That part doesn’t come as a surprise, not because of any security risk, but because in the manufactured optics of the 2024 election Team Chicago cannot maintain the illusion of massive Kamala support. The contrast is against their interests.
Also, when you understand the game -especially the IC role within the game- the outlet pushing the story makes it even more obvious.

Rallies are great, and I hope Trump continues them. But the DS has created a very real threat here. The idea is to get around them and have something unique that penetrates the consciousness in another way. Trump has always been a showman and his strengths are there. Town halls seem mundane to me, and they tend to be mediated by the media. He needs to get around the media, which is one reason why the rallies have been fantastic.
I think the idea is actually quite workable. But even if it’s not this kind of thing, I’m serious when I say they have to think outside the box. They have to play to Trump’s strengths and do something that can’t be easily replicated by another politician without true showman chops. Obama’s people are already copying the superhero iconography that has become so associated with Trump. (See the artwork in the OP). Artwork is easy to replicate, but personality isn’t. That’s why I think that Trump needs to exploit social media with an interactive show that showcases his unique personality and talents as a communicator.
Trump and his team need to employ trusted professional, private security – the Secret Service has been compromised beyond repair – both Trump and his supporters are at grave risk under the ‘protection’ of secret service… It needs to be completely scraped and recreated sans political ideology and influence from the Intelligence Community – Deep State.

I think your point is that had Trump not agreed to a debate at such an early date, Biden would still be President and still be getting slaughtered in the polls. What people have to understand is that the assassination attempt, (and plans is case attempt wasnt successful), where in place the minute after this rally was even discussed. People also have to understand, in the event the assassination attempt wasnt successful, there was a frickin plan!!!
They probably said,
“If by chance, our chosen shooter misses, dont fret, its ok!!!! We will tell Trump that we can no longer guarantee his safety and, he has to stop the outdoor rallies that engages his voters. It’s a win win”.
Bottom line, we are going to have to work extra hard to beat these people.!!! They have folks employed to think of every outcome and scenario of every decision and action, by either side, and use it to their advantage.
So Trump will rent football stadiums or basketball / concert arena’s with huge TV outside for overflow.
At first this really pissed me off and couldn’t beleive Trump agree BUT more I think about it I think it is a good idea. Way too many places for a sniper outside. He can still get 40 – 50 thousand or more if football stadium and it can be better controlled who gets in with what.
Plus AC or heat if needed.
