I just read where Walz-Harris is requiring ID to gain authorization to enter their campaign events. They require ID for this but not to cast a vote.

The single most common sense fix to elections is a National Holiday every Federal election which involves mandatory closure of all businesses nationwide, with pay, and band mail-in voting except narrow exceptions (poll workers, first responders/hospital workers, military, that sort of thing). Mandatory ID and proof of residency/registration in the precinct. Ban “provisional” ballots.
That would fix 99% of the problems.

First, I thank SD for the title to this article. It was a good one!! On the other hand…..I don’t understand how this issue with Walz wasn’t better ‘vetted’ before choosing him. Surely the Harris people must have known that these issues would immediately come to the fore. So why did they decide that these fictions were unimportant? Did Walz’s other progressive opinions make him more attractive to them? Was he VP ‘insurance’ indicating that if Harris won, no one would want Walz as a potential president? I’m not sure I understand the psychology behind this choice.
And it is also peculiar that Walz was picked, with his fake military record, after a legitimate military member (Vance) was chosen by Trump. Surely this is illogical???
