The American public want to know what happened, how it happened and the context for how an assassin was so easily able to get within 150 yards of President Donald Trump and take several shots, killing one and wounding several others – including President Trump.
Today, the Senate Homeland Security Committee will hold a hearing at 10:00 am EDT with U.S. Secret Service acting director Ronald Rowe and FBI deputy director Paul Abbate, to ask questions about the attempted assassination of President Donald Trump.
In previous House testimony given by FBI Director Chris Wray, he was curiously willing to answer specific questions about the ongoing investigation and the discoveries therein. A substantive change in approach against the backdrop of his years of obfuscation. That said, Wray’s responses were not always factually accurate. Acting Director Ronald Rowe and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate have not yet answered questions and specific lines of congressional inquiry.

[Via PBS} – […] FBI Director Christopher Wray told Congress last week that on July 6, the day Crooks registered to attend the Trump rally, he googled: “How far away was Oswald from Kennedy?” That’s a reference to Lee Harvey Oswald, the shooter who killed President John F. Kennedy from a sniper’s perch in Dallas on Nov. 22, 1963.
New details, meanwhile, were emerging about law enforcement security lapses and missed communications that preceded the shooting.
Sen. Chuck Grassley, an Iowa Republican on the Senate Judiciary Committee, released text messages from members of the Beaver County Emergency Services Unit that showed how local officers had communicated with each other about a suspicious-behaving man who turned out to be Crooks lurking around more than an hour before the shooting.
One text just before 4:30 p.m. describes a man “sitting to the direct right on a picnic table about 50 yards from the exit.”
In another text at 5:38 p.m., an officer tells other counter-snipers: “Kid learning around building we are in. AGR I believe it is. I did see him with a range finder looking towards stage. FYI. If you wanna notify SS snipers to look out. I lost sight of him.” Photographs of Crooks circulated among the group.
AGR is a reference to a complex of buildings that form AGR International Inc, a supplier of automation equipment for the glass and plastic packaging industry. Crooks scaled the roof of one of the buildings of the compound and is believed to have fired eight shots at the rally stage with an AR-style rifle that was purchased legally by his father years earlier.
The shots were fired at 6:12 p.m., according to a Beaver County after-action report.
Trump said he was “shot with a bullet that pierced the upper part of my right ear,” and he appeared in the days later with a bandage on the ear. One rallygoer, Corey Comperatore, was killed, and two others were injured. Crooks was shot dead by a Secret Service counter-sniper.
In an interview with ABC News, a Beaver County officer who sounded the alarm said that after sending a text alerting others to Crooks, “I assumed that there would be somebody coming out to speak with this individual or find out what’s going on.”
Another officer told ABC News that the group was supposed to get a face-to-face briefing with the Secret Service counter-snipers but that that never happened.

I suspect they were also caught off guard by the unusual responce, which is to say lack of responce, of the crowd.
Who stays in place when bullets are flying?
The planners would have assumed there would be panic, chaos and quite possibly stampeding, with injuries, and that that chaos could be taken advantage of to muddy the waters.
They may have anticipated that that large crowd, seeing their beloved leader shot and killed right in front of them, and his followers around the country watching it happen, would rampage, justifying a crackdown.
All of which would have made a cover up either unnesccesary, or much easier.
That the crowd essentially froze in place, is the one reaction the planners certainly did not expect, nor plan for.
So God touched them all not just Trump!

Hello solution is to have a local police supervisor equipped with SS radio too. Yep simple two radios for select personnel for immediate communications. Happens all the time.

The local LEOs are frequently positioned much farther apart than speaking or shouting distance. Thats often due to a limited quantity of LEOs available versus the large area that needs to be guarded.
Local LEOs in that type of situation each have an assigned area of responsibility with no backup or redundancy. If they leave that area to get within speaking distance of a USSS agent, then they have left their assigned area unguarded. Electronic comms are vital to effective teamwork in providing protection.
According to Senator Johnson there was a central communications center. So LEO may have thought all their communications were getting passed on appropriately. Who was running this hub?

BREAKING: The FBI is now claiming that the Trump shooter Thomas Matthew Crooks had an unspecified “social media account” in 2019/2020 (when he was 14/15 years old) that posted “anti-immigrant and anti-semitic” content.
This is not consistent with Gab’s understanding of the shooter’s motives based on an Emergency Disclosure Request (“EDR”) we received from the FBI last week for the Gab account “EpicMicrowave” which, based on the content of that EDR, the FBI appeared to think belonged to Thomas Crooks.
Many, particularly regime media reporters, have doubted Gab’s claims that this request existed. Normally we don’t confirm the existence or content of law enforcement communications. In this instance we had to make an exception due to the overwhelming public interest in disclosure and transparency.

The story is this: the account for which data was requested was, UNEQUIVOCALLY, pro-Biden and in particular pro-Biden’s immigration policy.

I was Police Comm Dir. These 2 don’t want to tell you what they already know. Federal LE does NOT record/log radio communications. Their radio is encrypted but they COULD have their calls logged in the field but they don’t. Also, the Federal LE agencies do NOT like to really share their comms. This guy from the USSS saying it’s “hard” to setup interoperablity is lying. It takes very little planning, but they DON’T want to do it. They will typically just give the locals a USSS a radio to monitor. Local LE DOES record/log radio calls.
Heaven forbid there should be actual evidence of their crimes.

Senator Blackburn brings up to the FBI that GAB is reporting an account that contradicts the other social media account in terms of Crooks’ view of antisemitic and anti-immigration. The FBI says they are aware of it and there are discrepencies in Crooks’ viewpoints.
She does press him in terms of time frames of each account and the FBI does state that the liberal/leftist/whatever views on Gab (2021) are more current than the other account views(2019,2020). Good for her, but…..
