I thought the exchange on Conmunism/Fascism was enlightening.
Lex who is apperently a soft liberal, essentially said;
“Well yes, Kamala SAID price controls (which ARE Conmunist) but she didn’t actually MEAN Price controls, she just said it to get elected.”
So, this is the view of probably many; that its o.k. to make campaign promises that are resorting to Conmunist policies, because nobody expects you to keep them.
And then, when the candidate gets elected, based in part ON such promises, and proceeds to enact them, what do these people expect? If this candidate, once elected announces Christmas has been moved to Oct.,…or enacts price controls, anyone complaining will be told “What did you expect, didn’t we SAY we were going to,…” just before being put up against a wall for a bullet to the brain.
Didn’t they learn with Mr Hopey-Changy?
What did he say he wanted to do – he pretty much did exactly that!
He’s likely still working the strings, though he’s ‘in charge’s of very little.
I have no doubt his own strings are being worked pretty fiercely – not that he has any problem with that!
That’s how they justify their own stupidity! Liberals don’t want to believe the communists!
Lex is annoying! Why is he popular?
I can’t stand him, he is so fake…
This guy Lex is a real asshole. lol !!!!
I liked Lex a lot. His style is not showy but fun to watch his subtle facial expressions.
He has what I stereotype as a Russian sense of humor ( mushrooms). So he sucked at it and PDJT went along masterfully.
This kid is smart and with great questions moving along. I see the draw with his audience of likely intelligent yutes.
Loved that he wore a suit in respect for PDJT.
Respectfully, if one claims to address current political discourse through a historical lens, then it is important to establish working definitions and distinctions between ‘fascist’ and ‘communist’ for the sake of this discussion. Otherwise, we’re just stipulating shallow, political name-calling, with a pretense of intelligentsia. Not good enough. (Looking at you, MSM.) As a wise man once said: “Words mean things.”
I thought this was an interesting interview. According to Lex among his group of acquaintances they don’t believe that Congress will pass any of the “legislation” that Commie Harris is proposing. Like price controls or say taxes on unrealized gains. I see this as a significant issue. His followers are not seeing that nothing the current regime is doing has been passed legislatively. It’s all executive order or administrative rule.
They don’t need Congress because this regime just ignores what they don’t like and do what they want – legal or not. This is a difference in generations I think. Unfortunately once they realize they are wrong it will be too late. You can vote your way into communism but you can’t vote your way out!
The issue that surprises me is the censorship/free speech issue which is in place today ignoring our 1st amendment right. Even the NYT is saying openly that it’s time to get rid of the US Constitution. Lex and his followers must not be affected by the censorship regime as of yet. They will be, it’s only a matter of time.
Or he is just too ignorant to realize how much our constitutional rights are being ignored by local, state, and federal authorities.
Exactly, He doesn’t realize if it’s a democratic congress, all communist legislation will pass! Don’t forget executive orders! He is ignorant!
I listened to hear President Trump. I didn’t want the interviewer to ask leading questions, trick questions or softball questions.
I liked that President Trump was able to answer calmly and honestly without interference from the interviewer.
I hate when people interrupt me when I am trying to make a point, so maybe that’s why I like how Lex did this interview.
I hope the listeners heard enough to learn that President Trump is not the caricature male chauvinist pig and loudmouth liar that the mainstream media have painted him as being.
He is a man who loves this country enough to sacrifice his life to save it.
You bet and his Epstein question was a trick to goad Trump to say he will look at it. Then the entire legacy media says, Trump will release the Epstein list! Yeah, great, let’s make Trump even more in danger. And that RINO hack Hannity with his town hall tonight will ask Trump leading questions too, like he did with the stupid dictator question. K. Harris are still using Trump joking about day one dictator. That is all on Hannity, so here we go again. Hannity is a useless, passive aggressive hack that for some reason fools Trump. Trump should do it with Gutfield or Tucker, no one else.
Can’t watch Lex Friedman, tried, he’s just so fake and where did he come from?
I wish Lex Fridman had read President Regan’s farewell speech, January 11, 1989, before this interview and woven it in to the questions and contrasted what President Biden had delivered and how he ended his presidency when he said he would not run again.
“Common sense told us that when you put a big tax on something, the people will produce less of it. So, we cut the people’s tax rates, and the people produced more than ever before. The economy bloomed like a plant that had been cut back and could now grow quicker and stronger. Our economic program brought about the longest peacetime expansion in our history: real family income up, the poverty rate down, entrepreneurship booming, and an explosion in research and new technology. We’re exporting more than ever because American industry became more competitive and at the same time, we summoned the national will to knock down protectionist walls abroad instead of erecting them at home.”
It appears not many Republican politicians have read this speech and signed up to the course Regan had set before his party and the country. I hope President Trump will if he gets a second term.
Read the text on the Regan Library website of listen on Youtube.
Better yet, GO see the REAGAN movie. So much of our modern day isms came from REAGAN and yes, his speech is in the movie.
P.S. THEY won’t advertise the movie and could end it at any time so I say GO!
It looks like Rex has not been taught US government in school. He appears to be ignorant about so many things. I would have liked to hear him ask a question about the Save Act when he wanted to pin PDJT on voter fraud, which PT avoided answering because the next bomb to drop would be acceptance of the next election.
