Barron is said to get the credit for this campaign strategy of doing one on ones with these podcasters.
They are thrilled at the viewership #’s, and every one has been very grascious, and in addition the format is SOoooo much better, as the podcasters don’t have some producer yelling in their ear, nor do they have to rush things in order to make room for commercials.
And, so far nothing like the hostility PDJT has gotten, both with the townhall, and the recent correspondents gathering.
Which, by the way were both adversarial, and yet he handled himself well, and made a good impression.

It was the suckers & losers lie. But, I think he asked it because it gives PT a chance to address Shawn’s (likely) large military audience that might never have heard the truth. So Shawn had good intentions & PT even said I wanted you to ask me that question.

That said Ryan was extremely polite in answering that question, as he is ex seal team my hunch is many of his viewers are military or ex.

Watched the entire interview, Trump answered all questions with heart and soul. Even if a question was offensive (which weren’t), the answers were true blue.

I think it’s a highly inappropriate FIRST question ….. No lead in, no nothing.
Shawn Ryan’s primary audience, the people who are mostly tuned into his podcast, are all current military, vets, ex military or families therein.
The first question is the most important facet to that very specific audience sector.
It completely made sense. The thing you need to learn about podcasters, is to recognize their audience. Each audience is unique in their segment or specialty of interest.
This is not the MSM where news is repeated to all consumers. This is a new era of information sharing, where consumers with specific interests can go get their news from the sources that cover the news from their perspecrive.
PERIOD!
My son is at Fort Moore in basic right now. He loves Shawn Ryan.
That is almost exactly how my son described Sean’s podcast a few weeks ago when he recommended I check it out. It’s his favorite.

I, for one, thought it was good that it gave President Trump a chance to explain what really happened. Even the president said that he wanted him to ask this question…
At the start of the interview:
“Mr. President Trump… I’d like to start with some rhetoric that’s been in he news lately. I don’t believe it…”
Then he asked about the lie that that President Trump called wounded veterans suckers and losers. There was nothing in his tone or the way he asked the question that was combative. It is clear from President Trump’s response he did not take it as rude or combative.

Trump’s podcast and influencer interview circuit is the Twitter of this election. He’s so smart. I know so many guys (primarily) who don’t like or are nervous to admit they like Trump who listen to these podcasts or who have man crushes on Musk.
My older brother is one of them. He’s a liberal libertarian. He’s never had a bill or cell phone in his life, but he’s been convinced he hates Trump. He told me about 10 days ago that I got to start listening to Shawn Ryan. Trump is finding all these people that think like him but think they hate him. It’s fascinating to watch.
I am learning about this whole new world of these podcasters. Have never heard of most of them. The ones I know of are typically refugees from the tyrants that control Fox News.
These new podcasters, however, have built up their following totally apart from any legacy media.

Many of them get more views than MSM on a weekly basis. I’m 47, and it’s how many people my age (give or take 5-7 years) get news or information. I have a 16 and 17 year old, and their info is gathered on TikTok, Snapchat and Instagram. Trump is so ahead of the Uniparty speaking with Tik Tok and Instagram influencers and Podcasters.
Humans are social animals and most have a natural attraction to being led. Covid, especially, cut people off from personal social constructs and many formed alternative constructs in the virtual world and leaders naturally emerged in that construct.
It’s no surprise I rarely or never watch such influencers. I was criticizing the Commie rag I threw for a few bucks a month in the 60’s and the propaganda it spewed and listened to other voices across the planet on shortwave radio and became quite a skeptic, of course with the social penalties that such entails.
People find comfort in unity. Youtube influencers maximize profits on providing a virtually comfortable place of refuge where people ‘connect’. We’ve seen similar over time with social media. It’s human psychology. One is either ‘of the body’ or they’re not. Those not of the body are shunned and socially isolated.
If Shawn had de-monitized that interview I would’ve watched it. That’s why I tried the naked browser. Choice.

Haven’t heard more than excerpts of this yet. However, Shawn is about as solid as it comes. I’ve heard some folks say “But he’s CIA, he’s CIA, he’s a plant …”, not knowing much about him. Shawn, and there are maybe 3 or 4 other prior SF guys are doing these types of outstanding interviews. Simply the best, most probing questions. They put professional talking heads on the cable networks to shame. Think “Tucker Carlson”, but with decades of military, intel, and foreign policy related experience.
I’m sure that this’ll be Shawn’s best interview yet.

I’m into the 2nd hour of Ryan’s interview with Trump and I’ve found it very balanced and interesting. I like Ryan’s interview style.
Ryan knows his audience, they don’t like kiss asses and bullshitters, it’s a common refrain of those he interviews, whatever their background. Straight out the gate he hits Trump with a question that is neither, but allows Trump to set the record straight.
These podcasters remind me how some reporters used to interview people, hard-hitting but respectful, and they are an excellent subliminal way of showing how low the court stenographers have stooped to pick up the crumbs from the ‘King’s’ table.

This is a very good interview and the guy was very respectful. I will add just for my view sake that I hope President Trump tells ABC and Harris to pound sand. Where, exactly, does it say she has the option of demanding this or that. Presideent Trump as well as many representatives need to stop letting the left make all the rules.
This is where I become ambivalent. Starting at 26:43. He completely mischaracterizes the Ukraine V Russia situation and blames Putin for the whole thing. “(Ukraine) was the apple of his (Putin’s) eye and I told him not to do it.” Putin wanted no NATO in Ukraine and no weapons that could threaten Russia and the safety of the people in the Donbass. He did not want to annex Ukraine. That is a ridiculous Sean Hannity talking point.
We would demand the same thing in a similar situation. Trump makes no reference to the fact that we started the whole thing. There was also the little problem of Zelensky’s army attacking the Donbass and killing civilians. Trump needs to reevaluate and probably get new advisers. He seems to be listening to neocons.
He also thinks the conflict can be resolved quickly. Well it certainly could be but not on the terms Trump will be willing to agree to. Russia is no longer going to accept the word of a U.S. President without collateral so to speak. After all, much of the buildup in infrastructure, fortifications and equipment to Ukraine’s war machine happened under Trump’s administration.
And that mischaractorization makes him seem less intelligent never mind politically motivated too. More “Russia Russia Russia” bs from sobs ignoring the installed Ukrainian government and the absolute funding of NAZIs with US tax payer money after NAZIs killed and maimed US too.
I do have faith that the man in his heart does not want war. I think people like Tulsi Gabbard, if she gets the chance, could explain some things to him regarding the neocons. I bet Melania could as well.
