GOP-led House intervenes on Bannon’s J6 legal case, making good on Speaker Johnson’s promise
This new intervention from the House undermines the justifications the original Select Committee used to issue the subpoenas and provide ammunition for Bannon’s appeal.
The House brief argues the select committee was improperly constituted and that neither then-Democratic Speaker Nancy Pelosi nor the committee leadership followed the directives of House Resolution 503, which established the committee.
The Amicus Curiae brief filed by the House General Counsel nine days ago fulfills a promise from Speaker Mike Johnson in June to intervene in the case.

According to Telegram sources, Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whelan are headed outside of Russia to the United States in a huge prisoner exchange involving several countries, among them the US, Germany, and Russia.

There comes a time when you have to accept God’s will, that every human being was given choice. If a woman chooses to damn herself to hell by killing her unborn child, so be it. Let her go to hell.
Perhaps there should be a national register of women who murder their babies, just like we have of pedophiles. That way men can protect themselves from ever getting into a relationship, or marrying a baby killer.
I’m not sure any of us can condemn a woman to hell. That is for the Lord to decide when He looks inside their soul. I believe God is a forgiving and just God and will decide each fate to His own judgment. That said, I have a lot more disdain for those that actively push an agenda where human life does not matter when they are inside the womb. I personally only agree with the exception of saving the life of the mother. That is even the Catholic Church’s stance. That said, there are many who want to twist the meaning of that. (If you look at the original Roe v Wade, it hinges on this theory, but with modern technology, it is far safer to continue a pregnancy for a mother in most circumstances, and the trimester argument for viability has also been moved by technology as well-some babies survive weighing less than a pound at birth. But abortion is a complex subject and we will never be able to get everyone to agree. That is why the states deciding is the best path forward at this time. I’d rather save one baby than none and if some sort of compromise needs to be achieved at least in legal terms I will take what I can get.
How about we just push birth control for men as well as women. The guys need to take just as much responsibility if they have sex with a woman. Focusing on abortion as a means of birth control is nuts and twisted. Murdering an innocent is as wrong as it gets yet very few people are willing to push the very easy solution that both male and female can and should do. It’s so ridiculous that more effort isn’t put into the birth control solutions.
Yes exactly right on the birth control method. I learned from my daughter that one of the things the abhorrent Obamacare did was make sure that every woman has access to free birth control. The fact that women choose not to utilize that FREE birth control and instead rely on abortion is beyond ridiculous.
I know several people who have had “surprise” pregnancies. When I asked them which form of birth control failed, the unanimous response was not using any.
The birth control methods we have today are 99.999% effective when used properly. Outside of rape and incest, the real issue is a lack of personal responsibility. Period.

While I didn’t read the entire article, I got the gist of it. I think they are being extremely unfair. I mean, the Supreme Court regarding Roe vs Wade was a lot because of Trump presidency.
It is a long war. You win some battles, you lose some. You keep fighting. But if you fight exactly the same way you did, you are going to lose again. You change strategies. It went to states but women are overwhelmingly voting for it, quite rabidly if I were to be crude.
I am a Catholic myself. A sinner myself, maybe not in ways which is open for everyone to see. But a sinner nevertheless. I need God’s infinite mercy which ever present. I don’t wish the women to condemn themselves to hell and hurt my Saviour’s wounded heart.

It was just reported this morning that the father is believed to be making $300,000 per year in an area of the country that averages $70,000.
The mother appears to have vision problems and uses a cane. The significance of the vision problem is the that mental health counselors need to be able to observe body language and expressions with patients.
It was further reported that when the parents have been asked questions by reporters, there replies have been snarky and they have displayed no emotions or displayed grief.
The whole thing about them seems contrived and suspicious.

The home was not clean and there was evidence of extreme hoarding.

The 20-year old son worked in a nursing home as a server and dishwasher.
The house was certainly “clean” when authorities went in to search for evidence. So clean there was no silverware or garbage in the house. What else did they find in that search? They have told the public nothing. Instead, we have to rely on the few whistleblowers coming forward.
So they have mental problems (hoarding and poor hygiene) or they are mental health professionals?
Or are they just mental health workers – not necessarily licensed professionals? But that should be easy to check.
Also interesting is that the gun was registered to both the father and the mother, Mary, who seems to be legally blind and uses a white cane. Seems odd to issue a gun to someone who can’t see…

