One of the great mysteries about the January 6, 2021, events is the lack of curiosity by the FBI about who planted the pipe bombs at the DNC and RNC headquarters. Amid all of the available CCTV video and surveillance technology exploited by the justice department, their transparent unwillingness to identify the pipe bomber has always been a dog that did not bark.
The Occam’s Razor explanation for why DC and federal law enforcement have been incurious, points to law enforcement actually planting the bombs. New CCTV video seems to show exactly that.
Shortly after 12:51pm a DC police SUV appears next to the park bench where the pipe bomb was discovered. [Video Below] A man with a bag exits the SUV, points to the bench, pulls up his right coat collar to obscure his face from the camera located across the street, then walks to the bench with the bag. The “pipe bomb” device allegedly was found at 1:05 p.m. by a plainclothes officer from the Capitol Police.
NEW: Recently discovered video from Jan 6 shows an individual believed to be police carrying a bag toward the location where “pipe bomb” was found at DNC.

I am not going to repeat the reporting above, the timelines therein, or the granular details painstakingly outlined. The research is solid, informative and accurate. Instead, my focus is about “why” the pipe bombs were planted.
Nancy Pelosi, Kevin McCarthy (House) along with Chuck Schumer, Mitch McConnell and Mike Pence (Senate) did not want the January 6th certification of electors challenged. If you suspect the 85 million votes for Joe Biden might have been manufactured (mail-in ballots), then you understand the DC motive to avoid any electoral challenge that might have resulted in state level legislative inquiry and/or vote counting review.
To avoid the challenge to the electoral certification process, a lengthy and very formal process where the Senate must separate from the House as each state is formally questioned/challenged and a debate/vote on each state’s set of electors takes place (minimum 2 hours each state), an EMERGENCY process triggered by the House Speaker (Pelosi) was needed. That’s where the pipe bombs come into play.

The J6 pipe bombs were the insurance policy, in the event the feds (Ray Epps et al) couldn’t get the crowd to comply with the FBI provocations.
In essence, if no one stormed the Capitol, the finding of the two pipe bombs would have then been the emergency needed to stop the electoral process, evacuate congress and trigger the emergency session. Which explains why the FBI had/has no interest in the DC pipe bomb suspects.
As it turned out, the DC crew (Pelosi et al) didn’t need the “pipe bomb emergency” because the manufactured riot (opening the doors to the Capitol building etc.) worked. The J6 emergency need was fulfilled by the “riot” within the Capitol building; the bomb narrative was not needed.
Julie Kelly – […] Just as the first wave of protesters breached the building shortly after 2 p.m., congressional Republicans were poised to present evidence of rampant voting fraud in the 2020 presidential election. Ten incumbent and four newly-elected Republican senators planned to work with their House colleagues to demand the formation of an audit commission to investigate election “irregularities” in the 2020 election. Absent an audit, the group of senators, including Ted Cruz (R-Texas) and Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) pledged to reject the Electoral College results from the disputed states.
The Hail Mary effort was doomed to fail; yet the American people would have heard hours of debate related to provable election fraud over the course of the day.
And no one opposed the effort more than ex-Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.).
During a conference call on December 31, 2020, McConnell urged his Republican Senate colleagues to abandon plans to object to the certification, insisting his vote to certify the 2020 election results would be “the most consequential I have ever cast” in his 36-year Senate career.
From the Senate floor on the afternoon of January 6, McConnell gave a dramatic speech warning of the dire consequences to the country should Republicans succeed in delaying the vote. He downplayed examples of voting fraud and even mocked the fact that Trump-appointed judges rejected election lawsuits.
“The voters, the courts, and the States have all spoken,” McConnell insisted. “If we overrule them, it would damage our Republic forever. If this election were overturned by mere allegations from the losing side, our democracy would enter a death spiral.”
Roughly six hours later, McConnell got his way. Cowed by the crowd of largely peaceful Americans allowed into the building by Capitol police, most Republican senators backed off the audit proposal. McConnell, echoing hyperbolic talking points about an “insurrection” seeded earlier in the day by Democratic lawmakers and the news media, gloated. “They tried to disrupt our democracy,” he declared on the Senate floor after Congress reconvened around 8 p.m. “This failed attempt to obstruct Congress, this failed insurrection, only underscores how crucial the task before us is for our Republic.”

