I have lived around many blacks and I have never heard anyone who wasn’t very elderly and from the deep south ever sound like that.

I’ve spent my whole life in mixed neighborhoods and in majority black cities in the mid-Atlantic and Southeast, and there is a dialect that is spoken between blacks, a dialect that is spoken by most blacks, a dialect that is more likely to be spoken by seniors (no different than white Southerners having a stronger accent if they are older rather than younger), a country dialect, etc., and a dialect used by blacks during public speaking in church or politics…

There is a U.S. embargo on the sales of aircraft to Venezuela.

And brings up another – since the Executive Order specifies if the item comes to be within the United States or within the possession or control of any United States person – the airplane was in a Caribbean nation which was not a US territory so it comes down to is the title to the plane in the name of a US citizen.
This could get interesting, especially if Venezuela takes this confiscation to the world court the UN is so proud of.

Disney was scheduled to release it originally. I went to a screening with my husband, and we got to meet Jim Caviezel. It was small group of about 50 people. Then years went by before it was released because Disney dropped out.
We saw Sounds of Freedom in a packed theater. The audience clapped in unison once the movie was over. No one left until the screen went dark. Amazing experience … perhaps more amazing is how little attention child trafficking gets from the M*ckingbird media.

You can morally judge a society by whether it is safe for children and families.

My supplemental insurance has fantastic coverage and their performance (over 15 years) has been pretty close to perfect; of course, if it weren’t for the insurance companies’personnel/travel/retirement/ their own medical insurance for employees, etc. (which MY PREMIUMS ARE PAYING FOR)…..if it weren’t for all of that, I wouldn’t NEED supplemental insurance.

I don’t have a huge problem with legal weed on three conditions:
The government at all levels is banned from taxing it in any way.
You have to acknowledge use (like smokers do) on insurance, and agree to the resulting higher premiums.

Clarion, I throw this out as food for thought. If an individual is allowed to grow their own weed, for personal consumption, you start to break the hold of the cartels. If a state decriminalizes small personal amounts, that frees up courts and jails of non-violent offenders. The personal grower needs materials that are hopefully manufactured in the US (America First) purchased, taxed and used thereby aiding the economy. The same items for growing weed can also be used for food stuffs such as lettuce, herbs, root vegetables, etc., leading to better health. Local fines for smoking in unapproved areas can be earmarked for smoking cessation education.
People will smoke if they want to and businesses can chose to not hire them. The mystique is gone and an equilibrium can be achieved. Just my thoughts.

Just to be clear. The voice infrastructure in the US is and has been controlled by the SS7 (signalling system 7) network. They have since it inception been listing to your calls, specifically on key or trigger words. Such as threats to national security. Those calls are tagged and reviewed as us your call history to verify if you are just making a flippant comment to a buddy. We have previously discussed the anti-free speech views of Clinton’s former Labor Secretary, Robert Reich, who has tried to sell citizens on the perfectly Orwellian view that more freedom means tyranny when it comes to the freedom of expression. He also demanded that former president Donald Trump be banned from ballots as a “traitor” — all in the name of protecting democracy from itself. Last week, Reich wrote a column declaring Elon Musk “out of control” in his refusal to censor citizens and appeared to call for his arrest.
Reich has long been a prominent voice in the anti-free speech movement discussed in my recent book, The Indispensable Right: Free Speech in an Age of Rage. Indeed, he has given a voice to the rage in calling for others to be silenced or arrested.
Elon Musk has long been the primary target of Reich and his allies after dismantling the censorship system at Twitter, now X. Reich called Musk’s purchase of Twitter with a pledge to reduce censorship to be “dangerous nonsense.”
Notably, Reich’s friend, Hillary Clinton, was one of the first to call for a crackdown on Musk after his purchase of Twitter. Hillary Clinton and other Democratic figures turned to Europe and called upon them to use their Digital Services Act to force censorship against Americans.
Reich has always shown a chilling fluidity in how free speech is protected and argued that public interest should be able to trump the right of any citizens in espousing views that he believes are dangerous.

She explains that after the accident, Harris’s people threatened her mother so that she would not report the incident to the police. It was only after the death of her mother 13 years later Alisha decided to tell this story.
