I have looked through the comments and see other commenters have pointed out that two different Command Sergeants Major have publicly spoken out about what Walz did in abandoning his soldiers just before deployment.
Many others are pointing out the same thing.
Part of the problem with this is the title of the article/letter suggesting it was a Paid Letter…or a hit piece by disgruntled soldiers. Leftists have already claimed this, while ignoring the details.
What many miss is that there was actually a third Command Sergeant Major who also called out Walz for what he did.
For those who have not been in the military, a Command Sergeant Major, E-9 is the number one top enlisted person in a battalion or higher unit. For him to bail out on a deployment in the manner he did is just disgraceful. An E-9 is a far cry from the many Privates, Specialists (E-4) and buck sergeants who would have deployed.
Walz was CONDITIONALLY promoted to E-9 based on his acceptance of receiving a training slot at the Sergeants Major academy, and would have been required to serve at least 2 years beyond his completion of that training.
He bailed out before ever completing that training, with at least 2 years still on his enlistment, so he was administratively busted back to Master Sergeant, E-8.
He slithered out the door so fast, his retirement paperwork shows he was unavailable to sign.
He has also publicly claimed on his campaign site and elsewhere that he retired as a Command Sergeant Major which is a blatant lie.
People should also understand when he bailed out like he did, it likely was NOT that easy just to put another CSM in his place like say you needed a few more E-1’s or E-4’s to fill out your unit prior to deploying.
One CSM complaining MIGHT be explained with sour grapes. Two saying the same thing is a disaster.
Three CSM’s coming forward, all saying the same thing is absolutely disgraceful.

But in all seriousness, it was assumed by those who live in political reality that Harris was going to choose between two strong candidates: Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ).
Shapiro was the obvious pick in a world that isn’t hijacked by radical Islamists and purple-haired lunatics. As a reasonably popular governor of the swing state with 19 highly contested electoral votes up for grabs, he would have delivered Pennsylvania for free, thereby putting the Trump campaign on the ropes. Even Kelly would have almost certainly delivered Arizona for Harris, handing her campaign the state’s 11 electoral votes, again, for free.
But Harris looked at the astronaut and said “nah,” and looked at Shapiro and said “too Jewish,” and instead of attempting to moderate her campaign and pick up a swing state, she chose a man who makes Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) look like former Libertarian Texas Rep. Ron Paul: Walz.