Thirty years ago when I worked for the federal government there were lots of wasteful lazy people who were retired on the job but I always felt that the vast majority of the employees really loved America and would try to do right by the country in the end. As you imply, it is not a question of the force we have, but of the will. I believe things are VERY different than four years ago. I still don’t know if we really have the will to establish better guardians. Four years ago I think 90% of Americans thought our government was reasonably trustworthy. I wouldn’t say that statistic has exactly flipped, but I think very few people actually trust their government anymore. On the other hand, a large fraction is trying to stay down and do whatever works until it all blows over.
Would you have believed, one, two, or three years ago that we would be in August of 2024 and no new disease has gotten any traction? Nobody really cares anymore about being called racist, and since seeing PDJT get impeached and indicted for existing, people no longer assume a court decision has anything to do with whether the person did something wrong. The old media is listened to mainly by themselves, but unfortunately a lot of the new media is also captured by the government. However, people are still gravitating to the sources that actually speak freely because they are the most interesting.
I think it is VERY important for the rule of law that we not accept any results that come from our current election system that doesn’t follow our own election laws – but a lot of people don’t know what else to do. If we don’t demand that our votes count and be seen to count, we agree to oligarchy, and at this point we would agree knowingly. And that’s a pretty scary thought.

I’ll just point out that according to the first video provided by the FBI their story is that the bombs were planted the night before; 16 hours before they were discovered. If you take a close look at the photo, the bomb has a 1 hour kitchen timer ⏲️. How does that make any sense? Whoever built the bomb wasn’t on the same page as the rest of the team or didn’t know what the story was going to be hence the 1 hour ⏲️. It should also be noted that a bomb supposedly planted 16 hours previously was missed by both a security sweep of the grounds by law enforcement and by a bomb detection K9 hours before it was “discovered.”
These discrepancies, these facts, have bothered me for a long time and might explain why Biden/Harris have not said a single word about Harris’s “brush with near death.” They’ve memory-holed the bombs because they didn’t want people asking inconvenient questions or digging in too deep. If the Capitol “overthrow” had not been successful I think we would be hearing a lot more about the bombs. Can anyone imagine that malignant narcissist Harris not talking about this non-stop? What we know for sure is that multiple insurance policies are now in force to prevent Donald Trump from again becoming our president.
These insurance policies cover six general areas: (1) fabricated crimes, (2) election fraud, (3) assassination, (4) pre-election lawfare, (5) post-election lawsuits, and (6) manipulation of the post-election certification process in the Congress.
For at least four of these six insurance policy areas — fabricated crimes, election fraud, assassination, and pre-election lawfare — some but not all of the details for just how each of those four insurance policies are being implemented have now become visible.
But we have yet to see what the planning details are for post-election lawsuits and for manipulation of the post-election certification process in the Congress.
Assuming that pre-election lawfare doesn’t take on some new wrinkle, and assuming President Trump isn’t murdered inside Rikers Island, and assuming MAGA volunteers somehow manage to prevent just enough election fraud to keep Donald Trump ahead in the Electoral College, and assuming post-election lawsuits don’t overturn Trump’s election — then manipulation of the certification process is the last insurance policy the enemies of our constitutional republic have for keeping Donald Trump from becoming president again.
I think it will take a detailed assessment of the amended Electoral Count Act by a knowledgeable constitutional lawyer to predict the strategies and the parliamentary tactics which would be used to manipulate the post-election certification process in the Congress.
One thing is for certain. If Donald Trump successfully passes through the gauntlets of the first five insurance policies — but both houses of Congress are controlled by the Democrats in January 2025 — he will not become our 47th president.
If that’s the way things turn out; i.e., the Congress prevents PDJT from assuming the presidency, the next question then becomes, who does become our 47th president if it isn’t Donald Trump?
