Bombshell report reveals Venezuelan gang has had Aurora complex in a ‘stranglehold’ for over a year
The Tren de Aragua, a criminal group from Venezuela, has had a ‘stranglehold’ on the Whispering Pines Apartments in Aurora since late 2023, the law firm Perkins Coie claimed in a letter to Aurora officials.
The firm found that the gang has engaged in assaults, threats of murder, extortion and even child prostitution, as reported by CBS News Colorado.
The law firm was hired by the lender for Whispering Pines Apartments, 1357 Helena Street, to investigate the reported takeover and claims the gang has been extorting ‘rents’ from people they moved into vacant units.
The vacant units have reportedly been used to host ‘parties’ where the gang provides ‘drug and child prostitution,‘ according to the apartments’ manager, who added that ‘minors are a good source of money.‘

An undocumented immigrant police likened to a “ghost” admitted to kidnapping and raping a teenage girl at knifepoint near New Orleans.
Diego Rodriguez-Salvador, 23, was arrested Sept. 4 for allegedly luring a 13-year-old girl into his car before driving her to his home in Kenner, La. and raping her.
Rodriguez-Salvador, an illegal migrant from Honduras, allegedly asked his friend’s teenage sister to take a ride to a nearby store with him. She accepted the ride, but when the girl noticed they were headed in the wrong direction, Rodriguez-Salvador pulled a knife, assaulted her, then dropped her off in her own neighborhood before speeding away into the night, the Kenner Police Department said.

Russia, China and Iran have all been accused of perpetrating complex campaigns to manipulate U.S. politics. Their effectiveness, however, appears to be lacking.
But the campaigns also appear to have floundered. The Russia-backed media company had a middling YouTube presence that failed to attract significant viewership, while Iran’s hack-and-leak has thus far failed to generate the kind of attention seen by previous operations. China’s campaigns have similarly been found to have been narrow and lacking in reach.
There are no indications to show any of these campaigns have had significant success in swaying voters, or even that they’ve directly reached many Americans, said Emerson Brooking, the director of strategy at the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab, which studies online propaganda.
“I would emphasize how important it is to keep this in perspective,” Brooking said. “That even when the numbers sound big, as a share of election-related activity and discourse in the United States, it is a drop in the ocean.”
“Your uncle’s bad opinions probably don’t come from the Russians,” he added.
