Didn’t go to bed. Watched in yes, horror, as huge swaths of votes were transferred from the Trump column to the Biden column. I distinctly recall the numbers transferred were exact in each state, e.g., 16,500. The fake newscasters saw this as well and cut away from the totals on the screen.
I called in sick to work. Didn’t have to lie.

How many states-even red states- changed their policy of mail in ballots? Early voting? Machine counting/recording ballots? Votes counted days/weeks after Election Day? Voter ID proof of citizenship? How many have done nothing at all? Yes, there have been great people trying their best, working hard to try and make sure we have fair voting available to all. Kudos to all of them and a big thank you.
How much will this affect the elections? We shall see soon enough.

This past weekend I flew for the first time in many years. When going through security you now insert your ID into a machine that takes your picture (retinal scan) –when did that start?

I don’t think it’s a retinal scan but I could be wrong. I’ve read they’re doing facial recognition and they act like it’s mandatory but it’s not, it’s optional…for now.
It is optional. They are testing compliance levels.
By my estimate, compliance is close to 95 percent, maybe higher.

To my way of thinking, you have to be traveling quite a long distance to make flying worthwhile. When you factor in:
Driving to the airport, parking your car, walking back to your car after your return, paying a parking fee.
Arriving an hour before your flight leaves for security checks and on return getting your luggage.
Putting up with the occasional spot check where they might pull you out of line for a strip search and going through your luggage thoroughly.
Having no car at your flight destination so you’d need to rent one. Factor in the time at the car rental agency both picking up the car and returning it.
All these add up to more than a few hours. PLUS your flight might be cancelled or delayed, going and/or returning.
I like road trips anyways. I’m planning an Erie, PA to Central FL trip in the near future and it will be by motorcycle.

I had the grand experience of flying on one of the first Pan American 747 flights to Amsterdam. Coach then beats first class today hands down.
