When you live within your means and cannot afford to go to college and work in the construction industry doing hard physical labor it does sort of annoy you to think you will have even tiny amounts of your pay being used to pay for someone who took 7 years to get a 4 year degree in basket weaving. That same someone took every summer off, never worked and never took more than 12 credit hours a semester.
This is a very good point. The multinationals provide products to most other countries cheaper than those provided to Americans. They get the volume from other countries to reduce their costs, and they maximize revenues from the U.S. to maximize the profitability. Forcing drug companies to offer the same prices in the U.S. that other countries is a good idea, but it is just the first step. It should be applied to all the multinationals who have taken over entire industry value chains for the express purpose of screwing Americans to enhance their own profitability.
Judges like Beryl Howell should never be confirmed and should be shamed for rulings like this.

It has become increasingly obvious that the judicial branch of our system from bottom to top is loaded with biased or corrupt judges and juries. It has become a reflection of our current society where too many do not care about truth and fairness as long as they get their way.
I find it so disturbing and discouraging that our citizens don’t really care about being honest and truthful. That used to be a common thread in our society. You didn’t need a contract on an agreement we just shook hands. My how we have progressed.

I am an old-school environmentalist — a lover and protector of nature. The Democrats obsess about counting CO2, while neglecting urgent issues such as the chemicals in our food, soil, and water. Ironically, many carbon-motivated environmental policies actually harm the environment. Offshore wind damages marine animals, especially whales. Mining for lithium, coltran, silver, copper, rare earths etc. to make batteries is laying waste to vast ecosystems. I have found to my surprise that many people on the Trump team, including President Trump himself, care about the same environmental issues I do. Furthermore, these issues can help to unify our nation — because almost everyone wants clean air, water, food, and soil. Almost everyone values thriving ecosystems and wildlife. Environment was a unifying issue in the 1960s, supported by Democrats and Republicans alike. I am committed to reviving that consensus in the next Trump administration.

These organizations then in turn sell licenses for public performances to whomever is willing to pay for said license in order to play said artists music in public, be it a jukebox in your favorite bar, or a stadium full of people at a rally.
Some artist retain their rights and do not license their music out, but they are few and far between. Most are more interested in the money derived from the licenses, which can be quite lucrative.
Those artist who are so naïve as to think they still retain full control of their music after selling their rights to ASCAP and BMI are idiots.
Their only options are to either lawyer up and break their contract (very expensive) or sit and watch the performance and accept their royalties check harping about it all the while.

The announcement that RFK Jr lost the case to be removed from the NC Ballot raises an Interesting Point. If I were a lawyer opposing RFK’s effort to selectively REMOVE or be ADDED or REMAIN on a ballot … one of the first arguments that I would pursue is that RFK Jr’s SELECTIVE efforts are fraudulent and violating the First Amendment Rights of impacted voters as well as the Political Organization that nominated him. He is also causing MONETARY DAMAGE in places he remains on the ballot because there are FEDERAL ELECTION FUND PAYOUTS at stake.
A lawyer can also successfully argue that RFK Jr has NOT Withdrawn but has SUSPENDED his campaign, which means his INTENT (there’s that word again) is to NOT WITHDRAW and leaves his status as a candidate Ambiguous, so any state removing RFK’s name is actually violating RFK’s rights no matter what RFK desires.
This is why I have a hard time criticizing any Judge who rules against RFK Jr.
Point being I have ZERO sympathy for RFK Jr’s efforts and I view the entire situation as hypocritical with respect to the stated desires for fair elections. A candidate is either IN or OUT … the ambiguity RFK is spreading is ELECTION INTERFERENCE … is as UNETHICAL as ballot collection and stuffing.
With a little bit of polished thinking … the media can easily turn this against President Trump and RFK Jr. Given the phony nature of the 2-NY Sate Lawfare Case Convictions … this would be low handing fruit for another State Level attack and move up to the FEC.
This still leaves in place my skeptical view of his efforts.

Yesterday on channel 6 (Philly area) ABC four o clock news during the weather forecast with Adam Joseph an image of an upside-down flag was shown behind him. The flag itself was not upside down but the picture of the flag was taken from above looking down making it appear upside-down. Update (5:15pm ET): It appears that the US-made F-16 fighter jet, which was handed over to Ukraine earlier this year, was downed by a Ukrainian Patriot air defense system in a friendly fire incident, Ukrainian lawmaker Maryana Bezuglaya said cited by TASS.
“According to my information, the F-16 of the Ukrainian pilot Alexey ‘Moonfish’ Mes was shot down by the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system due to a lack of coordination between the [military] units,” she wrote on Telegram.
The lawmaker criticized the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for falsely describing the incident as “a crash.”
“The culture of lies in the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as in other higher military headquarters, leads to the fact that the system of managing military decisions does not improve on the basis of truthful, consistently collected analytics, but deteriorates and even collapses, as is happening in the other directions,” she wrote.
In her words, none of the generals was punished over the incident that led to the loss of both the aircraft and its pilot.
Earlier, an unidentified US official told the Wall Street Journal that Ukraine had lost a donated F-16 fighter jet in the first such case. According to the official, the jet was not shot down, and the crash was likely due to pilot error. Later, the Ukrainian Air Force confirmed the death of a Ukrainian F-16 pilot, Alexey Mes. The man was trained to fly F-16, according to CNN. The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said the pilot was killed in an aerial fight, when his plane crashed on August 26.
