About the name change –
a relative of mine had something like three or four name changes because of an unstable family situation, and he is a good, Godly man.
A chaotic life can mess a person up in many ways, and sometimes it is reflected in a person’s name.
But the Lord can change anyone, and sometimes that is reflected in a name change, like Jacob to Israel, or Saul to Paul.
While I was not a never Trumper, I did not vote for him the first time. Instead I wrote in the name of someone I considered a Conservative.
I was wary of Mr. Trump, considering that he had supported some Democrats in the past.
I not only voted for him the second time, but donated money to him, more than I could really afford at the time.
I was so impressed that he actually kept his promises and that life for the average person got so much better, and that he kept us out of wars, that it was worth it to me to go without a few things to donate to his campaign.
My point is, that people can be mistaken about another person, but also that an honest person can change his mind when confronted with the facts.
I am willing to watchfully wait and see how Mr. Vance comports himself.
