I was really loving Tucker’s interview with Ben Carson. Dr. Carson is a great man and a true intellectual and I was saying to myself the whole time “maybe Trump should have picked Dr. Carson” until that clunker when he spoke so approvingly of Pompeo.

American support was not always there. In the 40s we purchased weapons from Czech Republic. In the 50s it was from France. After that it was the US.
The US support comes with a heavy price. The whole war in Gaza is a consequence of Bush and his State Department insisting that Gaza will have elections. Sharon the leader of Israel opposed and Bush and Rice insisted and so Hamas was elected.
In 1973 the Yom Kipur war Israel almost lost and the US State Department opposed weapon shipments. We were close to annihilation. Golda Meir managed to have Nixon overcome his State Department and send the shipments.
The Democrats pushed heavily for the Oslo Accord which resulted in exploding restaurants, malls, buses and over a thousand dead civilians and many maimed.
Just before 10/7 with the last Israeli government, the US heavily pushed Israel to give to Lebanon water territory with natural gas resources which was clearly an Israel territory geographically. This gave Hezbollah an achievement and showed weakness to Israel’s enemies. And now they are bolder than ever. After the worst Iranian attack on Israel Biden pressured Israel to not respond “or else”. The list goes on and on.
Israel is a weapon testing ground for the American Military industrial complex and was recently a testing ground for Covid vaccines.
But we have our own responsibility of being dependent enough for the above. We are working hard to reduce dependency. It’s not simple.
So why would I represent Israel on this US platform?
There are thousands of civilians who are Patriot enough to give of their time and skills to help their country. Of course the friendship with the US is still valuable. The Arabs always had Russia and China and Israel is with the West.

Fwiw, I don’t agree with some of Supercessionism’s presuppositions. But to simplify, I approach it from the historical, predominant, “Amillenialist” point of view, as distinct from a “Dispensationalist” notion via Darby in the 19th Century, which has been embraced in some Protestant churches and in Mormonism (e.g., see Glenn Beck). For one simple example, how do you read the prophetic promise of Genesis 12:3, “”I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you, all the families of the earth shall be blessed”. In modern paraphrase, it is spoken as “He who blesses Israel I will bless.” So who is Israel here? Dispensationalism would hold that Israel here is the Modern Day Nation State formed in 1948 called Israel, and thus that if the United States is to blessed by God and prosper, we must do everything we can to “bless” this Modern Day Nation State called Israel, including tons of financial aid and yes, taking out all its enemies, such as Iran. I once saw a lecture given by former GOP rep Michelle Bachman (who was a member of a church which was Dispensationalist) make this very argument to a group of Jewish lobbyists back in like 2010. It was quite alarming. Point being, it has an influence on the Israeli foreign policy views of some Republican reps from Bible Belt churches teaching Dispensationalism.
Amillenialism on the other hand holds that the Israel in this Genesis 12:3 prophetic promise is ultimately referring to Christ, the Word of God (The Torah!) and all believers in Him, whether they be of Jewish lineage or Gentile Lineage. It has nothing to do with this Modern Day Nation State formed in 1948 called Israel.
Am I against the Modern Nation of Israel? Nope. I wish them health and prosperity. But as I say elsewhere, my support of them goes only so far as a trading partner, no more, no more less. I agree, too… One interesting thing is that some authors have noticed that when America pressures Israel to divide their land, or do something not in their best interests or that goes against God’s plan for Israel in scripture, America has suffered sudden calamity of its own. Many destructive storms and hurricanes came on our shores about the time we were pressuring Israel into caving in to “land for peace” demands.
In fact, during the Clinton administration, some reporter friends were telling me that the night we were pressuring Israel into disastrous land concessions, that same night Drudge broke the Monica Lewinsky story — and the next day, reporters were focused on that at the press conference, which pushed the land deal off the table.
As much as I admired President Trump for his support of Israel — moving the embassy to Jerusalem, and being a friend and supporter of Bibi and the Jewish people, and even the Abraham Accords, I felt a gut concern when he unveiled an aspect of the Abraham Accords that involved Judea and Samaria — the “West Bank” –and East Jerusalem. Although he said Israel had sovereignty over the land, it seemed like he wanted them to concede control over it. I was reading biblical passages at the time about God’s judgement on those who would divide his land, and it made me nervous as a Christian. And this sounds crazy, but when he gave his State of the Union speech, outlining his vision for America, and Nancy Pelosi took it and tore it in half, I wondered if that was a prophetic act beyond her reckoning — like God saying, If you tear my kingdom in half, I will do the same to yours. The 2020 election — with the presidency being ripped from him despite most likely having enough votes, and the bitter division that followed, seemed to bear that out. I still believe God’s hand is on President Trump, and that he spared his life at Butler, PA for a reason — but I also think it was a wake-up call for him to really seek God and rely on HIS wisdom, and not just rely his own instincts and deal-making skills.
I do hope that President Trump treads carefully with how he regards Israel and its leaders. It has received very little coverage but this month the Knesset voted against Israel ever agreeing to a two-state solution. The only other option is a one-state solution with one-person one-vote meaning that Palestinian Arabs – Muslims and CHRISTIANS will have all the same rights as Jews but Israel will never agree to that. It is for all intents and purposes an apartheid state and most Israelis would like to see the non-Jews wiped out or expelled (preferably the latter because it looks better). This is just a fact. And this is not just a Bibi problem – 80% of Israelis support Bibi or wish he would go further in “mowing the grass” in Gaza.

