CONGRESSIONAL COMMITTEES ARE NOT PART OF CONGRESS
Congressional Committees allow territorial members (e.g.- Virgin Islands, Puerto Rico, et. al.) to vote, but they cannot vote on the House floor. Political Parties require the Chairman and Ranking Member to pay an annual fee to serve. Under Article I, Section 5, Congress must keep a journal of their votes. Committees keep their records separately, and are therefore not a part of Congress.
When a subpoena is issued by the House for someone to appear before a Committee, that is unconstitutional. For example, Steve Bannon was subpoenaed to appear before the January 6th Committee. Congress cannot subpoena you to appear before a Committee any more than they can subpoena you to appear before the Chamber of Commerce. Congress can only subpoena you to appear before Congress. Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro should appeal their convictions.
If Steve Bannon wins his case on appeal, he is free, and the illegal subpoena system ends. If he loses, then the Court has ruled that Congressional Committees are a part of Congress. This means territorial members can no longer vote, and Political Parties can no longer require fees to hold the Chairmanship, or Ranking Member. It is a win-win for the American people.

So I just heard that President Trumps sentencing has been delayed until after the election, November 28, I think.
So can Hunter Biden’s sentencing, since he just pled guilty, be delayed until after January 20 after President Trump is inaugurated. I don’t think Biden can pardon him until after he is sentenced. But maybe I’m wrong on that. I’m sure they will find a way.

An indictment isn’t required for a pardon. Neither is a conviction or a sentence. Ford pardoned Nixon before charges could be brought.
Pushing hunters sentence until after the election lets Biden delay the pardon until after the election. If Biden pardons his son before the election, Trump would (rightfully) use it as a bludgeon against the Harris campaign.
Merchan doesn’t want to sentence Trump until after the election because he’s done the math. If Merchan jails Trump before the election, he’s guaranteed a Trump victory.

I’ve been saying the the redneck workforce in my area of North Florida is a shadow of its former incarnation.

That should be deflationary since the replacements do not make the same as Americans. This is especially true in high-tech. For example, Qualcomm has 27,000 engineers working in India, at the same time they are laying off American engineers.
Why does this happen? The hard truth is you can hire six engineers in India for every one American engineer. Are the Indian engineers better – NO, absolutely not, but if you add up the six for one it makes economic sense.
Why do companies do this? Because if you don’t, another company will, and you will go bankrupt. We had to offshore for this very reason.
Why does America allow this? That’s the real question. Why doesn’t America go to a high tariff for high-tech jobs? The reason is campaigns cost money, and large companies donate. This is the rule we must change. All donations to campaigns have to come from the American middle class. This can be accomplished via a Federal lottery where the winnings are Federal tax free, and make it illegal for campaign donations to come from anywhere but the lottery.

It seems to me that worker wages effect the demand side of the inflation puzzle, but the supply side of the equation still persists. How are workers making lower wages going to afford the higher prices caused by supply side inflation?

The National Fraternal Order of Police regrets to report that as of midnight on31 August there have been 256 officers shot in the line of duty so far in 2024.
Of those officers shot, 38 of them were killed.
The year with the highest number of officers shot through this date was 2023, when 271 officers were shot through the first seven months of that year.
There have been 47 ambush-style attacks on law enforcement officers this year.
These ambush-style attacks have resulted in 64 officers shot, 15 of whom were killed.

The Supreme Court decision required that no evidence could be presented to grand jury unless a hearing was held IN ADVANCE to determine whether or not any presidential immunity applied?
The Supreme Court ruling also said that nothing relating to the President could be used in court, not his aides, not his writings, nothing could be used to even develop other evidence.
The Supreme Court ruled that the Sarbanes Oxley felony obstruction only applies to SEC stock fraud type of cases not for protests yet it was argued as part of the allegations in the Bragg Case that President Trump was guilty of Sarbanes-Oxley Obstruction!
Wouldn’t all that require the guilty verdict be set aside by the judge? It would for anyone besides President Trump. No?
Merchan did many wrong things in the trial, including disallowing the Federal Elections Commissioner to testify that they’d looked into the allegations and Trump did not violate election law.

