So how do Democrats respond?
They have put Tulsi on the terrorist watch list. Every flight she boards, she has to endure nonstop massive security checks- including bomb-sniffing dogs. On every flight she is on, a team of four armed air marshals watch her every move.
If Democrats are in total control of government, and Trump is out of the way for good, what will stop them from attacking and destroying the lives of anyone and everyone who opposes them, or criticizes them, or threatens their power?
How far will they go, if no one is standing in their way? What is next? Re-education camps? Concentration camps? Martial law. Climate change lockdowns? The banning of conservative talk radio? Communist show trials for conservative hosts? Murder and torture?

I am not saddened by stories like this, I am heartened.

I find that quite uplifting and humbling, but it doesn’t make me sad, it makes me detirmined.
I usually end up in Prayer after reflection on our situation. Then I go and throw the stick for the dog or give the cats some catnip out of the garden and watch them “cut the fool” in the cardboard box with attack holes cut in the sides.
Then if I still feel froggy I go shoot the crossbow.
I have to teach myself to load it as quietly as possible with a trick shoulder like Mel Gibson in “Lethal Weapon 2”..
Other than that reading the Bible, CTH And my Special Forces survival manuals gifted by a good friend with some serious Service under his belt.
I also have to eat right(if that’s possible anymore) and stay as fit as my broken body can be.
Quite frankly, I do not give a damn what anyone does or does not do to Tulsi Gabbard. Or what she does or says and I never have.

Odd you should say that, I am currently listening to an excellent President Trump press conference, his second in the past two weeks. He is very much doing exactly that. Every rally and every interview I have listened to since Commiela became heiress apparent he has been on message and clearly contrasting his policies with hers.
We were watching it too. I was in the kitchen prepping for dinner, and heard a reporter asking him why is he always whining about Kamala. I wasn’t sure I heard that correctly, so I asked my hubby if she actually asked our President why he was whining? He said he thought so. Did you hear that? Such disrespect. Maybe Zelenskyy was not aware of the plot or the US State Department told him to look away?
If Zelensky wants Russian fuel, and blows up a fuel pipeline from Russia to Western Europe, couldn’t he possibly get a better price, since Russia lost a sales avenue?

It may not seem related, but it occurs to me that no one objected when, in 1913, the government suddenly decided that a portion of the result of your time and labor belonged to them. After that, how could the “elite “ not assume they have the right to take … whatever? Eminent domain anyone? How about the FIB emptying safety deposit boxes on a pretext and keeping the contents? Or cash you carry in your car? Or on a flight?

I wonder how many people in 1913 had direct family members who fought and died in, or survived, the Civil War and how that affected their days to day view of resistence. Also, how many had sufficient information about the goings-on that we can now examine in hindsight. Rinse and repeat for pretty much everything prior to the dawn of the Information Age.
Heck, much of went on in Vietnam was controlled by the government and their lapdog media, never mind the domestic struggle the Communists were engaging in during and prior to that time.
Until largely independent electronic research dawned, I was relagated to what media published or what I could glean from the reference stacks in the public libraries and their caches of old microfilm of past media. Even with that I never knew of resistence ops like the Bonus Army or the Battle of Athens, among scores of others. I also had no clue about what patriots did to the collaborators of the Crown during the Reovlutionary War or the granularity of detail in the decades of runup to 1776.
All I can say is, today, during the summer of 2024, the forest here is eerily quiet. The usual summer crowds have been more sparse than even during Covid and traffic on the local road is seldom, so seldom I can tell a local by the exhaust note or speed of the vehicle. No one is practicing shooting. Fireworks (mortars) were fewer this year than in my memory going back a decade. People usually take them in their beach buggies to the top of the dunes to launch them.
Anomaly or is there a change in the air? IDK. My mission remains unchanged and has escalated. I believe, in general, revolutions occur over time, with the kinetic part being relatively brief in comparison. We’ll see!
The first iteration of the income tax was instituted in the 1880s, specifically to pay the war debt from the Civil War; it was abandoned when the Supreme Court decided it was unconstitutional.
It turns into being constitutional once you’ve literally gone through the proper efforts to get the Constitution amended, so it’s not as though this second stab at government taking was done by Congress or the administrative agencies (not a whole field of its own yet).
Still, my point: Why do we allow it? What happened to Americans?
It’s interesting that the direct tax on income required an amendment while the direct tax ACA does not, never mind the compulsion to contract that ACA is. Our country has been slipping away for a long time, betrayed by institutions we trusted.

Of the four progressive constitutional amendments, the 17th and 19th Amendments had by far the greatest impact. The 16th pales in comparison. Indeed, it’s only significant because of the 17th and 19th.
