RFK Jr. is actually very honest & accurate about what he believes the D party should stand for versus what they actually represent today. He’s been saying or alluding to this for years.
Remember Donald Trump was popular & aligned with Democrats before he decided to run as a Republican. That wasn’t a coin toss – he decided tht the Dems’ core ideology had shifted way too far to the Left from what they once represented, and that core Republican voters this century were far closer to mid-twentieth century Democrat voters than otherwise.
So it would be no surprise of RFK Jr. saw some (not all) of his own values closer to current working class & middle class Republican voters and Trump policies. IDK Shanahan so I cant surmise how she sees this potential move to endorse Trump.

Trump and RFK Jr. may disagree on many things but agree on the big stuff. They are both victims of aggravated DNC lawfare. They both agree on a return to common sense and the security and prosperity of a nation. They agree we have a Nation to save.
Trump, being a deal guy, understands the strategic value of Kennedy/Shanahan’s base, which represents 10% of the vote. This significant voter base could potentially counterbalance the DNC/Harris cheating in certain states, making it a valuable asset not to be overlooked.

RFK Jr. is very intelligent. On some issues he is quite incisive, once you get over his voice. His dad and uncle, though Democrats, were educated in the well-rounded, old-school way. If we see a show of hands, who would vote JFK over Harris right now?
What I’m seeing right now with Jr’s position is almost a “babe in the woods” awakening, akin to Reagan’s “I didn’t leave the Democrat party; the party left me” situation. And Trump did not make RFK Jr an offer for a position…he said he would think about it, may consider it. That’s fine…dangle that in front of Kennedey until he comes around and does endorse Trump. If it is a fact that Obama was pulling the strings in the WH, and a Kamala victory would be his 4th term, it’d be hard to reconcile that she was not his choice. And with Eric Holder ‘vetting’ the VP choices, that Walz wasn’t.

I don’t like most of RFK’s policies EXCEPT on “vaccines” and hospital protocols (Remdesivir) which killed 1.2 million Americans with a fake scamdemic. For Trump, including Kennedy is an insurance policy. He (we) needs to WIN, not claim to be a pure as the wind driven snow conservative. Stick Kennedy in the position of HHS director and clean up the CDC, NIH, NIAID and hold Big Pharma accountable for their crimes.
If RFK Jr. staying in the race helps Kamala (which is what is said in the article above), then anything you can do to get him out is ultimately beneficial. Because RFK isn’t trying to win the election, you’re staking quite a bit on him bowing out. What if the DNC essentially works out a deal to bankroll his debt to stay in the race….playing up to his vanity?
The smart move is, like a poker big bet, to get him to fold as soon as possible so that you can scoop up whatever share you can, of the support he leaves behind. Send RFK Jr. to purple states to talk to Gen Z and African-Americans (his support is pretty good there based on Reuters/Ipsos, and send Shanahan to talk to women in the Arizona and Virginia.
Waiting around gives Harris the shot to seize the initiative on this development that SHOULD help Trump.
Give him HHS, I wouldn’t give him AG, and lets send a message of unity into the political blood stream.
