot into the sealed box.
They have fulfilled the requirements at law.
Each candidate may appoint a scrutineer / scrutineers by signed appointment (doing shifts) at each polling place – to attend for the duration of both polling and counting – from when the polls open in the morning until the polls close and then until the counting is complete for each polling place, the scrutineers for each candidate in the election must/may stay in attendance with the vote boxes – at least two of whom to certify at the end of the night that boxes remained sealed until opened to check and count, that the boxes were truly devoid of any voting papers after emptying and finally that the number of ballots counted balances with the number of ballots issued.
There is more guff of course, but this is a basic outline.
When an area only uses mail in ballots, the procedure for counting involved marking the name of the voter off the roll and tearing off that identifier tab – prior to the envelopes being opened – and counting usually involved teams of 4 persons (1 calling, 3 marking their ruled sheets) and these had to be balanced every 50 votes counted & called.
The latter was a lengthier process – but accurate.
The Polling Officer at the end of the night would phone in the preliminary results to the Returning Officer for the area, then either take all the material, duly sealed and initialled by P.O. & scrutineers present, to the office of the Returning Officer, either that night or the next morning (having kept it under lock and key overnight).
The documents would then again be checked by staff employed by the Returning Officer for accuracy before inclusion in official results.