I see no logic whatsoever in that splaining.
1. A shooter in the tree risks being spotted going on, sitting in, and mainly during exfiltration after firing. No way someone not see perp exiting trees.
2. Shots from a tree would leave a easily discernable sound source location as well as visible muzzle flash.
3. Accuracy from a tree is troublesome for the following reasons:
Instability due to tree movement (swaying);
Instability due to poor shooter support / position platform in a tree vs a stable firing plarform in a building sitting on a chair with a tripod/bipod or similar stable rifle support that is concealed from view of shooter or muzzle flash; Leaves / limbs in front of shooter obscuring or deflecting rounds fired.
Those 3 factual circumstances do not exist with the perfect alignment of the concealed location of the 2nd floor window of building in question.
It is also noted that there are a certain few who, on this subject matter, appear to be contiually making ‘persistent and consistent’ attempts to deflect from, divert away, and discredit the ever increasing amount of evidence and circumstances based on recent credible reports of the ever increasing validity of the hypothesis / theory that the shots at Trump came from the 2nd floor open windows in the building adjacent to “Crooks” body. 😉

Besides all of what you two have said, there is no way Crooks shot all of the people, who were shot, based upon the location of Crooks body and the victims location. There would have to be serious deflection involved.
Also, the forklift could not be shot at the location that it was shot at, by crooks. The person who shot the forklift had to be in a location that was more to the right of CROOKS, but not too right of CROOKS, because the combine was in the way.
More than likely, the shot came from the inside of those upper windows. Which would also explain how the secret service was so quick to bring up that there was A police sniper located, inside the building. Then it became two snipers, and now it is 3 police snipers in the building.
Which was probably just cover for the real assassin, who might have been filmed coming out of the building.
Also, any cop that was in uniform, could be a fake cop, or other person involved in the event.
When and if this is exposed with solid evidence and good investigation skills that the feds took out innocent civilians things are going to get really nasty.

Just watching the 2020 election and seeing much of the evidence of fraud and corruption I agree it was massive.
Raffensperger was the tip of the spear, IMO, driving and then covering up the fraud, but he had a lot of help with little pushback. GA government officials and the courts ignored the evidence and slow walked investigations and litigation.
So here we are today going into an election just a few months away with little changes to voting procedures that could significantly reduce opportunities for fraud. It was shown in court that the Dominion voting machines used in GA can be easily hacked and votes changed (Halderman Report) and Raffensperger insists on using these, as is, in 2024.
So I definitely agree with your observation about GA.

A little insight into the Olympics boxing controversy, from an intersex person – ME.
I have mentioned before here that I am intersex. This means that I am biologically androgynous. I have something called Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome. This means that my body cannot “read” any male hormones. Zero. You can pump me up to the brim with testosterone and will have no masculinizing effect whatsoever. I outwardly appear female and was assigned female at birth. I have always identified as female and cannot imagine identifying as male. Even if I wanted to transition to male, there is now way to actually do it. I did not learn until my late teens after never having a period. Turns out I had internal, undescended testes that served no function and had to be removed in order to prevent cancer from forming. My vagina is a blind pouch, as I have no uterus. I am infertile. I married a man and have 3 adopted children. I am female on my birth certificate and on all legal documents.
Because of this, I have always been very empathetic toward those who have gender related issues, because it simply exemplifies that scientifically, we do not know all there is to know about gender, sex, sexual orientation, etc… So for most intents and purposes I am very pro gay and trans rights. It is clear to me, as an intersex person that gender is more of a spectrum than an absolute, like many want to believe. For example, someone like me, who has COMPLETE AIS, would get absolutely crushed by any biological male in any sport. I never developed male muscles, brain chemistry, etc…that testosterone would give me. So would it be fair to eliminate me from competing as a woman simply because my chromosomes are XY? (Fun Fact: I was a competitive female figure skater and wasn’t that great!)
There are other intersex people (sometimes called DSD-Differences in Sexual Development) that fall more within the spectrum of sex and there are over 40 known biological conditions that can effect this and can effect up to about 2% of the world’s population. These are the people who have serious issues and my heart goes out to them. For example, some people with AIS have PARTIAL AIS, meaning their bodies can recognize some androgens but not all and can develop with a very small penis, or a combination of both male and female anatomy. They may also appear one sex, yet identify as another. It can become extremely confusing and no two intersex people are exactly the same. This is where things get a bit murky in terms of sports. While it is certainly unfair to pit a biological masculinized male against a biological female, what do we do about the “inbetweens?” Because I do not believe that having XY chromosomes should be the be all and end all either. It is a complicated matter.
I believe that is the situation with these two boxers. From what I understand they have some sort of intersex or DSD condition. (I also believe this to be the case with Brittany Griner) So what should be the ruling in these situations? Can we look at the anatomy? Can we look at the level of hormones? (This can be an issue due to HRT hormones) or should there be a more holistic approach to determining which category an athlete truly belongs?
I would like to stress that I do NOT support trans athletes competing against biological females. I also do NOT support trans people from being housed in female prisons or allowed into female spaces (unless they have had bottom surgery.) I also feel let down from the VERY progressive Intersex advocacy group for allowing us to be lumped into all the other letters of the alphabet, as our conditions are actual physical conditions. I don’t believe anyone should be ridiculed for their own personal feelings, but I also don’t believe it is right to shove those personal feelings down someone else’s throat either.
So I look forward to hearing your opinions and thoughts on this subject. I feel awful for the woman who got crushed in the ring by what appears to be a very masculinized athlete and feel that this subject needs to be dealt with as a unique circumstance that is set apart of from simple trans issues.

