THE PATTERN:
Place story in the news if:
(1) It involved “unarmed black person killed by police”
(2) Someone (one side) claims it was about race
(3) There is evidence (the other side) the black person killed was in the wrong
If ANY of these three details are missing, this story will not reach the national news. That’s the pattern.

That’s the story. People here will likely see that #3 is an element as are the other two. Why would a story not having all three not reach the national news? Because this is an example of divided points of view especially as the media inserts its preferred narrative.
This is probably nothing anyone here doesn’t already know or understand.
None of this is about national news interests. This is local news. They make it national to get people angry and divided. That is the point and purpose. This is what has to be explained to people on the other side of the issue. If any of the three elements were missing, it never makes it to the national stage. And you don’t even have to talk about whether either side is right or wrong. Just that the three elements are always present for this to become a national news story.
I couldn’t believe they charged the officer in that case! The woman was running him over! Apparently, cops are not allowed to defend their life.
