Not only ignored, but mocked. I’m going to try to find the video to back up my statement.
Frey says on Wednesday May 27 2020 at around 6pm he asked Walz for the National Guard to be deployed. According to CNN, Walz finally authorized the deployment on Thursday May 28 at shortly after 4pm, nearly 24 hours after Frey had requested it. But it took many more hours for the Guard to organize and show up.
At 10:41 p.m. local time that night, after a Minneapolis police precinct building was set on fire, the Minnesota National Guard announced that “we have activated more than 500 soldiers to St. Paul, Minneapolis and surrounding communities.”
Then, at 11:53 p.m. local time, Trump posted twice on social media. In one post, Trump threatened to send in the Guard if Democratic Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey did not “get his act together and bring the City under control.” In the other post, Trump wrote, “Just spoke to Governor Tim Walz and told him that the Military is with him all the way. Any difficulty and we will assume control but, when the looting starts, the shooting starts. Thank you!”
I’m trying to find what time the National Guard showed up at the riot. Considering the timing of Trump’s tweets, it must not have been until Friday May 29.
I found out the National Guard did not arrive at the riots until late in the evening on Friday May 29, so this would have been more than 48 hours after Frey first requested help.

I wonder what ‘Karen’ thinks about her letter today? Does she realize she was duped and a tool, or does she lean on the intellectual crutch of it being ‘the best information available at the time’? Too bad she missed the opportunity to close with ‘stay safe’, ‘we’re all in this together’, or ‘for the good of the community’.
Admittedly, I begrudgingly went along with 2 weeks to flatten the curve but was quickly kicking myself when their tsunami of death predictions never materialized. I wondered why the Diamond Princess cruise ship had only relatively few deaths (remember, Japan wouldn’t let the ship offload initially and 3,000 + generally older people were stuck as a floating petri dish experiment). The ‘cruisers’ overwhelmingly survived and I then questioned the ‘experts’ predicting 40 million deaths worldwide with 2+ million in the US alone. I guess the only thing worse for outcome than a cruise ship would be populating sick seniors into a long-term care facility or nursing home with inadequate staff/facilities for handling a respiratory virus.
Also, one of my CA in-laws hung up on me when I sarcastically inquired about all the dead homeless in SF and LA (wiped out because they don’t social distance, where masks, use sanitizer, or sneeze into their elbows)? She was pissed because I scoffed at her having groceries delivered into the garage and sitting in there for up to 2 days before being wiped down with bleach and brought into the house.
I’m sure ‘Karen’ and her ilk will be ready for the next pandemic. Close the parks and rat on your neighbors.
And don’t forget Northern Italy where so many Chinese worked in fashion industry. Funny thing no excess deaths there just the expected elderly dying when they were projected to.