Minutes later the leaders of Germany, Britain, France, Canada and others published congratulations announcements. Netanyahu waited until the morning and published a written congratulations and a short video which really pissed Trump off. I actually remember this day and wondered when will Bibi congratulate Biden because I understood the sensitivity of the situation.
In an interview more than a year later that a well known Israeli journalist had with Trump the reporter said that Trump told him that “Bibi was the first to congratulate Biden and they have not talked since then”, the reporter corrected Trump and told him what I mentioned above.
Trump was very mad anyways and said that he was a friend and appreciated the friendship and this was ”disloyal”.

I have to mention that Bibi regularly uses short videos to make announcements. It’s nothing special. The whole thing is a misunderstanding. I am sure they can bridge some of this crisis. I worked for – and learned from – guys like Donald Trump when I was a young man in the Alaskan arctic oil fields back in the 60s and 70s. That’s the way they would handle it. When Trump came down the escalator, I told my wife to “get out the popcorn – the circus was in town.” I said that he was the ONLY person who had a chance to make the changes needing to be made. I still feel exactly the same.
Again – the closing paragraphs are perfect. Trump is the pusher – like the tool pusher on a big rig. When a pusher comes on a job, the job is going to go – whatever it takes.
As I said, I learned a great deal from guys like that while working in an extremely hostile environment at a time before all the rules were written.

Trump’s 2020 Middle East Peace Plan was drafted by Jared Kushner and Ambassador Friedman. Two ardent Zionists who have spent millions building illegal settlements on stolen West Bank land. It was a plan that no one who knows anything about the conflict would take seriously. The plan called for Israel to immediately annex all of the settlements which Ambassador Friedman said would be immediately recognized by the United States. For its part Israel would agree not to build any more settlements in the West Bank for a period of 4 years. Big deal! Not much of a concession but just about what you would expect from a peace plan drafted by Trump’s son-in-law.
I don’t think Trump has any great depth of knowledge of the history of this region. I doubt he understands the basis of this century old conflict. I suspect Trump’s knowledge and ideas about the Middle East are informed by watching Fox News. Before Netanyahu’s visit to Mar-a-Lago it was reported that Trump wanted “Peace through force”. What does that even mean? It sounds good. It sounds “tough” but there are still hostages in Gaza including Americans. What will happen to them? By “Peace through force” is Trump suggesting more bombing of Gaza is needed? There are 186,000 dead Gazans according to the Lancet Journal. How many more dead are required to achieve “Peace through force”? Two million? Maybe by “peace by force” Trump means bombing Iran? “Hit them hard”! How would that work out for the 40,000 American soldiers in the region within range of Iranian hypersonic missiles? Are Americans prepared to endure war casualties not seen since World War Two? And for what? The “security” of Israel?
If peace does come to this region – and I pray that it does – I believe that it will not be through the efforts of any American President. Israel control’s American Lawmakers as we were reminded by the sickening display of subservience when Bibi held his war rally in Congress this week. Israel completely controls at least one branch of the United States Government! Let that sink in! Other superpowers are moving in to fill the vacuum left by the United States which by now is just a vassal state of Israel.
This week China brokered a peace agreement between Fatah, Hamas and all the other Palestinian factions. This major milestone was completely ignored by the US media but it has massive implications (Xi personally brokered the deal)

Note from the above article that Qatar was reluctant to agree with Netanyahu’s request and only complied after Trump’s Treasury Secretary Steve Mnunchin sent a letter to Doha saying it was OK with the United States if Qatar sent Hamas $30 million a month! Keep that in mind the next time you hear Trump say “Gaza wouldn’t have happened under a President Trump because Iran had no money to give to Hamas”. I wonder if Trump is even aware of the letter that Mnunchin sent to Doha or about Bibi begging the Qatari to fund Hamas? This is not something that Sean Hannity would have reported on so maybe not.
Finally, it wasn’t a coincidence that on the day that Netanyahu spoke to a joint session of Congress that China and Russia for the very first time in history teamed up to attempt a breach of North American airspace. These two superpowers were sending a strong message to the United States. I believe the message was; don’t get any idea about starting a war with Iran! China and Russia can see, in fact the whole world can see, that Israel is trying to drag the United States into a war with Iran which will be more disastrous than the last war Israel dragged the U.S. into. The Iraq war was bad enough but nothing like war with Iran. Within days you would have 10,000’s of dead US servicemen and women.

Two different themes in play here (IMO): loyalty to PDJT; Israel’s machinations in the international arena.
I’ll keep to the second. I have supported Israel for a slew of reasons – moral, historical, real politic, intelligence relationships, friendships with an Israeli citizen or two, family history in Europe; and, frankly I can see for myself who has acted barbarically as a matter of global strategy. Been in that part of the world many times.
Israel, very clearly in my mind, carries a historical burden that leads to a specific mindset/national psychology. It trusts no one. It does not divide the world it sees into threats, allies and others. It views everything through the Israel lense and trusts no one. It is forced by geography and technology into a 15 minute response time frame of mind.
I have seen some data I can’t talk about. The Israelis – the gov’t – do not conduct themselves as bonafide “allies”. They are the 15 minute country. They will turn on a dime if it is perceived to be in their interest. It’s a tough game to play – exacerbated in large measure by our own fabulously screwed up domestic politics. The turn-around to Biden didn’t surprise me one iota. The public overtness, however, did. The game still has to be played intelligently. Then again, we don’t know in depth the arm twisting applied by the Obidens.
Trust…but verify. Support but edge influence into direction when necessary. It’s a deadly game being played in the ME. Anyone who has been there understands that, at this point in history, the sanctity of life in that part of the world isn’t all it could be.
