Who among decent people, Christian or not, is not outraged at the Paris Olympic debacle? Normally, I can do tirades, outrage, enraged. But today, words, even angry ones, the ones that come too often to my lips, don’t come.
Today is a day for prayer, especially prayers of reparation, and prayers for repentance.
After my first inclination, I put down my stone. Instead of quoting Jesus on casting stones, I’ll include this one from Revelations Chapter 3.
So, because you are lukewarm, neither hot nor cold, I will spit you out of my mouth.
I submit that at times, probably most of the time, we are lukewarm in our faith, lukewarm in our practice of our faith. In our prayers, our hope, our charity.
And so, I accuse myself today, as well as the performers, the endless Olympic officials and committees and politicians, and every soul who didn’t walk out of there.

I am grateful, in no particular order, for rain, grandchildren, summer produce, farmers, cool breezes as I watch the sunset behind the mountains, that I live at the foot of a mountain and a hop from the Tennessee River, good neighbors, strangers who smile, and funny memes.

One of my customers at work is the parents of the Shackell kids on the Olympic Swim Team. Their Dad is an Olympian, too. We are a small business, but we sent them a small floral arrangement in a cute red, white, and blue ceramic gnome with a red, white, and blue balloon to express our excitement for them and to tell them how very proud we are of them.
I don’t know the Shackells personally – just spoke to Mom a couple of times, but I cannot begin to imagine the excitement of having two of your children qualify for such an honor to represent our beautiful country.
It grieves me to see what happened with the opening ceremonies… as if the demons give these athletes up as sacrifices to baal.

My dad just turned 90. He and my mom have already downsized their home to a senior living apartment. They have all the “things” they need. For a present we all chipped in and made a memory book -90 favorite memories we had with him along with some old pictures. One from my daughter was when he and I took her to a park to find a painted bunting- a bird God blessed with beautiful colors. Dad and I took turns carrying her on our backs across a field with tall grass and were rewarded with seeing a pair of these beautiful birds. I didn’t see it, had stopped watching the Olympics, & just from that picture I’m glad I stopped back then…
After seeing the blasphemy shown in one picture, I decided that not only will I not watch the Olympics, I will refuse to click on any stories about it. I refuse to fill my mind with such filth. May God have mercy on their souls and change their hearts and minds. Amen.
I am thankful for the rain we’ve had, but am ready for sun again. I am thankful for all the tomatoes, cucumbers, figs, blueberries, and potatoes the garden has produced, enough to share. I am thankful to have the strength to mow the grass and tend to a garden. I am thankful for a church family and friends with whom to walk and talk on a cool evening. I am thankful every day for Sundance’s warnings about the coming inflation. I pray for peace and an end to killing.
I pray for the heat to lessen so there are green beans and fall tomatoes. I pray for those with cancer whose condition shrinks their lives to pain or the next treatment. I pray for a return to goodness, beauty, unity, and freedom for ourselves and our children.

I knew the olympics were done, put a fork in it, even before they started. They banned Russia which has a large number of competitive athletes. This being the woke era, I assumed that it would be a stinker. Are they including the trannies? I don’t even know. I will say that they have surpassed even my expectations of how low they could go. I never thought that I would see they die that the olympics died.
The way media spins things, gotta wonder if Russia withdrew instead of kicked out.
Cannot imagine Putin going for this. Surely his intelligence gathered this was going to take place?
I wish our country would return to God and honoring Him and His Laws, and ALL our people become true saints.
I wish all Christian countries would return back to God and His Laws,
I do wish the Derp StaTE, from top-to-bottom, and around the entire world, would GENUINELY repent, or if not, self destruct, and leave all Godly people, and people of goodwill alone.

