Comrades, the European Union’s digital enforcer Commissioner Thierry Breton wrote a letter to Twitter/X owner Elon Musk today ahead of a planned interview with President Donald Trump.
Komisar Breton reminded Musk of the EU’s rules on platforms allowing information the EU does not approve of. “As the relevant content is accessible to EU users and being amplified also in our jurisdiction, we cannot exclude potential spillovers in the EU,” Breton said.
Any information that undermines the rightful status of the elite governing authority within the EU will not be permitted. Breton added that “any negative effect of illegal content” could lead the EU to take further action against X, using “our full toolbox, including by adopting interim measures, should it be warranted to protect EU citizens from [intellectual] harm.”

Find a nearby computer store and have them set up your machine with the Linux Mint program. The Mint user interface, how you interact with your computer, is almost the same as Win7, so the transition will be easy. I say almost, the differences are subtle. I’ve been on Linux Mint for many years now, long enough that Win 10 has come and gone without my ever using it. I think they’re up to Win 11 now. Don’t care. I’m sticking with my Linux Mint.

I was addressing the accusation that H.L. Mencken was Senegalese……He wasn’t according to the sources I perused.

This is true. I heard, from the son of a woman who was arrested in a large well-known city in Germany, in her home, she was alone, and taken away to be interrogated and worse, as she had been reported by a nasty disgusting neighbor who said she was listening to the BBC radio during the war.
I don’t know if that broadcast was in English or if they did broadcasts to the German people in their own language. Her son was a child at the time. Another neighbor gathered some people together to assist her and to speak for her and they all went to down to the police station and pleaded for her life.
They told the the police that this poor woman is grieving for her husband, who she heard had just been killed on the Russian front. She was distraught and did not know what she was doing.
The police listened and then let her go with severe warning. Her son had been very scared about what could have happened to her. This time a happy ending. Her son moved to another country as soon as he was old enough and able.