One can accept on a moral basis eunuchs and yet reject the idea that anyone who has ever had male hormones beyond those derived from XX chromosomes from competing against women. Without claiming to be as knowledgeable on the subject as MzMaryMac, I oppose those who have had any muscular and skeletal development influenced by anything other than natural XX levels of testosterone from competing in women’s sports. How MzMaryMac might fit under this classification is beyond my pay grade.
LOL – beyond my pay grade as well and I’m the one who is intersex! I am somewhat rare in intersex as I am SO completely insensitive to male hormones my body could NEVER masculinize in any way. But some intersex are “on the spectrum” and don’t physically/biologically fit nicely into one sex or the other. So, yeah, there are a lot of subtleties. And much more common than people think because you can’t usually tell. I didn’t even know till I was in my late teens! (Some estimates make it almost as common as red hair!) So there definitely needs to be more study and I don’t feel comfortable lumping us in with trans people. They have their own thing. Not sure what it is and I think there is quite a bit of bandwagoning (cheating) going on by many who take advantage of the situation. But if someone does have a physical condition, there should be a way to more properly analyze the sex of an individual for sporting purposes than just XX/XY.
At least XX/XY is unambiguous. I prefer that until someone can resolve this issue in a better way. As for you, I would support “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Thanks so much for the courteous response. My parents did NOT know at all. They would have had zero way of knowing, as from all outward appearances, I present female. I have a female looking body (breasts, external vagina) female features, fairly small (5’4″.) One slight thing is that the word you used has been something we have worked very hard to take out of the medical vernacular, although it does still exist in some medical journals, but the correct, medical term is intersex or DSD. But it’s OK, just trying to inform, not criticize.
Brittney is a great example of someone who falls somewhere in the middle of the spectrum. While she has never declared herself as intersex or DSD, I believe she more than likely is. She likely appears female (no developed penis) and identifies as female and when the male hormones kicked in, it changed her development. She still identifies as a female lesbian, but that may just be for professional reasons, and she does call herself “pop” to the new baby so who knows.
My main point is that there is a DIFFERENCE between trans and intersex. Trans are physically one sex but mentally another (for those that aren’t pretending.) Whereas intersex have a physical condition from birth that they cannot choose to have or not to have and there isn’t a “cure.” They should be treated separately. I think the boxing case is a case of intersex or DSD and should clearly be dealt with in a case-by-case basis for fairness and safety.

Statement made by the International Boxing Association regarding Athletes Disqualifications in World Boxing Championships 2023

As stated, the International Boxing Association (IBA) feels it appropriate at this prevalent time, to address recent media statements regarding those athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif, particularly regarding their participation in the Paris Olympic Games 2024.
We wish to make the following points in these regards:
On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships New Delhi 2023. This disqualification was a result of their failure to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women’s competition, as set and laid out in the IBA Regulations. This decision, made after a meticulous review, was extremely important and necessary to uphold the level of fairness and utmost integrity of the competition.
Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors.
The decision made by IBA on 24 March 2023, was subsequently ratified by the IBA Board of Directors on 25 March 2023. The official record of this decision can be accessed on the IBA website here IBA Board of Directors Meeting Minutes.
The disqualification was based on two tests conducted on both athletes as follows:

Lin Yu-ting did not appeal the IBA’s decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), thus rendering the decision legally binding.Imane Khelif initially appealed the decision to CAS but withdrew the appeal during the process, also making the IBA decision legally binding.Our Committees have rigorously reviewed and endorsed the decision made during the World Championships. While IBA remains committed to ensuring competitive fairness in all of our events, we express concern over the inconsistent application of eligibility criteria by other sporting organizations, including those overseeing the Olympic Games. The IOC’s differing regulations on these matters, in which IBA is not involved, raise serious questions about both competitive fairness and athletes’ safety.
For clarification on why the IOC permits athletes with competitive advantages to compete in their events, we urge interested parties to seek answers directly from the IOC.

Compare that 61% positive viewpoint to just 9% for Congress and 26% For the Presidency.
Justices already enforce a code of judicial conduct. There is zero evidence any of them have engaged in unethical behavior on the bench that personally benefited a third party, much less themselves. And there is no evidence justices have deviated from their long-held legal philosophies because they vacationed with a rich friend or any other reason.
Sorry, the Supreme Court is an equal branch of government. Chuck Schumer is free to threaten justices, but they still don’t answer to him.
Nor do they answer to Biden, whose family became wealthy peddling a shady influence racket. The presidency, incidentally, has a 26 percent confidence rating with Gallup. The media, deservingly, is near the bottom of the list.