The Vice President is the President of the Senate, only. Under Article 2, Section 1, the President of the Senate presides over the Joint Session of Congress for the Electoral Vote Count. Part of presiding is “opening the certificates” which represent the votes for the different Elector Nominees of the Presidential and Vice Presidential candidates. There are times when there can be two or more different certificates that “purport to be the Electoral Votes of (a particular) state,” quote the Electoral Count Act.
There is more than one Constitutional scholar, besides Eastman, who thinks the Vice President counts the votes and determines which certificate, when there are more than one for a particular state, can be counted. Two VPs who were active in counting the votes, and determining what certificates are acceptable, were John Adams and Thomas Jefferson. In those days, Presidential candidates did not run with a “running mate” as the Vice Presidential nominee. In the early days of the Republic, the candidate with the most Electoral Votes would be President, and the candidate that came in with the second most Electoral Votes would be the Vice President. Now, the parties nominate both the President and VP, and we vote for a ticket. This would mean Pence, if he made the decision about what certificates could be rejected and which would be considered representing the actual Electoral Vote of each state, would be making a decision in which he was an interested party. John Adams made a decision that enabled his election, and Thomas Jefferson did likewise in one of his elections. No one seemed to care. The year 1877 changed that in the Hayes-Tilden election. When some states had more than one certificate that could clinch the Electoral Vote for either candidate in that close election, the Republicans announced that their sitting VP could make the decision. The Democrats would not accept that, even though that VP was not running for reelection. He was just a Republican. A compromise led to an Election Commission that brokered a deal giving the election to Hayes while agreeing that federal troops would leave the states of the former Confederacy, leading to the end of Reconstruction.
The Hayes-Tilden commission ended the days of the VP counting the votes and making decisions. A few years later, the Electoral Count Act was passed, which makes the Congress responsible for counting the votes, deciding what votes are counted, and certifying the winner. Congress decides which certificates are accepted and which are not when there are more than one certificate for a state. Another challenge can be an Objection to a governor’s certificate representing the Electoral Vote of a particular state, called the “CERTIFICATE OF ASCERTAINMENT.” Written and signed by at least one Representative and one Senator, an authorized objection to a Certificate of Ascertainment results in the Senate departing the House chamber to debate and vote for two hours, while the House remains and does the same. After two hours, the result of the votes are presented to the VP as President of the Senate.
The first Objection in the 2021 January 6th Electoral Vote Count was to Arizona’s Certificate of Ascertainment. The debates were underway when the riot temporarily ended the proceeding. Thanks to the Electoral Count Act, Objections don’t make it too far. The Certificates of Ascertainment have advantages built into the Electoral Count Act. One is the “Safe Harbor Rule” and the other is what I call the “One House Rule.” If a governor gets his Certificate of Ascertainment for his/her state in by a date certain, that certificate is favored over any other that might be submitted by other parties. That is “Safe Harbor.” If one House of Congress votes for the Certificate of Ascertainment, then that certificate is automatically considered the one representing the proper Electoral Vote Count for that State. That is the “One House Rule.”

The Electoral Count Act was amended in 2022 to greatly restrict the scope of what kinds of reasons can be used to challenge a state’s electoral count certification. And also to require a one-fifth vote of the House if it’s a Congressman, or a one-fifth vote of the Senate if it is a Senator, who is the member of Congress raising an objection.
Is the Electoral Count Act in its amended form constitutional? Was the original version of the Electoral Count Act from 1887 consitutional? As far I’m personally aware, those two questions have yet to be answered in the Supreme Court.

One of the great mysteries about the January 6, 2021, events is the lack of curiosity by the FBI about who planted the pipe bombs at the DNC and RNC headquarters.
To me it’s not a mystery. Just because the DC Police may have actually placed the pipe bomb, it seems pretty obvious that multiple agencies were involved. FBI anyone?
We had just moved to the Swamp and lived 1 block from RNC HQ there. We always took a shortcut right before the hotel which dumped us in front of the RNC HQ. There were multiple cameras in that outdoor setting and often camera crews set up to catch anything going on. There is no way in hell that the person leaving a pipe bomb on one of those benches wasn’t caught on camera. After what we saw at J6, it was obviously part of their plan.