Interesting story in Gateway Pundit of a post by Gov. Walz and MN senator Tina Smith regarding Vance’s recent trip to bakery in Georgia (in which one of the workers did not want to be on camera as it sounds like the lady was intimidated by the press or something that was innocuous rather than the bakery lady hated Vance). Walz then tried to troll Vance by saying he has no problems ordering donuts. Then Sen Smith posted a pre-2020 photo of Walz and her standing outside of Daube’s Cakes Bakery in Rochester, MN implying that he really liked donuts.
Then readers pointed out that Daube’s closed for good during the Covid shutdown in April 2000 that was made unduly harsh under Walz and led to a lot of businesses closing for good.
The founder, Cynthia Daube had opened it in 1988 and had sold it to another owner in 2015. It was a nice and beloved place that sold very tasty pastries and cakes and donuts. They had 3 locations at one time. It is of note that Cynthia’s husband was Dr. Jasper Daube of the Mayo Clinic. He was born in Germany in 1936 and moved to America as a child. He was a Princeton graduate and then become a neurologist who had completed a fellowship under the legendary late Mayo physician and physiologist, Dr. Edward Lambert (he had co-invented with Charles Lindbergh the G-suit for pilots to avoid blacking out when pulling out of power-dives during the War). Lambert had also invented the electromyography (EMG) machine and nerve-conduction study machine in the 1950s. Dr. Daube then started as a professor at Mayo in 1972 and started what became a very comprehensive training program for electrophysiology testing and peripheral/neuromuscular diseases. He retired I think in the early 2000s and unfortunately passed away in 2020. He was a very good physician and teacher. He had a big family.

EXCLUSIVE: The Secret Service’s Office of Equity Diversity and Inclusion today at 11:09 a.m. ET sent out an agency-wide request (see email below) for nominees to attend an all-expense paid trip to an LGBTQ+ “Out and Equal” Workplace Summit at Disney World in Orlando Oct. 7-10.
The call for nominees to attend the conference, which includes leadership plenary sessions, a “Night Out” at Disney Studios, and a gala event the final night, is rankling many rank-and-file special agents and Uniformed Division officers. A large number of Secret Service employees are working so hard — many seven-day work weeks with no time off — that they’ve already hit their “supermax limit” for overtime pay, meaning they can no longer receive overtime for their work.
One special agent characterized that phenomenon as essentially working for free.
Many special agents and Uniformed Division officers say the call for nominees for the LGBTQ+ conference a the height of campaign season is tone-deaf when resources are stretched so thin — especially in the wake of the J13 assassination attempt against former Pres. Trump that killed Corey Comperatore. “I would like to know with the operational tempo [we’re under], how they think this is an appropriate use of manpower?” one source in the Secret Service community asked.
The email also comes less than a week after the Secret Service announced that its employees are so overworked by the security requirements of protecting former Pres. Trump, JD Vance, Kamala Harris, Tim Walz + other protectees, as well as the United Nations General Assembly, scheduled for NYC later this month, that the U.S. military is being called on to supplement Secret Service personnel. That help from DoD will continue throughout 2024 through at least Inauguration Day, the USSS announced Thursday.
As I reported last week, rank-and-file Secret Service special agents are wondering if the DoD and the DHS personnel they are being provided will be ADEQUATELY TRAINED in protective duties. The Secret Service has used Army and Navy Explosive Ordnance Disposal officers for many years, but USSS special agents want to know how these additional DoD and DHS personnel providing supplemental support this year will be trained.
As I also previously reported, some Homeland Security Investigations, or HSI personnel, used for “post-standers” during J13 and other protected campaign events only receive one PowerPoint presentation for training for these events, according to three sources in the Secret Service community. The NYPost today backed up my previous reporting on that and the fact that most of the agents assigned to the J13 Butler rally were Homeland Security personnel.
Today’s Secret Service email calling for nominations for the “Out and Equal” conference asks each assistant director’s office across the agency to email their selections for conference attendees to the Director of Alternative Employment by Sept. 13. “Any questions regarding this announcement should be directed to chief, Alternative Employment, DEIA, and Data Analytics” or to the “administrative manager,” the email states.

Our electricity bill now includes a “peak hour” charge… which is priced at $12 per kwh!!!! It is such an outrage, because half the bill is for ONE HOUR of usage with just ~7kwh of usage. When I called, they said that it was double the usual rate which is $0.006 per kwh (6cents) and that we were being billed 0.012 per kwh (12cents) for that one peak hour. I pointed out that it was TWELVE DOLLARS and she sent me to the voicemail of someone who never called back.
Such a scam.

🚨🚨🚨 Today I filed a new judicial ethics complaint with the New York State Commission because new evidence on Kamala Harris’ most recent FEC filing shows she hired and paid Acting Justice Juan Merchan’s adult daughter’s company. This is a clear violation of the New York State Judicial Code of Conduct which dictates that a judge must recuse from a case where a relative up to and including the sixth degree has a financial interest in the outcome of the case.