I can’t remember the last time I watched TV. Briefly, my car switched over to the radio yesterday. But my serenity was restored seconds later along with the Bluetooth.
They have no power over me in the media because I simply ignore them.
An interesting observation I saw last night in regards to the satanic, pedophelic opening ceremonies of the Olympics (so glad I rarely watch TV and missed them!) – “They would never mock Islam like they just did Christianity.” It was a good point, but overlooked one aspect of it. Europe is rapidly becoming significantly Islamic, in some areas a majority, so for the ceremonies to be held in the center of the illegal invader cesspool known as urban France was just as much of an “in your face” to them as it was to all Christians.
Our turn? It’s way too long – but sometimes once you get going, the words won’t stop. My reply in the wee hours of last night on “what I would like.”

I cannot believe the degradation of the Olympics. I did not watch it just read about it.
I am sick of Kamala already.
I am sick of those who will vote for Kamala because she is a woman of color. To hell with the country I guess.

I wish for at least 2 months of peace and tranquility in my personal life with no drama. It just seems like it’s one thing after another.
I wish I lived closer to the ocean. I miss the salt air.
I am grateful for my simple abode and my kind and fair landlord who has kept my rent ridiculously low. I am grateful for the new maintenance man who is kind and caring and does good work.
I am grateful to the deer who ate all the leaves off my sunflower and also morning glories…she looks healthy…lol. First deer I have seen in this yard ever. Beautiful animal.
I am grateful for my hike yesterday and the talking creek I discovered. I do not exaggerate, I thought someone else had gone down to sit by the creek but when I got there I realized it was just the creek! I want to go back because I still don’t know what it was saying!
I am grateful for my mountain view…I eat breakfast every morning looking at them and every day it is different.
I am grateful that I have not run into any bear lately while hiking..I think it might be too hot so I am grateful they are staying cool off the human trails.
I am grateful for my food that I can still afford to buy. And the new stove my wonderful maintenance man installed for me. I cook from scratch every evening and he really wanted to make me happy!!
I am grateful that Menagerie posted this because now I see that my life is something to be grateful for and very positive in so many ways, but still, God, please eliminate all drama from my personal for at least 2 months. Thank you. Amen.
I didn’t even know the Olympics were on until I read about it here this morning. Can’t say I’m surprised about the opening ceremony, kinda expected these days. It’s at the point now where I just don’t care .
Satan wants you to resent the works that he has his minions do. He has them do these things not only so that they will destroy themselves but also so that the children of God will be insulted and angry, resentful and bitter. It is something he can do to peel you away from the peace of Jesus Christ.
It grieves Satan and his minions terribly when the children of God do not resent them for their vile displays.
Pity Satan’s minions. They believe his promise that, by following him, they will not go to hell.
Okay then. The pagan goddess Isis and her “son” Horus have been an integral part of all the world’s religions likely since Lucifer was first informed of the manner of his own demise in Gen 3:15. He is the great counterfeiter and deceiver. The Isis-Horus images are today greatly refined, sculpted, renamed, and made sweetly sentimental with wide appeal as the “Queen of Heaven”.
But this imagery and its doctrine are only a satanic distraction to keep you from a real and personal relationship with Jesus, the Son of God. The most horrific verse in the Bible is found in Matthew 7:23 “I never knew you: depart from me”. And I ain’t talking about no drag queens.

If people could only realize how much greatness and goodness they would accomplish in this world if they weren’t so busy destroying everything…but no. And so it goes from George Soros down to the college kids.
But the one good thing that did come out of it was Celine Dion’s Edith Piaf song at the Eifel Tower last night in her glittering gown. Her husband and her brother both died the same week and then she got that horrible disease…and last night, she was back.

I rarely cross my hubby or my children, but I did last night. I could not condone what I saw, even to keep the peace in my family. Like you, and many others here at the Treehouse, I’m counting my blessings and living my best life, here in Illinois. Love to all you treepers.
My wife doesn’t understand the fixation almost obsession with drag queens the Democrat Left has to the point of drag queen storytelling in kindergarten and now this disgusting display at the Paris Olympic opening ceremony. She asks me “Where did it come from that even federal judges are backing it?”
When I tell her the obvious answer she thinks I’m a conspiracy nut!!! LOL
