Bussing was the perfect example of this effect on civic engagement.
Parents without cars or much time or friends in the area wouldn’t go to extra curricular activities of their children, if the children who sometimes spent hours on the bus even participated, the local schools closed, taking with them the biggest community hotspots.

People no longer knew their neighbors … because they never saw them. The “village” that once helped raise the kids on the whole street dissipated.

More Americans are looking for jobs and unemployment worries are at their highest level in a decade, according to a new survey released by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Monday.
According to the NY Fed, the average expected likelihood of becoming unemployed in the next four months reached 4.4% in July, the highest in the survey’s 10-year history. This compared to 3.9% a year ago.
The expected likelihood of moving to a new employer also increased, rising to 11.6% last month from the 10.6% seen in July 2023.
More respondents are also actively on the job hunt, with 28.4% saying they’ve been searching for a new job over the past four weeks — the highest level since March 2014 and an increase from 19.4% in July 2023.

Just listened to Benny Thompson’s podcast. He took the man-in-the-street mic over to B Hussein Obama’s own neighborhood in shouting distance of the “library” being built.
Benny asked everyone on the streets there and I kid you not – unless he’s making it up, every single person there is voting for PDJT and determined to do so!
He also took it to ritzy downtown Chicago and did find KamalaBots in the streets there, but not one of them could answer the question “Why?” about their support. That was near the convention I think. When I was a kid in the 60’s they took our class to a puppet show where they intentionally pulled back the curtains with the stage lights up. They showed and discussed how to be a puppeteer and actually did one scene where you could see them in action, it was cool.
They then closed the curtains dropped the stage lights and did the short scene again and voila the wonderful illusion was back. The emcee came back out to a roaring applause made a few comments and proceeded the whole show and like the illusionist of today they successfully re-hypnotized the audience and we all enjoyed the show.
The demons are being very sloppy even overt with their chicanery, that now even the normies or willfully blind are beginning to get it, see the strings. Great example see the man on the street interviews with Benny Johnson, or Don Lemon or even assembled focus groups in the enemy MSM are overwhelmingly President Trump.
B-B-Biden and now Kamala are both installed uniparty frauds and their puppet strings are visible and people are now looking beyond the puppets and to the puppeteers…our real enemy.

In the past, if the lumber tariff is in place for too long, the Canadian lumber mills will drill a hole into each stud, and the product will escape the tariff because of processing regulations.
Then, the electricians like it, because they will have less holes to drill, when they run their wires.
A lot of the USA lumber mills have closed in the past few years, so it is quite interesting as to why the lumber tariff is raised, in the first place.
More like the last 30 years! Enviromental movement along with the passage of the endangered species act has been destructive throughout the states. Here in the State of Washington, it started with the spotted owl and marbled murrelet in the late 80’s early 90’s. Many mills producing all species of timber have been shutting down. State ownership of timber lands varies from state to state. Here in the state of Washington, approximately 30% is federal (virtually no logging, poorly manage and in worse shape), 30% state (min required by state constitution for schools) and 30% private (pretty much what the mills have been living off of for the last 15 years). We have also seen an increase in the size and intensity of forest fires out here in the west because of the lack of forest management, especially on federal land. If timber lands in the Pacific Northwest were allowed to be actively harvested and managed (this does not mean clear cutting all the forest by the way), the amount of jobs and revenue would be huge and cost of lumber would drop dramatically.

A very, very few of us took issue with the veracity and completeness of Higgins’ report.
Ablechild points out several contradictions to Higgins’ statements as well as gingerly and diplomatically calling on Higgins to go back and ask some very specific questions.
Those ‘very few’ were sometimes chastised and belittled for making the same observations as Ablechild has concluded.
Personally, I called BS on the Higgins report in a comment of that post on page 1 of the comments and in a follow up reply to another commenter, used the word ‘misdirection’ to describe some of Higgins’ omissions and spin.
Ablechild has done essentially the same thing. Quite frankly, Ablechild exposes Higgins for manipulative BS on his investigative report, with indisputable facts.

With all the MSM chatter about Iran wanting PDJT, eliminated by the November election makes me worry that our alphabet agencies are going to put on an all out assault to make this happen.

I just did a DDG search for “non DEI companies” and literally ten pages of searches produced articles slamming companies who have scaled back DEI. There has to be a list of companies that the Treehouse should be taking their $ to. Does anyone know of such a list? I might do the research and start one if there is nothing out there.
I would first and foremost direct economic support to companies which have eschewed and criticized and fought DEI publicly.
Any group of humans who have supported such Communist dictates and other matters of collaboration with Communists should remain suspect regardless of whatever words they spew. That ideology dies hard. Remain suspicious.

First off, I do not see a realistic way to purge the criminal Justice system quickly enough to use it to prosecute all of the miscreants involved in the various corrupt schemes, in time to be effective.
And, I think USING the threat of exposure, to compel our enemies to effectively surrender to MAGA, giving PDJT his confirmatons, and enacting his legislative agenda, etc. may be a more effective and benefucial use, both for Maga and the Country, rather than trying to use it to achieve ‘Justice’.
